Many menu choices, and all dishes were generous and tasty. (I would skip the lamb naan next time (would get meatless), and we didn't need the dipping sauce recommended by the waiter.)
Chicken tikka masala was very good, and spinach dish was also yummy. No rice included, but you have to order it!4/25/2013 12:00:00 AMLong time upper west sider,Long time upper west sider, 1st. time dining at Sapphire. The waiter was very helpful in

We enjoy spices but the selction may not be good for customers who are picky and don't enjoy or tolerate spicy food. Mostly vegetable based dishes which we like.
Although the outside of the restaurant wasn't that appealing the inside was attractive. Tableclothes and comfortable seating. Open and tables not too close. I didn't llike the paper table cover over the cloth.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMVery nice spot for a mealVery nice spot for a meal before Lincoln Center. Nice selection.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMBig brunch buffer would suitBig brunch buffer would suit many at this gourment Indian place opposite Time Warner, but we found the a la carte specialties, particularly the baby eggplant, to be just fine for a wonderful mid day meal. A bit pricey but elegance and good service are a cut above.4/10/2013 12:00:00 AMTerrific, inventive IndianTerrific, inventive Indian food, many surprising, delightful choices. Great service.3/19/2013 12:00:00 AMBefore the ballet, we sharedBefore the ballet, we shared two dishes: the lamb saag (a long-time favorite of mine) and the chicken vindaloo. The vindaloo was a new experience for me--plenty spicy, but quite tolerable. Together the two dishes complemented each other tremendously. This is a nice, highly reliable, courteous and speedy restaurant. Good alternative near Lincoln Center. Very well-priced, if you're looking for a not-too-expensive dinner before the performance.1/23/2013 12:00:00 AMVery good Indian restaurantVery good Indian restaurant near Lincoln Center. Service is dependable, rapid and polite--not especially warm, but the front of the house is quite kind. The food is excellent--for example, I had the tropical salad and the saffron shrimp; both were delicious. Often busy, once in a while, it's really quite peaceful inside--something you don't experience often so close to the action.1/16/2013 12:00:00 AM
