The food is even better. The ribs were very flavorful. Red curry was exceptional. Soft shelled crab in buns was wonderful. And the drinks continue to be among the best in Portland. OK selection of wines but some good saké. Had Watari Bune, which is about as good as saké gets. Only bummer was the service. Our waiter was very nice, but not very attentive. The smoked oysters, the brussels sprouts, the cauliflower... YUMEEE!! There was an issue with many of the dishes being chipped and a couple of glasses with cracks though. THAT was scary. One of them actually had a big chip out of the rim. I found this out because my lip got caught on it! Usually that would lead to a very negative review. (Hello management, can you say lawsuit? Clean up your glass & dishware doll!) But Jesse took such good care of us & the food was SO good that I forgave them instantly. And watched for blood in my stool the next morning. (Coast was clear.) We're going back in a couple of weeks.
