Santé Restaurant is the Inn's premier dining room and has earned a national reputation for its outstanding food. Recipient of a prestigious Michelin Star as well as the AAA Four Diamond Award, Santé is the only restaurant in the Sonoma Valley to receive these accolades. Only the freshest local produce, meats, poultry and seafood are used to create elegantly simple dishes that let the natural flavors of the food speak for themselves.

  • "Service was impeccable,multiple staffers managed to provide excellent service without being obtrusive or pushy.Food was perfect.Salmon amuse was excellent and quite a large portion compared to other restaurants we have been.We felt privileged to be able to order the awesome fennel salad off of the tasting menu.The risotto opener was also very good.The black cod was great as was the Niman steak three ways.The chocolate souffle was the best we have had.Well done."

  • "This is - by far - the best restaurant in the Napa Valley. Rarely do we find the presentation of the dishes, and the delivery thereof all of the same high caliber as the food, and everything about our meal was extraordinary. If I have to gripe about anything, it's going to be the decor. It's passable, at best, and the interiors really need a thorough make-over. The lighting was horrible - the back lit banquette is cheesy and distracting. The seating became a bit uncomfortable after an hour and a half, and the color scheme was nothing extraordinary - certainly not like the food. But, we'd go back."

  • "There was nothing bad about my dining experience. My boyfriend and I were staying at the fairmont and were iffy about eating at the restaurant in the hotel we were staying. Not only was the food we ordered delicious the chef also have us complimentary apps and dessert. He honored my request with a special dessert for our 4 year anniversary. The service as well as the ambience was spot on. Highly recommended."

  • "With so many great places to dine in Sonoma, Sante proved to be one of the top experiences. Not only great food and service (waitperson Anne was cheerful and wonderfully helpful) but just the little side amenities like the champagne, amuse bouche and palate cleanser and canneles to take home -- it all felt like a special hosting for the two of us. we enjoyed the risotto appetizer and i loved the squab, crusted and breast. I felt that the striped bass could've been more moist but it was tasty...as was my husband's pork dish. i wish we had room for dessert, but we will surely come back and save room for the chocolate souffle sometime soon."

  • "I went to Sante with 5 other friends and it was AMAZING! I had never had a better prepared and presented food in my life. We were all blown away not only by the food, but by the fantastic service by knowledgeable staff. One of the dishes included mus topped with caviar served in a perfectly cut eggshell, with just right temperature. Each dish was amazingly tasty and presented with such finesse that is hard to describe. The chef has previously worked at the French Laundry and even though I have never been at the French Laundry, I can tell you this was really a phenomenal experience. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes good quality food and would really like to get a sense of what Michelin start restaurant should taste like."

  • "We have dined at Sante many times and have never been disappointed. The staff and service is what you would expect from a top tier restaurant and the food is always perfect. We indulged in the tasting menu with wine pairing and found that the wine was perfectly matched to each course. I would say that they did not selected the most outrageously priced wines, but great local products that brought the food to the next level. As usual we had dishes that we had never experienced before and I must say that the Gnude was the greatest surprise. We will be back, we will always speak well of Sante and we look forward to returning sooner than later. Cheers"

  • "While the food was excellent the atmosphere was extremely stuffy. The staff was neither warm nor engaging and the sommelier did not smile once during his several visits to our table. I am a strong believer that a personable staff is an important part of an enjoyable meal. I would recommend the restaurant only for a clientele who enjoys a quiet, dark environment where the focus is on the food. My wife and I ate at the Bocce restaurant in Healdsburg on Saturday night and at the John Ash restaurant at Vintners Inn on Sunday evening. In addition to wonderful food, the staff at each restaurant was extremely warm and friendly."

  • "When we informed the wait person that we are vegan, we worried because there was nothing on the menu that fit. The woman who was waiting on us said that that is no problem, because he will devise a wonderful meal comprised of three different dishes, all served separately. It was one of the very best dinners we have ever had, and each dish was not only superb, but represented a different style of cooking. We can hardly wait to go back."

  • "Don't shy away from this place if you're vegan, the experience they offer is really special. Not only did they print out special menus for us, the food we experienced was some of the best we've ever had, especially the tofu! I also enjoyed the fact they kept bringing a bread selection around with olive oil. Honestly, the one drawback to this kind of dining is the small portions, so the bread helped fill in the gap. The positive thing about the small portions, however, is the flavors are so strong and memorable that you really don't need more than a taste to feel satisfied by each course. I did the 4-course tasting this time, but next time I'll probably pay a little extra for the 7-courses, I think 4 is a little small for a dinner."

  • "After a 7 or 8 course meal, I can't believe I left hungry, only the 3 or 4 slices of bread kept me from saying I was starved. You would think so many courses should fill you up. The food was good, but there was so little of it, each course was barely 3 bites. I think this may be how the very rich dine, but it is not good to leave a very expensive meal still hungry."

  • "Sadly, this was a disappointing dinner and not worth the cost. My sis and I went together... We ordered the steak for two that came with mashed potatoes and mixed veggies that included carrots and brussel sprouts. The beef was chewy and for $85 that should not have been the case. The mashed potatoes were fluffy but flavorless. The veggies too lacked flavor or interest. We finished with a chocolate soufflé which was undercooked and nothing special. The ambiance was nice and the wait staff fine but not worth the money. I have been to cafés in the area with far better food for much less money....."

  • "I give this restaurant an A+. Whether you appreciate fine gourmet food or not, this restaurant is for all. Its Michelin rated but all the food is accessible and not so obscure that you couldn't order anything and feel like its too exotic. The chef is so creative and each dish is so well thought out. We will be back!"

However, it was my fault in that I did not ahead to ask if there was a special menu (it was Christmas Day) and what the meal cost. When the waiter (Mark, who was great) presented me the bill, I almost fainted. Really? $99 for a buffet? Never again will I come back to the Sante Restaurant."

  • "Sante is my "go to" restaurant for special occasions. The service is spectacular and they have an extensive wine list along with a sommelier. What I really love about Sante though is while it is a 5 star experience, it is never haughty or pretentious. We brought our daughter's boyfriend on this trip and it was his first fine dining experience. The waiter helped him pick out some of his favorite brews to pair with his sea bass (who am I to judge?) and our young friend was "stoked" about the restaurant and can't wait to come back. While the presentation is amazing, the food always tastes good and not just to the more refined pallete. It's nice restaurant for date night or an adult family event."
