One of the most authentic and exciting restaurants to open in Miami Beach in ages, this ultra-friendly restaurant has made fast friends of the neighborhood around Sunset Harbor. The young, mostly Italian staff is exceptionally knowledgeable and helpful. Highlights on the lengthy menu of rustic dishes include spaghetti bottarga, orecchiette with wild boar sausage and nearly melted broccoli di rabe pesto. Salt-crusted branzino, prepared in the wood-burning ovendeboned table-side, is a masterpiece. The fantastic, value-priced wine list is always a winner. Best to go with a crowd and share a platter of thinly sliced meats and cheeses with vegetables roasted in the wood-burning oven. Order a plate of crackly rosemary carasatu bread, too.   • "Italian restaurants are a dime a dozen in this town, but Sardinia is a world apart. First of all, the cuisine is a regional cuisine, and well-crafted. Then, there are appetizers (again non-traditional) or you can have selections of cheeses, or meats , or veggies. The delicious pastas can be had in half-portion which is a plus as well as the wine that can be had in glass, quartino (my fave) and bottle. With the quartino, you can haved a nice amount & switch from white to red at a reasonable amount. The servers are also very professional although it was a bit slow on a recent Saturday. The only con is the very high wine prices--a bottle of Cannonanu can be had at much, much less in local restaurants. But all in all, this place is a winner!"

  • "An Italian friend recommended Sardinia saying it is the most authentic of the Italian restaurants in Miami. He was right. It's difficult to resist bread here, not for the bread, but for the olive oil and what tasted like a goat's milk butter that accompanied the bread - so delicious, so much flavor. The olive oil tasted fresh pressed, and the butter had a taste unlike anything I've ever had. I love a good burrata, but this one was just ok. The pastas were incredibly authentic. Paccheri was comfort food without being heavy. Malloredos with sausage and a saffron tinged sauce - excellent. Service was ok. Felt the server was rushed. Nevertheless, look forward to returning for happy hour and also to try the tasting menu."

  • "We've been regulars here for three years, since we moved to the n'hood and always enjoyed the food and ambience and the service. In the last year the quality of the food has gone downhill considerably, as the competition in the n'hood from new restaurants has gone up. Wonder if Icebox or Le PetitBistro or one of e Pubbellies stole Sardinia's chef and staff. The service is still excellent, and the ie ce is friendly and warm and casual, though a little too loud in the main dining area."

  • "From the moment we walked into the restaurant until we left the experience was truly perfect. For some reason they did not have our open table reservation and the hostess did not skip a beat and said not to worry she will seat us right away. The atmosphere is fun and upbeat. The service was perfectly attentive and not overwhelming. The food was delicious from start to finish. I came with relatives from out of town who are foodies and they truly enjoyed it. Will definitely return."

  • "Truly the Mediterranean diet visits Miami Beach in this little gem. The wait staff (largely eastern European) is attentive and friendly. The small sidewalk table arrangement and larger indoor vibrant scene provide a wonderful canvas for the terrific food choices. The preparation and presentation is genuinely what I have seen and tasted at a variety of Mediterranean locations including Sardinia. When in Miami do not miss this one!"

My salad wasn't brought until after the entre and when I respectfully declined the salad, he shot me one of those "if looks could kill" glances. When one of our party spilled his drink ( his first of the night) he wasn't even asked if he'd like to order another. Simply not a nice evening..."

  • "Let me preface this by saying I have worked in the restaurant business for over 20 years and have dined at some of the best restaurants in the country. I went here with my wife on Valentines day. From the time we entered this off the strip SoBe gem I knew we were in for a great night. Hostesses were great, bartender and drinks we on point, table was ready on time, server (English/Australian guy) was the best and top quality in a city where great service is hard to find. We had the "Tegamino" (eggplant parmiggiana) which was out of this world, Moscardini (Octopus) very good, Prosciutto and Mortadella, excellent, and the Pork Ossobuco which is was a perfect 10. The best dining experience in Miami/Miami Beach hands down. See you soon."

  • "I've been passing by this restaurant for years, but, haven't made it inside. I finally made a reservation to celebrate Valentines Day with my partner and was very impressed. Our waiter Alex was very personable and attentive, yet, not intrusive. The food reminded me of the dishes I've had throughout my travels in Italy, specially, Southern Italy. Excellent cuisine, Sardinia is now one of the three neighborhood restaurants, I will frequent."

