Diner Reviews
  • "food was excellent……eggs cooked perfectly…….pancakes were light and fluffy and the "special" coconut waffles were crisp and tasty. The crowd was young and hip. A fun and yummy brunch."

  • "Open, bright place. Friendly staff, good food. Recommend for lunch."

  • "We had brunch at Sarabeth's on Saturday. It was extremely crowded and the phalanx of strollers made it difficult to get inside. Once seated, we had an ok dining experience. The omelettes were fluffy but a little bland. My famous muffin had been hanging around for a little while. The fresh donuts were pretty average and the bacon was thin and a little greasy. The descriptions in the menu far exceeded the food on our plates. Not terrible but not great. Just average."

  • "Sarabeth Tribeca is the best Sarabeth I have visited, and I do know the Upper East Side, the Upper West Side and the Central Park South location. The Champagne was cold and the oysters fresh. The salmon dish was perfect and the calamari salad excellent. The deserts were to rave about, and so was the cognac selection. We went on a Thursday for an 6:30 dinner and we spent a most agreeable 2 hours. Chef Lee rocks!"

  • "Seated us at the back in the baby zone, while plenty of tables went un-used at the front. Server was slow, food was decent. Had it arrived hot, I might not be writing this review. But alas..."

  • "I really enjoy Sarabeth's. It was my second time here and the server was courteous, friendly, relatable, and prompt. The food we ordered tasted great. We ordered the mink fish (yum), crab cake sandwich with fries (yum), the Mac and cheese (to die for), steak hash and eggs (yum) and the basket of muffins and custard bread pudding. Everyone had their individual dish, but I had the pleasure of tasting everything. No one was left unsatisfied. My first trip I had breakfast and my second visit had lunch and I loved the food each time. I would come again and again and again. If I could remembers server's name, I would acknowledge her great service as well."

  • "The food was good, as was expected but the service was terrible! We asked for everything twice! Certain things were horrible though- like, I told them I have an allergy to spinach and asked the waiter to make sure there wasn't any spinach in the salad but it came with spinach anyway. My friend ordered a cappucino (three times) and it was all froth- difficult to find the actual coffee. We sent it back but had to ask for a new one twice. We were seated in the rear section. There were only 4-5 tables taken (less than half the room) and were very surprised by the staff's forgetfulness."

  • "I ordered the shrimp frittata special which was a soggy, tasteless egg mixture with 4 shrimp on the side, none in the frittata. The egg popover entrée was also tasteless. And I couldn't believe that they charged $10 for 2 ice teas. Overall a bad experience, never again."

  • "Not much else to say -- the bellini was a good size, the farmer's omlette was fluffy and the croissant was nice and flaky. We loved the farmers style of the restaurant, but yet clean and crisp because it was all white. The portions are big, so you're getting your money's worth, but it's not easy to save part of your meal for later, since it's so good."

  • "I have been a patron of Sarabeth for years. The food is amazing! That said, my last experience was horrible. It wasn't the food, it was my waitress that was the problem. She was OK, until it was time to pay. My sister & I placed our credit cards to split the bill but when the receipt came back only my card was charged. I inquired about the error, she told me that we only gave her 1 card We assured her that we gave her 2 cards & she told us that we were mistaken & we need to check our wallets. We told her to check again. She rolled her eyes & insisted we were wrong. Annoyed; I got up, looked, & found my card by the hostess. When the waitress realized she was wrong she didn't even apologize! the nerve. Sadly, I will not be returning"

  • "The coffee was very good, the bacon excellent, but the fritatta was bland and tasteless and needed salsa or a better hot sauce than Tabasco."

  • "I made a reservation a week in advance on Open Table but still had to wait more than 20 minutes for a table after reminding them twice that I was waiting. Great food and a very popular place but just too crowded unfortunately. The lemon-ricotta pancakes are amazing."

  • "Food was cold. Terrible. Service was very very slow. Ordered the Popeye breakfast-cold side of tomatoes. Eggs were globbed on top of a cold English Muffin."

  • "Made res on open table, specified in notes that it was wedding anniversary brunch, requested nice table with high chair. Was sat at table by entrance to bus station with no high chair. Service is robotic , no one did a check back on our meal once it arrived and not all the items we ordered arrived. We could have gone to a diner and received food of equal quality with friendlier service for half the price. As they say, you can put lipstick on a pig, but it's still a pig."

  • "My daughter and I decided to meet on fairly short notice for dinner near where she works and picked Sarabeth's, time with my daughter is precious and the entire dinner was a pleasure. We both booked reservations and instead of a scowl when we arrived the maître-d had a big smile and actually said they thought as much but they were ready for one or two parties. The waiter gave us time to chat and then did not chase us out of the building when we were completed. I have been in half empty restaurants in NY and have felt pressured by staff to vacate as soon as the coffee cup hit the table. I eat and entertain at some of the best restaurants around the world and could not have been happier with Sarabeth's."

  • "You can't hate on Sarabeth's Tribeca during brunch -- the restaurant does an excellent job of pushing out well-cooked, delicious food quickly and under the pressure of a huge crowd (always). I tried their four flowers mimosa for the first time (which was refreshing and inventive) as well as the hot chocolate (very chocolatey but without being heavy or bitter). I also had old favorites - the basket of muffins and french toast (which I won't bother raving about again but everyone should try them). My only critique would be the english muffin served with my mom's eggs benedict -- it had been toasted and then probably sat out a bit too long before being served because it was hard and tough to cut through. An unusual mistake for the restaurant."

