  • "I was a bit put off by the mostly negative reviews, but decided to see for myself. I was not disappointed... The special I chose --Cod on black rice with kale was delicious! The service was attentive; the server was cheerful; I was not rushed. It was jazz night so I enjoyed the musical accompaniment. A large space, but a good layout to accommodate singles and groups. The only drawbacks were that there was a cold draft--I was in the banquette area next to the windows-- and I found the price a bit more than I would have liked to pay (although the portions are generous; I was able to take home enough for my dinner the following evening.) I probably would go again only for a special treat to myself. Overall, it was a good experience."

  • "My first time at Sarabeth was very amazing. The food was great and the drinks were delicious. At first the service was great. I used OpenTable app to make a reservation and it was quick and easy when i arrived to Sarabeth for brunch. I just had to wait for a few minutes and I was seated. The front desk people were very nice and so were the staff there. The one part that I didn't like was that no one took my order for awhile. I wasn't sure if they thought we weren't ready but it did took awhile for me to get someone. The food did came out quick and the egg Benedict were amazing. I would go back again to Sarabeth and I hope next time the waiters would take my order faster."

  • "Brunch was spoiled by the high noise level and slow service. The computer was down, but when I identified myself and said I had a reservation, we were rapidly shown to a table with 4 seats, although the reservation was for 2. There had been a line going outside that we had to negotiate before getting to the reception desk at 11:15 for an 11:30 table."

  • "Overall, I think I enjoyed my brunch. The day I was there they ran into an issue where their computer was down. The hostess appeared stressed while on the phone trying to fix it and completely ignored the long line of people I was in. It was frustrating to be ignored when there was another line of hostesses waiting to take us to our tables. Rather than explain the situation, they simply stood there and didn't provide updates on what was going on. Once we were seated our server was fairly attentive, although I ran out of my drink half way through brunch and he never offered to refill it. The food was very filling and good, which was a bonus."

  • "This was not a great experience from the very beginning. One hostess was perfectly lovely, but the other was downright condescending and rude. At one point, when I asked the someone to tell our server that we were ready to order, he actually rolled his eyes at me. I know these restaurants are always packed, but frankly I'm not sure what all the hype is about. The food was ok, but not amazing. Staff could certainly do with brushing up on their customer service skills."

  • "Sarabeth's is my absolute favorite brunch place in the city! There food is amazing, but their mimosas (four flowers mimosa) is to die for!! Special shoutout to our server (didn't get his name unfortunately) who got my friend (who's birthday we were celebrating) a special dessert on the house with a candle! amazing experience"

  • "Sarabeth's on Park Avenue is TERRIBLE. The food is mass-produced, over priced, bland, and stale. I ordered an omelet and was told it might take a bit of time because the restaurant was packed. Well, I wish they had spent time on my dish! The server returned in less than 3 minutes with an omelet, but the cheese wasn't even melted on the inside. I could tell that they had pre-made the egg portion and just threw some cheese on there. It tasted like it was made in a microwave. They threw a very dry/stale muffin on the plate and it was gross. Nothing tasted like how I remembered Sarabeth's food. It was like eating at McDonald's, only far more expensive. I live in NY and have gotten far better meals at the local diner! Don't go!"

  • "This was my 2nd time at Sarabeth's and my first time was great so I was excited to go back. It was packed when I walked in but luckily we were seated quickly (had a reservation and it was a Sunday). The service was slow and food was ok. For an $18 breakfast all I got was eggs and cold toast. No fruit or salad and bread is extra. For these prices they should 100% include more. The service was average as well, all 3 of our waiters barely spoke english making a bit difficult to understand each other. They don't allow substitutes which is very annoying if you want to switch out something. 1 mimosa is $13, typical NYC prices but for these prices I expect outstanding service/food and this is not what I got. I will not be returning anytime soon."

