My parents and I had a good time at Sarabeth's. First of all, I was running late due to traffic so I called to let them know that I would not be there at the precise time of my reservation. The receptionist was understanding and told us there would be no problem. Sure enough, when we got there, three smiling faces greeted us and we were seated immediately. Our waiter (so sorry I didn't get his name) was extremely pleasant and accommodating, indulging my dad with his all time favorite breakfast. My mom and I shared the spinach and goat cheese omelet and the fat and fluffy French toast, both of which were absolutely delicious. The staff was very attentive and responsive in a timely manner; I truly felt that they went out of their way to ensure we had a pleasant experience. Even as we were leaving, one of the front of the house staff took time to ask how everything went, and to wish us a nice day. I have been coming to Sarabeth's and they never fail to deliver, so I'll keep showing up! Keep up the excellent work!

Our waiter was really friendly. Don't forget to reserve a table as it can be really busy. The food was good. The weather outside was really bad (cold and rain) but unfortunately the temperature inside was quite cold with even a chilly airco blowing through the room. They did not seem to notice people sitting with still their coats on.

Sarabeth's is known for their brunch but our dinner was excellent. The grilled pear salad, Mac and cheese, ahi tuna, three cheese sliders and the ice cream sandwich dessert were all great! I would definitely recommend this place and really want to come back and try their brunch.

We tried Sarabeth's for breakfast on a Monday...and it was packed! Even with a reservation we had to wait 20 minutes to get to our table. The delicious food came quickly after ordering, even though the place was packed. The servers were racing back and forth...maybe understaffed? I had to get up to ask for our side of bacon, and it wasn't because our server wasn't hustling...we just couldn't catch his eye and he was swamped with other tables. The hostesses didn't look the most professional...but overall, definitely worth the wait! Great breakfast!

The location was perfect for our itinerary on this day and the food gave us the energy we needed. The Classic Eggs Benedict was perfectly prepared and my girlfriend's Kale and Eggs did not disappoint either. She was hoping for scrambled eggs with her meal and when they came out over easy, she asked the waiter to have them scrambled. No more than 30 seconds later the dish came out as she imagined and she was in heaven! Perfect kale(which can be hard to come by) amongst the eggs, almonds, and vegetables. The protein packed meal and excellent service made this dining experience awesome.

We have been here for breakfast/brunch several times and the food is consistently excellent. Everything is delicious and well presented. It's a little noisy and the waiting area is too small for the amount of people who are always waiting to be seated, but that can be overlooked because the food is so good.

We came to Sarabeth's for our post-NYC marathon brunch and we had a great experience! The restaurant was packed, but we still had exceptional service. The crab cake benedict was recommended by our server and it lived up to the hype. We also ordered scones and Bloody Mary's which were a perfect way to start our recovery ;-) thank you Sarabeth's!

I was in town for a week for work and my mom and grandmother visited me for an overnight on Saturday. I was looking for a fun place to take them and settled on Sarahbeth's Central Park. The evening was great and the server even answered my grandmothers (MANY) menu questions with great poise. My grandmother's lamb shank was to die for and my mom's and my filet were amazing. I rarely eat steak but it was a splurge and I was definitely not disappointed. Definitely would come back (which is saying a lot with all the options in the city) and would love to try for brunch!

Being my second time in new york I wanted to experience fine dining in the city and wow this place was amazing. I have never had such a good brunch in my life. The scrambled eggs with scallions and cottage cheese was delicious. The pancakes were even better. And the tea and coffee was divine. The ambiance is splendid, everyone was really nice and professional. Plus it's right across from central park, so a post-brunch stroll was just perfect.

  • Surprise ruined

I booked Sarabeths for a 40th birthday surprise for my husband. I had flown his parents out from the UK to meet us there. I booked through Open Table & stated that 2 of us would arrive before the other 2. We turned up at the time of our reservation, were told to take seat, 20 mins later we're still waiting. I asked why and they said they dont seat incomplete parties. There was no mention of this when I booked or checked in, we were just left to wait. It was then, in the extremely noisy and crowded waiting area, whilst im with the waitress trying to persuade her not to ruin this expensive surprise, that my in laws arrived & I missed the whole thing. Food was ok, service was average. Overall, poor service ruined months of planning. Thanks.

The food at Sarabeth's is very good, and the service is excellent, but 1- Not worth the wait 2- Not worth the noise 3- Not worth the crowd The place was 3 deep in tourists and jam-packed, even though we had a reservation, we had to wait. Our waitress was attentive and excellent, even though she had trouble squeezing thru to get to our table near the window. Although we could hear the conversations going on at all the tables around us, we couldn't hear each other speak. This was lunch hour during the week. I would hate to see it on the weekends!

These places (its a chain) are always packed and energetic and loud; the prices are reasonable for NYC and the food is basic American and surprisingly good. It has both a brunch and a lunch menu at lunch. Its breakfast items are very good American basics like egg dishes and french toast; sandwiches and salads are great. Very good for kids and groups.

The bar service was very poor and so was the service. However our server was very pleasant and friendly we had to keep repeating our drink order. It was very cold and we set at a table that was just too small for our group. We were taken to our table and was just left there to try and figure out how we were all going to fit. Had to ask for help. They had to lower one end of the table so we could manage to get into the booth. I guess the expected us to figure that out. It was so cold where we were sitting that we had to move to another section. However, we were first told there were no other tables available and about 1/2 an hour later one became available. It was a very trying experience to say the least.
