Great small platesWe treat this as a tapas restaurant even though the menu is extensive & provides for multiple dining experiences. We like to order several items & share them at the table.5/20/2013 12:00:00 AMmadness for mamasRecently went to Sava's for Mother's Day. Anticipating a crowd, I made reservations but still waited 30 minutes after my scheduled time for a table. Once seated, the service and food were good, as expected.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMBest brunch buffet I've everBest brunch buffet I've ever had! The pastries were especially delicious and the staff is very attentive about keeping all the dishes full. Wide variety of dishes- homemade pop tarts, tortes, steak tips, spinach egg bake, smoked salmon...the list goes on.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMHubby's Birthday CelebrationWanted to try the Paella, was excellent as well as the chicken potpie, burger and sweet potato fries ordered by my son. Can' t wait to come back!! Loved it!5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMFirst time but not lastWent there a couple of days ago for a mid-week dinner. Everything was really excellent. Server was prompt and attentive. We had the Paella and the Burrata salad. Both were great. Crem Brule was also wonderful. would highly recommend5/6/2013 12:00:00 AMNever DisappointedI've been to Sava's a number of times; most recently I had a work lunch that required space for a large group. Not only was the table ready when we arrived, but they were very accomodating when we needed to include additional guests beyond our reservation. We had a great experience and the food/drinks have always been great.4/30/2013 12:00:00 AMGood food but a long waitI recently visited Sava's for lunch with a good friend. The food was excellent! I had a burger and sweet potato fries, my friend had brunch. Our server was pretty attentive overall, but the food took a long time to finally come out. Other than that, no complaints! Definitely a good place to come if you are looking for good food at a reasonable price close to campus.4/30/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat experience overallVery enjoyable dining experience, reasonably priced with a good range of menu choices. Service was great.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMBurgers and fries are amazing.Burgers and fries are amazing. The maize and blue burger was fantastic, and the staff was awesome. My girlfriend got a free dessert on her birthday!4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMEveryone was friendly andEveryone was friendly and the food never disappoints. We had the Lamb Shank and the Cappelini Marlong. Both were outstanding. Love that we can make reservations here!4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMGood place to eat before a concertOur group of 4 ate here on a busy evening before a concert. Our reservation was ready when we arrived. Service was friendly and efficient, food arrived promptly and everyone enjoyed the meal. This is a good restaurant before a concert at Hill or the Michigan theater but do make a reservation when there is an event at those venues.4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMA great mix of a modern atmosphereA great mix of a modern atmosphere while still making you feel very much at home. The Sunday brunch is particularly amazing. A little pricier, but well worth it to make a special occasion, or just a regular old day, feel a bit more special.4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMSunday BrunchTook my family to Sava's for Sunday Brunch. The service was awesome and the food was delicious! Can't wait to return to try more of the menu!4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways NiceSavas is a restaurant I can always count on. Their menu has an array of dishes and prices, so if you do not want to spend over $25 on a main course, you can still get a generous salad or sandwich for around $10. Their wine list is not that fantastic to me, but their cocktails are great and so is their beer selection. I would highly recommend the steak and potato salad!4/11/2013 12:00:00 AMAs always, we had a greatAs always, we had a great time at Sava's. The menu has a wide range of items, ranging from burgers and sandwiches to more serious meals. You might think the serious items suffer for this, but they are always excellent. When my sister was in town last year, we went there two days in a row, because we couldn't think of anywhere we liked better! I am especially fond of their small plates, particularly the risotto balls. The small and large greek salads are also wonderful. We reserved using open table and had zero wait time.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMwe had a great visit to thewe had a great visit to the resturant. it was my Daughters 25th birthday and she pick Sava. it was our first time. I would come back. the noise level was pretty high.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMEaster DinnerFood was great. All had a good time. Kids complained about the small portion of mac and cheese when ordered as a meal. Other than that, we would definitely go again.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMWe enjoyed our Easter visit. We enjoyed our Easter visit. It was a great experience. Parking isn't easy, though.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat for meeting friendsWe met friends for dinner and had a wonderful meal. The atmosphere was lively, but still allowed for conversation. Overall it was a fun evening with great friends and great food!3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMGood food, great service,Good food, great service, convenient campus location. Nice.3/26/2013 12:00:00 AMEnjoyed the food and wine,Enjoyed the food and wine, service was excellent but my god the noise from the music was awful. Nothing could be less conducive to pleasant dining with friends than indie bands blasting away in the background. I'm getting deaf and found the music too loud. But what the heck, the kids seem to like the place.3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMComfort Food with a TwistWhile Ann Arbor has many restaurants with solid food, service is often an issue - especially speed of service. Sava's is a notable exception to the Ann Arbor service dilemma. Offering tasty comfort food with a variety of updates (vegetarian substitutes for traditional meat offerings, spices galore, fresh versus processed), Sava's is great for a long lunch or quick bite before or after a show at Hill Auditorium or a film at the State Theatre. The staff is friendly, fast and well-schooled on both the food and drink menus. Seating can accommodate large parties as well as a romantic dinner and the atmosphere is lively, if a bit loud. It's also one of the area's few mid-priced restaurants offering breakfast, lunch AND dinner - doing it well!3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMFirst time at Sava's. A veryFirst time at Sava's. A very lively crowd. A very nice selection of entrees and small bites. With many restaurants in the area it is hard to choose. You can't go wrong here.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMNever disappoints, menu withNever disappoints, menu with a lot of variety and great atmosphere. This tends to be our "go to" Ann Arbor restaurant.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMDidn't think they would haveDidn't think they would have such a large St. Patrick's day crowd so luckily we had reservations! We were seated right away, food was very good. It was quite loud but appropriate for the crowd.
Will definitely go back3/17/2013 12:00:00 AM