  • "I'm not sure why this restaurant is so well known... as the food was nothing special AT ALL. Besides the waiter getting my tea order wrong 3 times (I ordered a green tea, he first brought me cinnamon spice. When I told him I ordered green tea, he brought me back first earl grey then another). Regarding the food.. put it this way: I enjoy the $3.50 omelette I pick up from Murray Hill market more. To top things off, the waiter charged me $21 for the omelette. Thankfully I noticed this and said something. Long story short, this place isn't worth your time.. especially in a city with dozens of amazing brunch places!"

  • "Went here for brunch last sunday. Overall it was very good. Extremely busy, but the hosts were very polite and prompt with our reservation. Restaurant itself was clean and neatly set up. Food was delicious. Service was good. The only thing I thought was tacky was how they charged me 2.00 for a cup of 'hot water'. It's a respectable and reputable place so it just seemed funny. Other than that little note I can say I'll definitely return!"

  • "I had been to this location before and was content with the food and service. I guess I went on a not so busy day because my last experience was very dissapointing. I ordered the Kale and eggs brunch entree (same as the time I had a better experience). The kale was soggy and clearly prepared many hours before brunch, eggs overcooked and cold... The coffee was lukewarm and refills infrequent. The restaurant was busy but that is not an excuse for the food to be bad. I don't think I will be back."

  • "Dined here with 2 other people for lunch last friday 3/7/14 the food was average service was worst. One of us ordered a well done burger and was returned twice and they still did not get it right so my friend gave up and did not want to make a big deal and just ate her fries. The sad part was the waiter did not even mention anything that would not be in our bill nor did management come over to try to resolve. This was my second time dining here, my first visit was better than this time, was very dissapointed."

It was a round bar table that barely fit our two plates, forget the coffee and tea. But I'd sit on the floor for the yummy omlette, scone, and excellent service."

  • "We have been to Sarabeth's on Madison and Amsterdam, and this new Sarabeth's makes the entire eating experience of the Sarabeth's family altogether new and refreshing. It's much more modern and contemporary than either of these other two, which are kind of ld and tired looking, although the food is always good. We thoroughly enjoyed the food by Chef Rita, the service by Olaya, our server and the ambiance--modern and elegant. We both had the seafood cobb salad and it was plentiful and delicious. Lots of crabmeat. It was proceeded by prosciutto and burrata on toasted bread with honey. Delicious!!!! Definitely the best Sarabeth's in Manhattan"

  • "Everything about this restaurant operated beautifully. The service staff were just so lovely and our waiter was just delightful. She engaged with our 11-year-old son and managed not to make us feel that she was intruding on our evening. The food pairings were amazing. The items on their own did not create any joy, but a forkful of everything was just the perfect bite. The lamb came apart with just the fork, the roasted chicken was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside, and the seafood couscous made the 11-year-old rapturous. And dessert was delicious."

  • "My dad took my husband, my three girls and me here for Sunday brunch. The menu selection was phenomenal…something for everyone…yummy pastries, steel cut oats, decadent breakfast selections of fat fluffy french toast and buttermilk pancakes. We had a room booth that fit six. The staff was fabulous and the energy was great. The atmosphere was fine…clean and spacious but there wasn't a lot of charm."

  • "loved every vegetable that came my way, the salads were expertly crafted beautifully plated and the dressings were all top notch. the chicken was dry and lacked flavor, same with the fish, bacon was over cooked etc. I would definintely go back to Sarabeth's when I have an insatiable craving for salad or a vegetarian meal!"

  • "Who could resist the classic on a cold Winter's day? This place knows how to deliver comfort food while making it feel more refined. Been here several times for brunch and lunch items. Never been disappointed. It does get busy for lunch so don't expect a romantic setting. However, it is perfect for a client lunch or a friends brunch."

  • "I've had my last visit to Sarabeth's. The location is within steps of my office so it would be an ideal go-to place. They either don't have enough wait staff or the wait staff isn't on it. For example, at my last visit, which mimics the two other visits, it was ten minutes after we sat down before the waiter approached us. When our appetizer are, we asked for bread which should have been delivered earlier? Then we asked for bread plates sand received half the plates we needed. Entrees were delivered and that was fine. We had to flag down our waiter after the entree for the check. The restaurant is a nice space and food is decent, but there are other neighborhood places to get decent or better food with better service."
