Sarabeth's EastA great place for brunch!"I love the comfortable but refined atmosphere. The chicken sausage was delicious and the eggs benedict were also very good. It's a great sign when we're tasting from each other's plates.6/13/2013 12:00:00 AMlovely brunchMy wife and I have heard really good things about Sarabeths so we decided to try it ourselves for brunch. It did not disappoint. Had a very hearty meal and the prices were reasonable. Ended up making reservations about a week in advance, because when we tried to make them on Friday they were already booked for the coming weekend. It wasn't super busy when we came the next weekend, so not sure if that is typical or not. My only complaint really was that the coffee (which they seem to be rather proud of) was pretty weak. Am willing to give them the benefit of the doubt on that, since the food was so tasty.6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMBrunch with friendsOut of town friends staying on the UES wanted to meet for brunch on a Sunday. We chose Sarabeth's. It was close and we had read good things about it. It lived up to its reputation. Sarabeth's East has a somewhat unique menu with nice fresh ingredients. We were in the upper loft area and it seemed quieter than the downstairs area. We had a lovely brunch with good food & a noise level that did not rule out having a conversation in a normal voice. I can recommend this restaurant for those looking for a similar experience.6/2/2013 12:00:00 AMVery enjoyableHaving been many times for breakfast and brunch, this was the first time for Dinner. It was delicious. Had their lobster and it was prepared very well (steamed). This location is a neighborhood gem, of course for brunch, but also for dinner!5/26/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful Pumpkin WafflesWhile visiting NYC, my mother and I decided to try Sarabeth's brunch based on several recommendations. I was so glad I'd made reservations with Open Table b/c the restaurant was packed at 8:30 Sunday morning. Absolutely fantastic food and friendly service! We never felt rushed even though it was crowded! I loved my pumpkin waffles and Mother's omelet was amazingly fluffy. What a great dining experience!5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMFood was very good, and weFood was very good, and we had a lovely waitress (unfortunately, I didn't get her name.) It got a little noisy when the crowd came in, and the service was a tad slow----had to fine the server to get the check.
Overall, very nice--especially in a neighborhood where there is a dearth of good eating!4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMStands the Test of TimeThis is my favorite Sarabeth's and it is the original one. I have loved it for years, like most people, for those spectacular omelets and four flower juice. But now we love it for dinner as well. A warm and cozy restaurant with absolutely delicious food. A varied menu, excellent wait staff and wonderful management. In the evening it feels more adult--brunch is packed with families--and I appreciate the relative quiet (nearly impossibly in New York) and fine food. The seafood Cobb Salad is a favorite, but the vegetable burger is not to be missed. We will return frequently.4/10/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat pre-theatre dining for 92StYA great place for dinner before a show at the 92nd Street Y. Always good service and good food in a very attractive dining area with high ceilings and very tasteful decor. The fresh breads served as you first sit down are a treat, as well as the delicious, freshly made pastries for desert. Entres are prepared exactly as requested, presented with a flare, and always include two specials as well as a fixed price that includes appetizer, entre and desert for those able to handle the very ample portions.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMGREAT FOOD AND AMBIANCE. WENTGREAT FOOD AND AMBIANCE. WENT FOR DINNER WITH MY ENTIRE FAMILY... CHICKEN POT PIE THE BEST.
YOU MUST TRY THE DESSERTS..4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMYUMMY!!We went to Sarabeth's on the Upper East Side for Easter Dinner. It was delicious. The sweet potato puree was the best! The restaurant was clean, our service was wonderful, and the food great. When we visit our daughter, we will definitely go back to Sarabeth's!!! We highly recommend it.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food is always wonderfulThe food is always wonderful at Sarabeth's. I went with a friend for breakfast and we shared the Goldie Lox and lemon ricotta pancakes. It's been a while since I cleaned my plate, but I had no trouble doing so that morning. The server was pleasant and attentive without being obtrusive and was patient with us when we needed a minute to narrow our decisions. Overall, it was a lovely morning. I noticed a fairly long line to be seated already at 9 AM. I definitely recommend making a reservation if you're planning to eat here.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMOpen table did not completeOpen table did not complete the reservations so we were squeezed in thankfully3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMNever disappoints! We were very happy with our meal at Sarabeth's. I have visited NYC five times, and have made a trip to Sarabeth's each time, and have never been disappointed. This was my first time eating there with my three children, and although it's not a restaurant that is specifically aimed at kids (for example, they do not have a separate kids' menu) they were certainly welcoming to the kids, and our server was very attentive and kind to them; we were never made to feel like we should not have brought the kids to the restaurant. Also, many of the appetizers were appropriate for the children to eat as meals. I will definitely go back for a 6th time the next time I am in NYC--the restaurant is quaint, the food is good, and it's reasonably priced.3/12/2013 12:00:00 AM