  • "Food quality is not tasty and super small in size on certain dishes. I've ordered the Crab Cake Sandwich and it was not tasty. Also, the coffee/cafe latte was too strong and too bitter, it tasted horrible. In comparing with the "Walkers" on Franklin St, the size was super small and not able to fill-up. However, the price is fair and competible with the Deans and Walkers. I will rather go to the Walkers or the Deans, or I will try-out 'Wolfgang Steak House next time."

  • "Unfortunately, brunch was nothing to write home about. As expected it was busy but our table was ready when we arrived which was a good start. My husband ordered the cream of tomato soup followed by a burger & I had an omelette. The soup arrived approx 20 min after ordering which would’ve been fine, however the remaining items arrived 5 minutes (at most) later. I will say that the soup was delicious but the other items fell short. The burger was fine and my omelette was very watery. Overall an unimpressed experience."

  • "Lovely place for brunch in TriBeCa. I had to change my reservation time the morning of and the staff were very helpful. I thought we would lose our spot since Sunday Brunch is so popular in the city. Service was lovely, the food delicious and the atmosphere energetic. This was a reunion meal for the four of us and we stayed a long time during peak hours without any hassle from the staff. I will definitely go back! :)"

  • "The food is fantastic. Great eggs, pumpkin waffles, pastries, and utterly amazing hot chocolate. The dining room is large, tables are spaced well, with lots of room to sit, even for groups. Wonderful restaurant for a quick breakfast at the bar, sit down brunch, or delightful lunch."

  • "This place was recommended by numerous friends so i figured I would give it a try. Uncharacteristically, I ordered the basket of muffins, which was surprisingly fantastic. The eggs Benedict was good. I would go back for the right occasion."

  • "Took my daughter here for a meal and a chat. Spinach and goat cheese omelette with a scone did the trick...and having your 28 year old Manhattanite impressed with Mom's restaurant choice...priceless!"

  • "I had looked forward to visiting Sarabeth's for my trip in New York. I was satisfied with their neat culinary taste and nice service as much as I expected, and also the atmosphere through interior. So I'd like to visit all of their store."

  • "We were rushed to ordered. Once we did, the waitress had not returned for any refills for our coffee or water. The food was okay and anything special for this NY tourist menu prices. This was my second time back and both time was not impressed with the food & service."

  • "Used open table to find this place, went on a saturday for lunch. Reservations a must, lines out the door. I had the seafood Cobb salad and a very large Bloody Mary . My friends, omelette's and peach Belinis. Seafood Cobb salad was very good, Portion just right although I skipped dinner that night,,,hmmm? Bloody Mary-delicious. Dessert was deeelish!!!!, (apple crumb ala mode) Waiter was very helpful with choices once asked, & very friendly. Very noisy while waiting for table, but were able to carry on conversation without yelling and could easily hear each other. Lunch with one drink each and 2 desserts came to 130+ for 3. I'd go back."

  • "I had a. 1 pm reservation. I checked in 35 min early and my entire party arrived on time, however, we still waited 45 minutes to be seated despite seats seemingly opening up around us. I felt that I would have been seated more promptly if I had been out on the wait list. Why take reservations if customers still have to wait?"

  • "I came here with a good friend of mine to catch up after being apart for the pay few months. It was great, the servers were very attentive and the food and tea came quickly. The atmosphere was perfect for us to be able to talk without yelling across the table. I definitely recommend this place."

  • "I love Sarahbeths and will always come back here, no matter what. However it gets a little annoying when you are having a later brunch and feel like you are being pushed out the doors because your server is trying to close his table... Being asked more than 3 times (by three different people) if we are ready to pay our bill is a little obnoxious. The food, like always, was fantastic and another satisfied group of 4. Keep up the good work."

  • "Sarabeth's TriBeCa was the perfect location for Girls Night Out! My girlfriends and I had never been there before. Wes, our waiter, was amazing and never made us feel rushed. We stayed for over 4 hours...we drank, we ate, we indulged, we laughed ALOT and Sarabeth's TriBeCa was the perfect location for it."

  • "Want to get brunch with your parents only to realize your encyclopedic knowledge of brunch places relies on unlimited drinks an that will not work? This is honestly a wonderful option. Great variety on the menu, amazing eggs. I had the lemon ricotta pancakes, which were good but I was expecting blackberry compote or sauce, and instead got dry pancakes with blackberries on the side. My mother's omelette was wonderful and fluffy, so when I go back I will be ordering that instead."

  • "I love Sarabeth's all around the city for brunch and this location is no different. Delicious food... friendly staff... you never feel rushed... and beautiful decor. I went here with my bridesmaids for brunch before trying on my wedding dress around the corner. A wonderful experience and delicious bellinis too! I took off a star because they will not seat you until everyone has arrived and there's not really any bar to wait at for everyone because people sit at the bar for brunch. The entryway was full of baby carriages so we had to step outside into the rain and wait... luckily we all had umbrellas and it wasn't too cold!"
