Diner Reviews
  • "The customer service was wonderful. Our waiter was so informative and gave us great direction on what to order. The "all glass" restaurant is a wonderful place to dine. We will definitely be going back!!"

  • "The food and service and atmosphere are all really great. However everything is five dollars too expensive for both the quality and vibe the place is going for."

  • "I'd heard about this place a long time and it didn't disappoint. Food was wonderful and the 3 small desserts were stupendous! We'll definately be back at different times of day and evening."

  • "Enjoyed lunch on the patio. Cocktails are a little pricey but no real complaints. Food was delicious! Park views make for fun people watching!"

  • "We were looking for a restaurant close to the Winspear to dine at before a show. This was a great spot. Loved the scenery looking out over the park. Ambience inside was excellent. The food was great. We had lobster puffs, the short rib and the salmon. All were delicious. The service was quick and efficient getting us out in plenty of time for the show. Looking forward to going back in cooler weather to sit on the patio."

  • "We love watching the patrons in the park while dining. Great family dynamics - lots of happy people interacting! Such fun seeing the children playing in the water - they all play together, sometimes with a ball and other times just using their imaginations. Our waitress was wonderful, very upbeat and informed. The food was delicious and our special requests were met with a smile and no problem. The restaurant is a jewel in the middle of Dallas."

  • "Amazing Views.... Great Food..... Remarkable Service. Stopped for a quick bite after work with an old friend! We could hold a conversation without having to shout. Full but not overly crowded and great service. Give it a Try!"

  • "We tried out Savor before catching a show at the Winspear this past weekend. This is an ultra-modern restaurant located on Klyde Warren Park. The all-windows design makes for a very unique atmosphere, and it lets you enjoy the scene of the park. The food had some definite hits-- my wife had the salmon, and I had the shrimp & grits. Both were phenomenal. The salmon had a bourbon glaze and a slight smokiness. It was accompanied by a cous-cous that paired perfectly. The shrimp and grits was nicely seasoned, saucy, and with perfectly creamy grits. (Be sure to ask for a spoon to enjoy the sauce!) The deserts were yummy and served in bite-sized portions. The salad and lobster balls were both okay. The wine out of the cask is a steal."

  • "Location is fabulous, just right there at Klyde Warren Park. It had such a lively environment and the view of the city was amazing; felt like I was transported to NYC or something. Our server Edwin was very attentive and gave us just the right food & drink suggestions. We were familiar with the gastropub idea, so we knew that the servings were generally going to be smaller than usual. However, we were surprised that the entrees came in at a larger potion, which was awesome and more value for our money, especially the braised short ribs dish--HUGE! And of course it was absolutely delicious. This being our first time to Savor & the area, we were very impressed and had a great time. Definitely coming back--thanks for everything!!"

  • "We went there for a pre-theater meal and walked to the Arts District from there. We had our pre-teen grandchildren there and the youngest was happy with the kids menu. The rest tried a variety of meals and all enjoyed the service and the food. Set inside the Clyde Warren park, there are great views and a huge outdoor patio where you can relax and enjoy being in a great setting. Valet parking is available and we used it. We will be back."

  • "Overall average experience, disconnected service, food was ok. Appetizer of fried calamari and shrimp was bland, soggy and flavorless. Took a long time for drinks. Great atmosphere and bar. Outdoor dining is really nice. Food was average as was cocktail List. Drinks were priced well. Food I thought was over priced considering the execution and service that came along with it."

  • "5 adult friends dined at Savor early evening. The fabulous parking valet Gilbert, raced back to my already-parked auto, to retrieve my reading glasses from the valet parking garage! At the bar, Russian Lavendars in copper mugs were cool and perfect on a hot summer night. We were promptly seated at a round table (our favorite!). Can't say enough good things about our waiter's desire to please, the entire evening. Yummy shared Skinny Plate and deviled eggs:keep those on the menu always! I had Lobster Puffs as my entree. Never once did any of us feel rushed. That means more than just about anything! Our dear waiter even photoed us outdoors at the end of our dinner. I adore Savor. Was my 5th time to dine there...I sure will return!"

  • "Our server was very nice, but the service overall was very slow. We weren't in a hurry, so it wasn't an issue. Great food and cool vibe."

  • "I had a lovely experience the first time I dined at Savor back in January 2014. However, this visit was quite a disappointment in a couple of ways - the salads were delicious, yet delivered 30 minutes after the order was placed. One of the four salads ordered was delivered 7-8 minutes after the other 3 were served. Our meals were delivered 40 minutes from the time our salads were taken from the table. And, When it finally arrived, it was room temperature and not as tasty as my last visit. We love your restaurant, and are hoping the experience was a non-recurring event. But that being said, want the management to know of our experience and improve the situation. Thank you for your interest and concern"

  • "You cannot beat the setting and the view in Dallas. Thankfully the food is quite good because the setting almost requires you to come eat there at least occasionally. Great addition to the culture of the city. Perfect pre show spot for going to Winspear Opera House but the walk is longer than it looks. Still very doable."

