Diner Reviews
  • "We had a wonderful meal here. All other reviews were right on. We had dinner at bar and bartender was very attentive. Red sangria was delicious, it wasn't to sweet and was very fresh"

  • "I love the small plates. The food was fantastic, full of flavor, excellent appearance and very tasty! It was a lovely meal and totally beat the usual "American" cuisine down in Key West. Highly recommended."

  • "Had great evening with sisters. Small plates were perfect. We all ordered and shared what we liked. Sangria was terrific too! No time pressure. Enjoyed by all of us. It is actually our 4th time there and since we come from different parts of the country it is a favorite must visit place for us in Key West."

  • "Santiago's was delicious! My husband and I love tapas so we had to try it while we were in Key West! Everything we had was amazing! Our favorites were the Avacado and pear salad, saganaki cheese with pita, lamp chops, green beans, croquettes, chocolate cake and custard! Thank you for a great dining experience! We will be back!"

  • "My wife and I went to Santiago's this past weekend. The food was the usual excellent but the ambience was a little shaky as there was a loud table close by!"

  • "This was recommended to us by a friend. We ate their twice."
    Dined on 6/18/2014
  • "Santiago's bodega was the best dinning experience of the trip, so good we had to go twice In 4 days! Food was amazing. If you haven't had the beef tenderloin you haven't tasted heaven. Our server Allen provided excellent service, very friendly and attentive. Will definitely be going back next trip south."

  • "Must remember where we are. The Keys are not a big city, big culinary destination. Food was good, portions large for a tapas restaurant. The ingredients used were basic and not very complex. Some of the ingredients were overwhelming, ie balsamic vinegar in Brussels sprouts, tons of olives on the bruschetta. Overall good, but nothing spectacular. Service though was poor. Our waiter neglected to mention any of the specials or change out our dirty plates, while doing so for the table next to us. Otherwise, all the servers were attentive."
    Dined on 6/22/2014
  • "Everything was amazing! Beef Tenderloin a must! Scallops special was amazing. Beef skewers & mini empanadas! Try & make happy hr! $5 options!"
    Dined on 6/21/2014
  • "The food was absolutely delicious! We shared 7 or 8 plates. All were balanced flavor-wise and beautifully presented. Our server, however, showed no interest in truly serving us - no explanation of the menu, mis-heard us several times, and all-around disinterested. He made the whole experience uncomfortable and unenjoyable."

  • "Fabulous find. . Great food.... we had 3 in our group. .2 guys and a gal. Shared 1/2 dozen tapas and were full. Probably had 1 plate too many but we were not uncomfortable. Wine list adequate. Sangria was refreshing. Loved it all."

  • "Group of 5: we ordered 10tapas and 9 were outstanding. The only one that was not exceptional was the phylo stuffed with spinach, the dough to stuffing ratio was off which made it bland. We also ordered two desserts, bread pudding and flour less chocolate cake. Both very good-I could have licked the plate of the chocolate cake!"

  • "I selected this restaurant based on a recommendation from a coworker. I found the food to be extremely pleasing and unique to the typical restaurants in the area. I especially enjoyed the tuna ceviche and the bacon wrapped mushrooms. Lamb was also very good."

  • "We went with high expectations. We were not disappointed. Every dish was superb and I'm only sorry that there were only two of us and that we weren't able to sample more of the dishes. The service was excellent, friendly and welcoming. We are planning to go back on our next trip to Key West."

  • "Santiago never disappoints. We always take friends to this restaurant and friends leave admitting this is the best restaurant they have every experienced anywhere. Every single tappa is wonderful and excites all the taste buds. We will continue to visit this restaurant on a regular basis with friends and family."

  • "I am not kidding when I say this place surprised the heck out of me. THe service was outstanding as was the food. Thank goodness for Open Table, because without it I would ahve waited in that line. I HIGHLY recommend this for a couple. Absolutely delicious plates and fast friendly waiters. I honestly was blown away at this little place. In key west, I didnt have high expectaions, having lived in Vegas the past 8 years and having an italian gf for years I learned what fine dining was really all about. But this place really is a gem."

