Diner Reviews
  • "Perfect menu with choices that make you think being bad is ok for today :)"

  • "Savor, situated in klyde warren park, is architecturally interesting and provides guests with amazing people-watching views of the park. The energy is high, the drinks are interesting, and the service is great. The sauces on both seafood dishes I tried (shrimp and calamari and salmon) were too sweet for my taste. I love their bite-sized dessert menu which gives dinner a sweet ending without too much guilt."

  • "We came here for my Mother's 50th birthday brunch and was beyond impressed. When we arrived we were greater by the hostess with custom menu covers that said "SAVOR WISHES YOU A HAPPY BIRTHDAY". Did not expect that at all. We had an amazing server and started our meal with the deviled eggs. They were so delicious we wished we had ordered two. My Grandmother ordered the french toast and we all believe it is the best sweet thing on the menu. We are going back this weekend just for that. At the end of our meal our server brought out a mini dessert with a happy birthday chocolate on it. The scenery is perfect as it overlooks Clyde Warren park. The entire restaurant is windows so no matter where you sit you are sure to have a view. AMAZING!!!"

  • "Good food, location and ambiance but we had to wait too long to sit even with reservations and after they tried to seat us right next to smoky kitchen. Should have comped drink or something instead of sending back to bar for long wait. Then we asked if we could share pork chop and they split it horizontally before cooking which made it really chewy and bland. But meatball and crab cake appetizers were great. Main course took too long and they should have mentioned they were backed up. Over very nice setting and great downtown view."

  • "The food and the ambiance were great. But my group would hesitate to go back due to the super slow service. We sat and sat and sat waiting for anyone to even take our drink order, then waited and waited and waited for our drinks to arrive. When our drinks arrived, our waiter finally took our order. Everything after that was timely, but the excessive waiting for our drinks really put a damper on our first time visit to Savor and with so many other dining options in Dallas, Savor will not be first on our list to return."

  • "We went due to decks in the park event, and we chose The Savor for dining. It was magnificent. I would def go back time and time again"

  • "There were five of us and the food was delicious. Three of us had the featured steak, one had salmon , and one had the short ribs. All of the food was outstanding, from the starters to the desserts. Our wait person, Layne, was especially friendly, attentive, and professional. The service was perfect. We enjoyed the park setting and the Decks in the Park. We will go to Savor again."

  • "We have been here several times, and it's always great - the staff is friendly, the food is awesome and the restaurant is really neat. The staff was especially attentive - we had an active two-year old and the servers brought her ice cream when they saw her getting restless - and we got extra attention too, I thought - can't wait to go back!"

  • "We arrived early for our reservation. No problem. They didn't make us wait for our table. We had just made the reservation as our previous restaurant had not seated us after over 30 minutes past our reservation time. How lucky for us! We now have a new favorite in Dallas. The experience here was everything you would expect from fine dining and more. Exceptional food and service!"

  • "We celebrated our anniversary and couldn't have picked a better spot! Great view and very romantic feel. Service could have been a bit more prompt, but overall it was a great dinner."

  • "There was a hair in our lobster puffs. The waiter just apologized. we ordered fries instead and then was charged for the fries when our original appetizer had hair. We spoke to someone at the front who seemed not to concerned. Note: there is a chef who has a long beard, just check your food. They made it seem like it was ok."

  • "We like to take out of town friends to Savor to showcase Dallas' Arts District and cool vibe. Food is delicious (not too $$) and the glass walls are spectacular -- great views of downtown and all the action on Klyde Warren Park. It's fun to have a drink on their patio while waiting for a table, especially if there's a performance on the Klyde Warren stage. We'll go again!"

  • "It was really great and great bar tender! We really enjoyed our evening and the food was outstanding."

  • "Loved loved loved the setup here. We sat outside and was so pleasant to sit outdoors there and overlook Klyde Warren Park. Service was PHENOMENAL and the best part was their mini dessert menu. Delicious. Would have wanted more local beers from local Dallas breweries if I had my choice. But that's minor. Overall a wonderful experience!"

  • "The food is always great but this was our first time having dinner at Savor. We find the lunch menu more creative. The Captain's wine list is short but very interesting with varietals you rarely find on a restaurant list. The food was great. The atmosphere on a Saturday night was someone disruptive with visitors to the Park running in and out of the restaurant. Did we say the food was great? It is a top 5 restaurant in Dallas in our view."

  • "High on ambience Attentive Waitstaff Tuna Tartar - As expected however, the presentation was thoughtless Crab Cakes - Exceptional! Savor Chopped Salad - Great. Mixed Green Salad - Sweet peaches...sparsely portioned Bavette Steak - Outstanding! Roasted Salmon - Mediocre. The smoking and bourbon cure were almost undetectable Shrimp and Grits - Great concept, good flavor, presentation was a bit disheveled Braised Short Rib - A real winner. Perfectly prepared Salty and Sweet Pudding - Light, creamy and flavorful The Fried Pie - Disappointing, heavy, flavorless The basil ice cream made the save Creme Brûlée - As expected Well executed Oooey Gooey Cake - Magical! Illy French Press coffee prepared table side - Delightful!! Well done!"

