  • "It was my daughter's 18th birthday and we spent the morning walking the park. We had a late lunch and it was FABULOUS! Loved the view, food and service. It is something we will never forget. She has decided to attend NYU next year, so we will be coming back!!!"

  • "The restaurant was all right. The location was nice near Central Park and The Plaza Hotel. My 18 year old daughter picked this restaurant based on the reviews. She said her meal was very good, flat iron steak, I had the lobster roll, it was very good, did not like the homemade potato chips. I would go back and try another item. Very easy to get to."

  • "The finest pancakes i''ve ever eaten. Eggs benedict, wonderfull. Professionnal staff"

  • "Sums up the Sarabeths experience. The service was slow, until they hovered after our breakfast in an obvious effort to make us leave. The muffins arrived cold, which seems intentional, but who wants their breakfast breads cold? Isn't warm better, so the butter can melt? It is insanely crowded and noisy and seems a little like Denny's. Great location."

  • "We made reservations here after not being able to reserve a table at another restaurant for brunch. I am so glad we were unable to reserve the other place, because this was well worth it. It is a little pricey, but this is New York so it was expected. The service was prompt and our food was delicious."

  • "Was looking for a place to have dinner before a show at City Center. Decided to try Sarabeth's and had a very nice meal-as an added bonus, Lady Gaga exited the hotel next door and so I had a chance to get a good look without being jostled by fans on the street. One of those things that can happen in NYC if you're in the right place at the right time."

  • "A New York restaurant without the attitude. Nicest waitress I've had in NY. And the food is excellent."
    Dined on 4/5/2014
  • "Nothing to complain about at all. All the food and drinks arrived exactly as described in the menu and were perfect. The staff were all personable and attentive. The location right by Central Park was perfect for a central meeting place before we all went off to do our things for the day."

  • "meh...not really a night place. totally known for brunch. skip it for the nights and go somewhere else. cheers"

  • "Very good breakfast place. Great location on Central Park South. Goldie Lox was good. Omelet was ok. Didn't like being seated in the hall between the two main rooms."

  • "I have had brunch in three if Sarabeth's locations, the quality of food and consistency of the dishes is very good. Highly recommended for Brunch."

  • "Pancakes mediocre almost inedible . Macchiato good . Hate when the bathrooms need a paint job and are so icky dirty you don't want to touch anything . This place looks so tired ."

  • "I have had brunch at Sarabeths a number of times. Food was good, but service was poor."
    Dined on 4/1/2014
  • "My husband and I went here once by ourselves and then with one of our friends who was here on a work trip. We had a great time both times. The food was great and so were the mimosas. We'll definitely be back. As they are usually super crowded it'b best to make a reservation if you're tight on time."

  • "Sunday brunch at Sarabeth's was lovely. Service was prompt and friendly, and food terrific. Wish we had longer to linger over it. I would definitely return."

  • "You can't get the consistency of very good food and good service at this price in NYC. This was our second dinner here and we weren't disappointed. This time I took my boss, the CEO of a start-up. He is always conscious of what we spend. He was thrilled with Sarabeth's. We will be back."

  • "We enjoyed our dinner but mostly the delicious desserts. Tomato soup good on a cool night but not much in the bowl. Monkfish great."

  • "Sarabeth's on Central Park is an excellent place to start your visit. For those that haven't been to Manhattan it's like being at Main Street and Main Street. And, the food is excellent."
    Dined on 3/25/2014
  • "The area of the restaurant we were seated was so cold we needed to wear our jackets. We were sharing the evening with friends, when we asked for separate checks a really big deal was made of it. It is worth mentioning we asked prior to ordering. Overall, the food was decent and we weren't hurried through our meal. This was our second trip to Sarabeth's. Our first experience was at the Upper West Side location. We found that restaurant to be 'warmer'- in temperature and service."
    Dined on 3/24/2014
  • "We went to this restaurant at 8:00 am. When I arrived, it was not so crowded. But there were so many people waiting this restaurant after we finished breakfast. We should make a reservation if we go this restaurant after 9:00 am."

