We were a group of 6 for brunch on a Sunday. The place was packed so service was a little slower than what I would have liked. I had the eggs with kale and a pumpkin muffin along with some coffee. Everything was delicious down the the jams. My boyfriend enjoyed the oatmeal with fruit and a side of sausage with apricot jam and orange juice. The pricing is typical "NYC brunch" prices but I think the quality was good. I would return when I'm back in town.

It has a nice location across the street from Central Park. We sat outside on a lovely morning. Very nice. Our waitress had an "attitude" which ruined my experience there. She was the only server we had in four days in NYC that was unpleasant. My short rib hash was tasty.

I've been to Sarabeths' several times. This is the first time the service has been poor. That's not acceptable for this level of restaurant and quite unusual for Sarabeth's.

I love Sarabeth's and had my heart set on a turkey burger. Imagine my disappointment when I was told they were out of them. To say the least, this was distressing-we had a 1pm luncheon reservation. Not good for a restaurant that prides itself on this particular dish. At least my guests got what they wanted, even if I had to find a substitute. My guests enjoyed the meal and the service. Hopefully the next time I go, I won't be disappointed again.

This was a fabulous place to go for a quite and wonderful dinner. As a recommendation we went here and the Tomato soup was very creamy with a nice palette. As for entrees the Pot Pie was not a disappointment and the Grilled Tuna was perfect . I would highly recommend visiting this gem.

Went for an early dinner with a friend visiting the City from out of town who was staying in the neighborhood. Our waiter was matter-of-fact when he informed us that he forgot to put in our appetizer when we asked where it was when the main courses were served. He offered a complimentary cup of tea or coffee to make up for it. We also had to ask for bread for the table two times, chase his attention for the check and refills of water. Cocktails, main courses and desserts were mediocre. I have thoroughly enjoyed the Tribeca and Flatiron Sarabeth's food and service. A view of the park can't make up for this restaurant's shortcomings. Head a little bit downtown to the Flatiron district for the true Sarabeth's experience.

My friend & I have been looking for a restaurant near the 59E59 St Theatre that had a varied, well priced menu. Another friend had recommended Sarabeth's. We dined there last night & were more than pleasantly surprised. I had the lobster pasta that contained a lot of lobster & was delicious. My friend had the seafood Cobb salad, looked wonderful & she said it was great. This will be our new spot before the theatre.

My husband and I visited Sarabeth's for breakfast on Monday morning. We made advance reservations and had a small wait. I thought the decor was really nice and the tables weren't on top of one another. The food was very good. Only complaint is the muffins were a bit dry. Also our server did not refill our drinks until requested. Still the experience was wonderful.

We were looking forward to our breakfast at Sarabeth's, which I had booked months ago. When we arrived they had not opened yet so we sat in the foyer with a few other people. At 8am we were taken to our table. It was a table on the far wall, in the middle. I politely asked the waitress if we could please sit at the table near the window. She said 'Ah, that is reserved'. I thought ok. Five minutes later an older couple were being seated. At first the waitress took them to a table in the corner, until the lady asked if they could sit near the window (the table I had requested). They were promptly given that table. Obviously they had not reserved it. We were shocked! Food was good but we just felt very insulted, which kind of ruined the meal.

Food was wonderful. Our party of 5 was seated in a small niche between dining rooms so the noise level was acceptable for conversation. The service was a bit slow and the waiter forgot that we had requested 3 separate checks (but he remedied that, after we asked again). The seafood Cobb salad was fresh, entrée-sized and delicious. The steak prix fixe dinner was cooked exactly to specifications and was a good value. We all enjoyed the meal.

Am in town for the US Open for the Labor Day holiday. Locals are all gone and still the tourists remain. Restaurant is right on Central Park South and has a nice view. Short walk from out hotel (JW Marriott Essex House). Zagat rated. Limited outdoor seating and decided to stay indoors even though lovely evening. We had the pan seared chicken, trio of burgers and fries. Bread basket was ample and complimentary. Excellent quality and portions were good and plentiful that it didn't leave us wanting for more. Wine list is extensive and reasonably priced for Manhattan. Only disappointment was the server who appeared to be going through the motions and would have rather been at the beach with his friends! Overall worth a return visit!

We went on a Friday around 1:30 in the afternoon. Although we had a reservation, we waited about 10 minutes for a table. The service was nice, attentive, and fast, without feeling pressured. Some of our party really enjoyed their food (grilled cheese and tomato soup was delicious and very fresh tasting), but the recommended French Toast tasted too "eggy" for me. Juice was delicious but ridiculously expensive. Menu had several good b'fast & lunch choices. We were 4 people at a round table in the back and could barely hear each other talk. The maitre d' took off the charge for the pastry basket because of the mix up with our reservation and confusion about parking (which is discounted at a nearby garage with restaurant validation).

I had dinner with my daughter at Sarabeth's. We shared the kale caesar salad, I had the seafood couscous and she had the scallops. The food was good, service was wonderful. It was too hot to sit outside, but we still enjoyed a great view of the carriages strolling around Central Park. I really enjoyed this place and would definitely go back.

This is a quiet, neighborhood restaurant serving unpretentious food and drink. It's a real relief in an area filled with crowded, over-priced high-energy, noisy, touristy restaurants. Sarabeth's is not a singles scene or nightlife place. It offers good food, prompt pleasant service. While on a four day visit to NYC we actually dined at Sarabeth's twice, the second time because we were so pleased with the first. On our second visit, when my wife's salad wasn't quite what she expected, the staff cheerfully made it to her liking. They definitely strive to make the customer happy. Don't miss the salted caramel ice cream which they make themselves.

Sarabeth's is a tradition with my girls and me before a day of back-to-school shopping providing good food and quiet ambiance. Not so anymore. The place was so loud we couldn't hear ourselves talk. The food was mediocre and the staff exceptionally rude and uncaring. We had reservations but still waited. So no more Sarabeths and on to greener, quieter pastures.

For this recent trip to Sarabeth's, I surprised my mom for a special mother-daughter lunch. For a Friday afternoon it seemed to be very busy but with a reservation booked at the beginning of the week, we were seated right away. Breakfast items were being served until 3pm so of course we had to take advantage of that. I ordered the spinach and goat cheese omelet with a pumpkin muffin on the side and my mom ordered the lemon ricotta pancakes. Everything was delicious! Sarabeth's should be a must on everyone's list. I highly recommend making reservations ahead of time because the wait could be very long, especially on the weekends. But the food is always amazing!

This restaurant is a great place with plenty going on, the food and service were very good although it was a little noisy and chaotic for us. From the moment we entered we were crammed into the foyer and just stood around waiting for a table. I know space is a premium in NYC but we are not used to this bring from the uk. Overall a good experience to say we have been but and although you must go, wouldn't go again!!!

I've eaten at this Sarabeth's before for lunch and had a great experience, so we decided to try it out again, but this time for an early weekday breakfast for a party of six. I'm delighted to report that the experience was just as good. The food here is always prepared extremely well, the service attentive and cordial, and the ambience pleasant but not too upscale. Overall, I highly recommend this place for any meal as I've now had two in a row that were equally superb.