  • "We only made our reservation for 4 but needed 6 and they beautifully accommodated us even though the restaurant was completely booked out for the night! The menu had too many super tasty choices (classic dishes uniquely prepared) for our starving minds to fully weigh and consider. We ordered our go-to favorites: spinach salad, beef carpaccio, prosciutto wrapped dates, lamb rack. I don't know if being so darn hungry had something to do with it, but I swear each dish was the best version I've ever had (except the beef carpaccio- it was delicious but could've used a drizzle of oil maybe, it was a little bit dry). Tried our friends potatoes bravos, amazing! Waiter heard us wondering about another dish and brought out a free sample too! Yes! "

  • "We sat outdoors on a beautiful evening. I got the sense that we would have been less comfortable indoors as this place is very small and the temperature of the dining room felt quite warm with we checked in. This said, everything else about Santiago's was excellent. The only reason I am hesitant to highly recommend this place if for fear it will be more difficult to get a table the next time we want to go!"

  • "Great place for tapas & wine. We decided to go the sangria route but their wine list is fairly extensive. Everything we got was yummy. The bread pudding was too die for & high recommended."

  • "We went here for our 5th anniversary and were not disappointed. Everything we had was delicious, and because we got there before 6, we were able to order 4 items to try for only 20 dollars. We will definitely be back "

  • "This is a tapas style restaurant so we ordered wine and five small plates. We started with the bruschetta. Nice crispy crostini with an olive tapenade and smothered in the usual fresh tomatoes, garlic, onion and basil mix. Perfectly executed. We followed up with the prosciutto wrapped dates stuffed with goat cheese. Delicious. We then had the buratta cheese with tomatoes and a walnut pesto paired with house made fry bread. This was our favorite of all the dishes. We finished with the tenderloin with blue cheese and a Korean style short rib. Both beef dishes were well prepared. We skipped desert, but the bread pudding - made with croissants - looked amazing. Dinner for two plus wine ($75) plus tip (20%) ran $160. Worth every penny."

  • "We stay in the keys every year. We come down to key west especially to eat Santiago's. Great wine list and a varied Taoas menu. Signature items are fabulous. I would reccomend this as a must while in Key West. "

  • "No trip to Key West should would be complete without a visit to Santiago's Bodega. The atmosphere is inviting, the staff gracious and accommodating and the food is amazing. The standout for this visit was the braised short rib which was outstanding. And as always a pitcher of the best sangria in KW topped everything off."

  • "I adore Santiago's Bodega, but I wish our wonderful Key West visitor's wouldn't make their reservation's so far in advance, so that I can't get a seat, at my local favorite! The secret's out!"

  • "The happy hour tapas were a deal and delicious, as were the other tapas we ordered. Service and ambiance are top rate. "

  • "Great place for a small group. We had 6 people and had a great time sharing all of the tapas. They were very attentive to delivering the tapas only after we had completed our first item."
    Dined on 5/23/2014
  • "This was an AWESOME place!!! Fantastic food! Ivan the waiter was incredible and the atmosphere was super! My only complaint was the table next to us was so close and they were particularly loud on top of that but otherwise the restaurant itself is a 5 star for sure!!!!"
    Dined on 5/23/2014
  • "Just when you start wondering if you are on the right street and block, you find this place buzzing with activity. It is so far (in Key West terms) from the beaten path, that only those who know good food will bother to reach. The choice of dishes is abundant, and the small portions formula helps try a variety of things. Every tapas we tried was outstanding. The wine list is nice, but we opted for white and red sangria, and liked both of them. Topped with the interesting croissant-based bread pudding and excellent espresso, it was an outstanding dinner"

  • "We are visiting from NC and found this restaurant on open table. It was so perfect, far enough away from the tourist mayhem but walkable. Food was spectacular! We loved the lamb, brussel sprouts, spicy shrimp bisque, and the chianti Classico. We will definitely recommend to our friends who visit and will be back on our next trip. Thanks for a great dining experience!"
