Sapori is one of our favorites and always have a great meal. We've taken lots of friends, as well as family. Particularly like Tuesday evening small plates, so we can have more than one thing. And the veal meatballs are to die for.

We got there and had to wait a little even with the reservation, but they were extremely busy so it was understandable. Plus the host staff was friendly and attentive while we waited so it wasn't a big deal. We got seated and started with our meal relatively fast. We had three dishes and they were all good. With the small exception that that our server wasn't incredibly knowledgeable about the wine list, everything was really nice.

I enjoyed my time at Sapori but in the end, I did not find it to be anything special. It's good but not great. Sea bass was a bit bland. Wines were decent. I'd go back if someone suggested they wanted to go but I would not hurry back on my own. I did like the live music. Added a nice touch. And the service was fine. Nothing at all wrong, just nothing stood out.

Amazing. I am a total foodie...and Italian is my fave. I was in Chicago on business, and so I yelped Italian food, and this is what I found. And, oh, my Yelpers, you have not let me down.
First, the bread. I think that the bread basket can set the tone for the meal, and we started off nicely. Homemade breads with some really nice olive oil.
I started with the avocado appetizers, which I think were a special. Oh. Wow. I don't think I have ever eaten anything that amazing in my life. The dish consisted of fresh avocado, tomato, mozzarella, basil, and some other stuff on top of a baguette. Seriously, I considered cancelling my pasta and ordering more of the avocado dish.
However, I exercised some self-restraint, and held out

The food and ambiance, as usual, was terrific. We have eaten at Sapori several times and love it. Surprisingly, the service this last time bordered on negligence. The waiter was only interested in serving the larger tables around us. We didn't even get menus until after he took care of the drink orders of a table of 4 who came in after us. Thank goodness the bus boys brought our food and drinks; otherwise, we'd still be waiting. We will try going there one more time, but if the service is bad again, we'll just find another Italian restaurant.

Excellent from start to finish. Went there due to a promotion I had purchased but will definitely return and pay full price. Food was excellent and portions were large. We were three people and shared 2 main dishes.. Service was very good as well. Small cozy restaurant. We sat in the front room but noticed that there are two small rooms at the rear as well. We ate there early on a Sunday might but the place got more and more filled as we dined. I wondered why i had never heard of the place before...like i was missing out on a good thing! Oh, and have the panna cotta for dessert... You won't be sorry.

Just a fantastic experience all around. We walked in a couple minutes before our 8pm reservation, and the place was packed with lots of happy-looking customers (always a good sign). Because we had to wait about 15 minutes for our table to be ready, the GM (I think), Ricardo, bought us a round of drinks, which was a very classy and appreciated gesture. Our server was courteous and offered great suggestions. Food took awhile to prepare, so this isn't a place to go if you're starving right off the bat, but was SO worth the wait. HUGE portions, just oozing with flavor. Italian food can be very bland & blah. This is NOT one of those places. Authentic, full-bodied food and wine. I highly recommend for a date night, or girl's night out. Fabulous!