  • "I'm not sure if it was the day or time (Saturday Brunch). From the beginning, the waitress was pretty short and unwelcoming. My friends and I were ready to leave and we couldn't spot the waitress to flag her down and ask for our checks. After waiting twenty minutes, we went to the host table. Two friends were going to be on the same ticket and I was paying for my own. It took the waitress three trips to ask us what items were going on which receipt. We waited for another 15 minutes and in the end, she charged the wrong orders on the wrong cards. I understand that we all have bad days, but come on, at least pay attention to your customers. I hope she wasn't wondering why she received a lousy tip."

  • "This was the fourth time we went for lunch and have "Savored" our various choices each time. Their soups have been great especially the tomato-basil and their burber is outstanding. The device has been impeccable. The scenery of the adjacent park is pleasing and a great place for the children to run off their energy following their meal. Thumbs up!"

  • "The ability to dine in doors or in any weather is unmatched. The views from inside have all the drama of out door dining even when the weather doesn't cooperate. Oh, the food is as good as the view"

  • "The food was savory but flawed service & presentation. My salad game to the table minus dressing & the pecorino cheese. My husband asked for his steak medium & it came out rare. My fish was undercooked and again undercooked when reordered. No one seems to be checking things at the pass before it comes out. We noticed that the food was brought out by someone other than our waitperson. This also means that every course came with a "who ordered". The manager did comp the salmon and flooded us with free desserts - 6 desserts for 2 people! Warning,if your table is near the bar area you won't be able to hear yourself think. The waitress was also confused about which wines came by the glass and which were unoaked."

  • "We had a reservation for 8:30 and arrived at 8:15. Long story short, we were not seated until almost 10:00. No one communicated any delay to us, and we had to keep asking. The hostess basically said she "couldn't promise anything"every time we asked when we'd be seated. What is the point in making a reservation???!!!"

  • "This is a great restaurant. The food is awesome, the view is terrific, service has gotten over any early hiccups. And without question best dessert menu in Dallas. Julie doing a fantastic job as pastry chef. Would go back just for dessert! Good good restaurant, quicky becoming one if top 3 in D!"

  • "This was a pleasant spot for dinner; the all glass building makes for fun views, the bar is vibrant, and our waiter was excellent and a true wine enthusiast"

  • "I went with a few of my friends and it was all good food but there was nothing too special about it. Small portions, decent food, good service, fun vibe."

  • "I have been here several times, and loved it, this evening was a different experience. We were a table of 4 and our waiter did a wonderful job..at first. After our food came out, he practically vanished and we waited for nearly an hour after our plates were empty for plates to be cleared, and a check to be offered. Which normally if my company is good I don't mind but this was a week night and it was well after 10 and I have to be at work early. Secondly, a fellow diner found it important to not only bring their dog INSIDE the restaurant but also to let it sit on the booth and have site lines of the table, BARKING at passing humans. I am a huge dog person, but if I am inside, I don't want to share my dinner experience with your dog."

  • "We especially loved the location, setting, design, open feel, seating arrangements, park views, energy and excitement of Savor. Service was very good but not perfect. The menu seemed a little short for a restaurant of this size. The food was very good but lacked a little in creativity and execution."

  • "I have been waiting for the perfect opportunity to try Savor. Last week was that time and it was absolutely perfect! Seated outside sipping perfectly chilled Sauvignon Blanc recommended by the GM and from one of the numerous wines available on tap at the bar. Like! Next were cornbread crab cakes. How do they make cornbread fluffy? The crab cakes are large enough to share and not too large to fill you up. The braised short rib literally flakes apart. Soft and perfectly prepared, surrounded by Mac n cheese. Wow. The mini desserts are also perfect to share and taste a few things. My favorite of the six we tried, goat cheese pie w basil ice cream. Yes, you read that correctly. The chef changes the fruit in the pie seasonally. Go to Savor!"

  • "The restaurant was very nice. We sat at the bar until our table was ready. While at the bar, the bartender made great drinks and was very professional. The black male host whom came to the bar to seat us at our table was not professional at all. The host had very little to say to us but was over the top with facial and hand dramatic gestures to the bartender to cut off our drinks as he moved us to our table. For a very nice restaurant, pretty good food and drink, the host should be provided with additional training or nixed due to his lack of professionalism and immature nature."

  • "We really enjoyed eating at Savor the night before seeing a musical at the Wyly Theater. We were seated at a table overlooking the park. The cocktail menu was interesting - and the cocktails themselves delicious. We ordered the Lobster Puffs as an appetizer and ooed and aahed at how delicious they were. For an entree, we chose the fish of the day, which was perfectly cooked. What was truly unique about Savor were the mini-portions of desserts. We chose three between the two of us. They were the perfect portion size and each one was delicious. You could come here just for dessert and cocktails and have a memorable evening."
