Satis BistroOutstanding main courses ofOutstanding main courses of skate, rib-eye and short ribs made for a memorable evening. Wine was very fairly priced and the service was attentive and professional.6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMFabulous place! Not sure what we did before Satis was open. I recommend it to anyone. Food is fantastic, specials are super and the service could not get any better. Love the inside for dinner and the outside for lunch.. Great great place.. Eva6/13/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful French Bistro!Satis is an excellent restaurant with delicious food. I have been there 4 times so far and have ordered something different every time. I don't think there's a mediocre item on the menu! Everything is carefully prepared. The service is fantastic.6/9/2013 12:00:00 AMLovely spotLoved the Interior Design, very trendy. Service was great, food was great, will be back!5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMDon't miss the prix-fixe,Don't miss the prix-fixe, Tuesday through Thursday!5/22/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat spot in the neighborhoodI love Satis- especially for weeknight dining. They have a smaller menu, but everything on it is delicious. Now that they have a liquor license their wine list is pretty extensive. It's usually quieter inside, so not somewhere to take a crazy loud group. On a warm evening it's really nice to sit outside. The best is their Monday-Thursday special with an appetizer, main, and dessert.5/16/2013 12:00:00 AMFirst time JoySatis was highly recommended by a very good friend. A friendly waiter greeted us when we arrived 15 minutes prior to the first seating. My wife's martini didn't taste right. We brought it to the waiter's attention and it was promptly replaced with no fuss. Great NZ white wine; fair price.
The waiter recommended several dishes: arugula salad, salmon appetizer and also a small salumeria platter. These were generally excellent. The ricotta gnocchi (one of their signature dishes) was heavenly. I usually don't enjoy 'pasta' with creamy dressing. But the gnocchi was just superb and its reputation well-deserved. My wife was delighted by the pasta-seafood special.
The service was prompt, attentive and discrete. We will definitely be returning!5/16/2013 12:00:00 AMBest restaurant in Jersey CitySatis has clinched my nomination for best restaurant in Jersey City, beating out both 30 Acres and Marco & Pepe. The oxtail risotto is decadent, and the steak tartare never fails. Also, they'll do a chef's selection of meats and cheeses, but still let you specifically request the mangalitsa as part of it. The moscow mule was the favorite cocktail of the evening. And the tiramisu cocktail is the best possible dessert.5/7/2013 12:00:00 AMEverything was excellent althoughEverything was excellent although my prawns were slightly over cooked.4/24/2013 12:00:00 AMA must Go! Make reservationsDefinitely a neighborhood gem. Seating is a little close. Overall though the atmosphere of Satis is cozy and romantic. They do get very busy so definitely make reservations especially on weekends. Their prix fixe menu during the middle of the week is great. Outstanding Gelatto and French onion soup! Only negative on this night was the bar, which was quite slow. Alrhought the place was packed so I guess it can slide. This is a definite must go!4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was delicious, butThe food was delicious, but it took a little while to get service. We sat outside of the restaurant. We definitely waited longer than the diner's inside. That being said the chicken paillard was worth the wait.4/17/2013 12:00:00 AMFood was very good. The menuFood was very good. The menu is very small and there were no special of the day.
I had the short ribs and it was delicious. My sister had the oxtail risotto, also great.
I found the appetizer portions to be small but the main course was a good size.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMAbsolutely love this restaurant!Absolutely love this restaurant! Impeccable menu and great service!4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food and service are alwaysThe food and service are always excellent. This restaurant has become one of my staples in Jersey City.4/4/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent for BrunchVery interesting food that was wonderfully prepared and presented. Will definitely go back again and again.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMMy first brunch at Satis,My first brunch at Satis, and it did not disappoint. Good (not great, but good) bloody marys. My husband had an amazing duck confit tartine and I had eggs cocotte with aged goat cheese and polenta. I think the goat cheese was boucheron, which I love, but they probably shouldn't have thrown a whole slice in there with the rind and all, because the inside of the slice melted into the polenta beautifully, but the rind came out as a sort of cheese string in my dish which, had I not known what it was, could have been very distressing. However, I'm a big fan of the rind of boucheron, so I ate it happily.
Can't wait to come back again soon and try more of the brunch menu.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMThis place is quickly becomingThis place is quickly becoming our favorite neighborhood restaurant. What a find!3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMBrought a colleague from outBrought a colleague from out of town, he loved the ambiance and the food was great as always.3/27/2013 12:00:00 AMWe loved the eclectic brunchWe loved the eclectic brunch menu! You absolutely must try the stuffed French Toast, even if you do it as an app. The creative egg dishes are all very good. Our only problem was that they forgot to check us in with open table, and this was not the first time this has happened at this restaurant.3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMSatis is a beautiful restaurantSatis is a beautiful restaurant with a great casual feel. Pillows on the settes, cool lighting and big windows make this a very comfortabe place to dine. The food is always outstanding. My sons and I all ordered different entrees and everyone was extremely pleased with their dish.3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMA group of 5 of us had dinnerA group of 5 of us had dinner here. A couple of us had already been for dinner and brunch previously. The menu is great and the food is outstanding. Almost every menu item is fresh and made to order. They have a nice selection of meats and cheese pairings. The wine list is also very good. However, our party asked for a bottle of wine and we had to ask twice in a span of about 15 minutes asking where the bottle was. Even a single beer order took about 10 minutes to arrive. The dining room wasn't that crowded either. Not sure why it took so long. They were apologetic for the delay in brining out the wine, but the service was a bit slow during the meal. The food, however, more than makes up for it.3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMConsistently delicious foodConsistently delicious food and the most attentive service.3/21/2013 12:00:00 AMThe fixed menu is very goodThe fixed menu is very good and the price was very good also.3/20/2013 12:00:00 AMEnjoy!Love the French type, casual feel. I've been twice in two weeks. Absolutely love the food, music, ambiance, and waiters. Highly recommend Satis, especially if you like a good salumeria such as myself.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AM
