Sapphire GrillOutstandingWas in town for a conference and it also happened to be my anniversary. Some friends recommended Sapphire Grill and what a great recommendation. They have some great and unique mixed drink options, bartender did a great job. Our server was extremely knowledgeable, he gave us great suggestions, food was absolutely fantastic (highly recommend the Chefs Selection - 6 courses of the best food on the menu), timing of the food was perfect. While chatting with our server we laughed about ordering wine labeled "Educated Guess" in honor of our son. When we declined dessert because we were full, she surprised us with two chocolate dipped strawberries on a plate with "Congratulations" scripted in chocolate. Never went before and found it in Open Table. It was terrific! Exceeded our expectations We arrived at 5:30 just when it opened so it was just the two of us for a while. Seems it gets very busy around 8ish. Crab cakes for the appitiser was fantastic. I had the NY strip stake which on of the best I ever had. I loved the way they dealt with the bread. No butter but they grind some parmasian cheese in olive oil -- nice touch! Our dinner was so good that time, we knew we had to go back. We had the Chef's Tasting Dinner. It was extraordinary. One course paired a roasted shallot gelato with a seared foie gras. Not anything I would think of, but it was "killer good". Every course was spot on. Not a miss. The service was very attentive. It has a nice quiet ambiance in a private dining room setting, which is perfect for conversation and a slow pace for enjoying dinner.
We had my brother's and mine birthday celebration here last year, and we just celebrated my uncle's birthday here last night. The food was outstanding; in fact, I consider the black grouper to have been the best fish I have ever eaten (and I come from a seafood background).
