A word from Sanfords Restaurant
Sanfords has been an Astoria landmark since 1922. The Sanfords of today serves exceptionally well prepared American comfort food, in a modern, casual & sleek environment. The space is bright & alive during the day. Dim, candlelit and relaxing in the evening, with loungy tunes playing in the background. The combination of lighting, sound & warm colors create a truly unique vibe in the space.
Aside from the great food & atmosphere, Sanford’s also boasts Queens most affordable & diverse premium beer & bottled wine list, with over 30 wines by the glass. All of our wines are maintained in the Le Ver devin Wine preservation system, which pumps the precise amount of air out of each bottle of wine that is opened.
The only things we love more than food & wine at Sanford’s, is people, and the fact that
Good food and drink brings people together. Sanford’s is a place for people old and young, to come to eat, drink and celebrate life, family and friends.

Diner Reviews
  • "I've been here a couple times & the food is usually good. The saltiness of the food isn't consistent. There is this one waitress who isn't very good. I didn't want to make a big deal & call the manager but she really didn't make our dining experience a nice one. She was clearly annoyed when we took awhile to order. When I tried to order the scallops, she said they had run out so I ordered something else but I saw the scallop dish being serviced 3 times while I was there (To customers who can in later than us). & when I asked for A1 steak sauce, she said they didn't carry that & asked if I wanted Tabasco instead, so I said sure, & she brought me this other weird hot sauce instead. I know they carry A1 sauce because I ask for it all the time."

  • "Its like the Oke Coral, at this place with a reservation no reservation its first come first serve Told by the Hostess after being 5 mins late we dont honor reservations after 9 pm you well have to wait. I then ask well whats the point of taking reservations if you are not going to honor them. She got the manager returned who repeated the same story. And that its the owners fault that people are allowed to make reservation after 9 pm. Well I walked out of the leaving to hostess and the Manager arguing with one another. Went to Grand Cafe 3701 30th Ave, Queens. Nicer waitstaff, very accommodating, food was excellent , lots to choice from. The staff makes recommendations on food if you ask and I bet they HONOR reservations made after 9 pm."

  • "Went to Sanford's for brunch and it was outstanding. The prix fix deal is fantastic at a great price and with a ton of options. I had the smores waffles, but I had a hard time deciding what I wanted! Others had the french toast panini, corned beef hash and duck burger. All were very happy with their meals."

  • "The food was awesome, the restaurant was clean, the service was quick. i think the only negative i could give the place is that whenever i am there i always feel hurried. the waiters hover and they present you the check before you are even finished sometimes. i understand there is sometimes a line out the door but i don't like feeling rushed."

  • "This place is always busy for bunch, so i decided to make a reservation on opentable for 4 people. My girlfriend and i were meeting our friends there at 10am. We got there around 10am, but they would not seat us until the rest of our party was there. I told the lady they were right around the corner. The hosts refused to sit us, so the table that just opened up went to some one else. about 2 minutes later our friends arrived, but there were no open tables. We had to wait 30 minutes for a table. The whole reason i made the reservation was so that i wouldn't have to wait for a table. I will never eat here again."

  • "We used to love this place but for the last 4 times we visited it was actually very bad. The food is not as good anymore, not sure if there is a new manager, but the last guy we spoke to was very rude and sarcastic. We asked why it is so dark, because it was darker than usual and the manager came by and said if we have complaints we should visit the restaurant during the day time. But other than this food is really bad now here and someone needs to check if they really serve organic, grass fed beef. Will not go back, there are 100 other places in Astoria."