  • "Our lunch bunch chooses a different restaurant to visit each month. Savor is by far one of the best we've visited. The view was wonderful, the drinks were great and the food was exceptional. Additionally, with free valet parking, you certainly won't be dissapointed. We will definitely visit Savor often."

  • "The lobster puffs were delicious, as was the salmon entree. We shared the 6-dessert assortment - all great - the nostalgic cookies and milk shot were a favorite. Service was friendly and efficient, and we loved the ambience and had fun walking around Klyde Warren park after dinner."

  • "The hostess was very nice and greeted you with a smile on and took us to our table right away. Once we were seated our server came and greeted us and was very nice and and knowledgeable about the menu and recommended great options on the menu for us to try. He checked on us at all time and made sure we were happy with our order once we would get our food. Lived the setup of the. Restaurant because you could be sitting inside but felt like we were in the patio having a great time, but without being HOT in this Texas heat. I think the only complaint I would have is how dark the restrooms were on the inside, but overall I had a great experience and would go back and recommend my friends, family and clients"

  • "We were a group of 6. This was our first visit. We decided to eat there before the show at the Winspear. The experience was amazing! Thanks to all including our server, Chandler, and the chefs, Matt and Nick. The dishes were all well thought out and delicious. We did a lot of sharing. Loved the appetizers-the deviled eggs, lobster puffs, and the lamb meatball. We had 6 different entrees, from the shrimp and grits to the butcher's cut. Wow! Savory with gorgeous presentations. The wine recommendation was perfect! Can't forget dessert! We had the 10 dessert sampler. Each one a work of art and flavor. We were lost in the food and the views so we had to rush to the show. Would definitely come back!!!"

  • "Our visit to Savor on Friday night was a great experience. It was quite lively with a very energetic bar scene for young adults. We were very glad to be seated in the back, away from the bar or we could not have carried on a conversation, but we were and we did. The temperature hit over a 100 on Friday, so with all the glass in the restaurant, it was understandable that the restaurant was warmer than is right @ comfortable. However, our food was delicious and our service, exemplary."

  • "Had a lovely "birthday luncheon" for a very dear friend at Savor. The waitstaff was attentive, but not overly so. We had a beautiful table overlooking the park. The food was excellent. And we especially enjoyed sampling a variety of scrumptious desserts! They even added a candle to a special dessert for the birthday girl! Great experience!"

  • "the food, ambiance, scenic view wonderful. Our server "tried too hard" to impress, talking incessantly about not only the special items but walking us through much of the menu, talking too fast. Instead of asking if we had questions, he just "started in" and actually became intrusive., Several others in our party had the same reaction. We love the place, the setting and of course, the food but the server's enthusiasm and "trying to impress" were almost too much. After I called him on it, he "backed off" and things were much better. In previous visits, this has not been a problem."

  • "I went to Savor for brunch with two friends and their 2-year old son this past Sunday, and my experience was mixed. The view can't be beat, especially if you can get a side booth with a view of Klyde Warren Park, and the outdoor patio is also excellent. However, the food was just ok, and the service we received was a bit cold and unfriendly. I don't know if it was because we had a child (albeit a well-behaved child) in our group, but our waitress was much friendlier to the table seated behind us. We weren't told of any specials available that day and had to learn about them after we'd already ordered when they were described to the ladies seated nearby. I'm willing to try Savor again, but I've certainly had better in Dallas."

  • "Fantastic food, fantastic service. I have sampled several appetizers each better than the next. Be sure not to miss the lobster puffs or the tuna tartare. Cocktails are fantastic as well - If you like a kick - try The Smoky Devil. Great! Atmosphere is great for adult dinners, dates, on Klyde Warren Park."

  • "I thought the view of Klyde Warren Park was outstanding. We were there when still daylight and watched it turn to dark. Just beautiful! The menu had some fun and interesting choices. I found the food very good, but my companion was less impressed."

  • "This was my second visit to the glass-walled Savor and I enjoyed it so much more this time. We were seated in a window booth, with great views of the action at Klyde Warren Park. We started with two new items, tuna tartare and lamb meatballs. For dinner we had the Japanese hake and roasted bourbon salmon with the white/green asparagus app as a side. (Note: menu not updated on Open Table). Everything was delicious from start to finish. Our waiter paced the meal appropriately to get us to our concert on time. **there is a substantial outdoor covered seating area that would be a great stop for drinks and appetizers. There are great options for both. The patio was full, even on a Tuesday night."

  • "Savor, situated in klyde warren park, is architecturally interesting and provides guests with amazing people-watching views of the park. The energy is high, the drinks are interesting, and the service is great. The sauces on both seafood dishes I tried (shrimp and calamari and salmon) were too sweet for my taste. I love their bite-sized dessert menu which gives dinner a sweet ending without too much guilt."