  • "This restaurant was great for an early morning breakfast for a group of five women. The food was good for brunch especially the five flower mimosas! My only negative was feeling a bit rushed throughout brunch and then out the door. It's understandable since we were there on a Sunday but still a bit short when you are gabbing with girlfriends. Overall, good experience and I think it would be beautiful to sit outside during the warmer months with a view of Central Park!"

  • "I love SaraBeth's but it is hard to eat a full meail on one of the tiny bar area 'appetizer' sized tables. I also think the Breakfast items are the best. The salads are so fresh."

  • "I went to New York for the weekend and had breakfast here. It was the best breakfast I have had ever. We sat by the window overlooking Central Park. Great place to eat overall"

  • "Came here for a weekday brunch. Food was pretty good, scene was bustling and vibrant service was good and my coffee was kept full"
    Dined on 3/21/2014
  • "The food I ordered was not perfectly cooked (seafood lemon pasta. It was too much sauce, way too much for that portion, and the shrimps were too hard too chew. Maybe overboiled, cause as I know if you overboiled the shrimps they turn out to be hard."

  • "This review covers 2 meals: dinner & breakfast. Service by the dinner waitress was outstanding and by the breakfast waiter was very good. The New Zealand wine at dinner, the soup & calamari appetizers at dinner, and the duck at dinner were very good. The scallops at dinner were just OK - not great, & the mashed potatoes they served with it did not work - a very poor choice. Disappointing. Breakfast: the poached eggs & the spinach & goat cheese omelet were good. There should have been a lot more spinach in the omelet. Major complaints: both plates containing warm items were "ice cold" as though they had just come out of the freezer. Rated poor - they should have been warmed up. The croissant was served cold and should have been warmed up."

  • "My daughter and her daughter and I made the trip to NYC and Sarabeth'S was one of the highlights. We had reservations so we were seated promptly, had great servers and enjoyed our delicious brunch. We highly recommend this lovely restaurant!"

  • "Sarabeths is always great. We enjoyed pumpkin waffles, eggs Benedict and Popeyes eggs (scrambled eggs with spinach on a English muffin)."

  • "Sarabeth's was right next to our hotel across from Central Park. Our expectations were high based on other reviews posted but we were sadly disappointed. The food was acceptable but nothing noteworthy and our server was great, but the hostess and manager soured this entire experience for us. We made our reservation on Open Table approximately 30 minutes before we dined only because we found an available time and it was so close by. The manager and hostess both sighed and rolled their eyes at each other when we said "We made our reservations on Open Table". Our server tried his best to make up for the rude and awkward beginning (and of course we tipped him appropriately) but I decided to post my first ever review to warn others."

  • "We came here for afternoon tea in order to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and the touristy travel plans of our friends. We came a very long way to New York and we had one date afternoon to ourselves. I chose this restaurant because of its high internet reviews and because of its intimate ambiance, which turned out to be the perfect setting for our getaway. The afternoon tea was spectacular and delicious while the service was fantastic and the atmosphere remained calming and romantic."

  • "This was my first time dining at Sarabeth's Central Park location. I usually go to the one on the UWS. Very quanit, food was excellent, I recommend the four flowers juice and the Lemon ricotta pancakes, they're very filling!! I definitely would return to this location again."

  • "Sarabeth's Central Park South is a great spot for brunch right across from central park. In the nicer weather there are tables in front of the restaurant over looking the park. We have eaten here several times and the food at brunch is consistent and excellent. The reason for 4 stars for service is it has always seems rushed. The waiters are very efficient and prompt and the food is served quickly. However, the waiters lack friendliness and seem to be anxious to serve you and move you out so the next people can come in. Overall, I would definitely recommend a visit to Sarabeth's for brunch."