  • "First, the veal meatball was pretty tasteless..I'd give it a D...the veal scallopini dish however l would give a Bplus.The Caesar salad was average..I think the dishes were inconsistant in how they were prepared..disappointing. The place was very loud, the "banquette" seating was so old you sank down too low,and the wait staff asked "how does the food look"! Would NOT recommend this restaurant.If you want well prepared Italian food,try Spiga in Miami Beach instead."

We were a group of four, and all our dishes were mediocre at best. The waiter was a rookie and did not represent the place very well.   • "The evening started with a bottle of Barbaresco from the month's wine list which was primo. We shared the octopus dinner as an appetizer along with the sweetbreads three ways. The octopus was was tender and flavorful, and the sweetbreads simply fabulous. The salads were generous, tasty, and well presented. My main meal, the rabbit stew, was the best I ever had...and I love game dishes. The other main dishes were equally enjoyable with the lobster with pasta coming second to mine. The service was attentive and friendly in the beginning but got a bit sparse as the restaurant filled up. All-in-all, good value, fabulous food, and excellent wine for a fun evening. Ottimo!"

  • "What a great restaurant find in South Beach. It is on the harbor side so a little quieter and easier to get to than Ocean Dr. We were seated at a corner table which had high traffic but were quickly moved to a center table when we asked. We loved the unique and quality sliced salami's and mozzarella. I had the branzino fish, it was light and flavorful without being salty. My husband had the pasta. Just wonderful, unique and authentic food. I would definitely recommend and can't wait to dine again. Well done Sardinia Enoteca!!!!"

  • "Sardinia is an island off the coast of Italy. While the food is Italian it is distinctively regional. It is also very good. This restaurant serves up very tasty preparations of polipo (octopus), Gnocchi verdi, paella di fregola (fregola is a regional item consisting of tiny balls of pasta), and pork osso bucco. The service was attentive and professional, and the whole experience transported me to the "old country"."

  • "I am italian, normally italians should not try italian food abroad. The ingredients were authentic but the way to prepare them was bad. Spaghetti with baby clams....no taste!!!! But they were right cooked. Grilled Octopus was a mix of tastes, covering the real one."

  • "I can sum it up in one sentence. This is the WORST Italian food ever!!!!! Nothing was good, not even the bread. My pasta was horrible with no flavor and no sauce. It was just a bunch of dough over packed with spinach. We were with a party of six people and not one had a good experience. They all complained about how terrible the food was. On top of it all, the price was $185 per couple. Save your money and go somewhere else......"

  • "This restaurant is isolated from the main streets of Miami beach, but it is better that way, away from the noisy crazy crowds. The food is honest, as well as the selection of italian wines. The service is rapid and pays attention. The prices are where they should be (as opposed to Fontainebleau and Milos for example, which are two standard deviation overrated in both prices and quality). On the down side, the music should probably be European and not South American style."

  • "Are here a few times. Was very satisfied: only had one problem - an oversalted plate of soup. It took them no more than 5 minutes to replace the soup to my request. That was months ago. Then thy hired a floor-walking manager, named Massimo and apparently cut cost of the kitchen staff. Today the oversalted soup showed up again. I asked our super-friendly waiter to replace the soup as before. Not that easy! Massimo showed up and told us that a new plate of soup was impossible to get, that he wouldn't change the procedures in the kitchen for just one plate of soup, and it would take them an hour to get it done. After such an ugly, rude lecture I gave up and asked him to just buy me a glass of wine and forget about the soup. He declined. Wow!!!"

  • "We went for our annual romantic XMas dinner. It was the complete opposite. Restaurant was very loud, dark and tables were one on top of the other to the point that whenever the waitress of the table next to us would serve them, her buttocks were literally in our faces! Our waitress' service was horrible. She was socializing with other patrons and servers. We asked the bus boy for several items since she would not pass by our table. Meat she suggested was full of fat and very greasy. When we put the left over container in the back seat of our car the grease spilled all over; we had to throw it out. The waitress had a very thick accent and we could not understand her. She didn't deserve the tip we left her. Very expensive--not worth it."

Found it online and it sounded pretty good.........we were quite delayed, we called and they kindly held our reservation without any fuss. Food was some of the best Italian food we have ever had.   • "A little loud and can be crowded, located on a bustling corner of the Sunset Harbour neighborhood where the parking is not too difficult (valet service in evenings). Very good pastas, salads, Sardinian seafood dishes, pizzas, and a good, varied wine list, mostly Italian. Service is quick and knowledgeable. Noice level is too high for quiet conversations, unless you sit outside or in a corner of the back room."
