Upon exiting the car, I recd a flower for Mother's Day from valet. After being seated, my family of 5 were waited on very well. I had the Eggs Benedict and loved it! The mixed drinks were very good too! I had a reservation and we didnt have to wait at all and were seated right away! Our server came over for our drink orders and hurried back with them. We ordered our food and he offered us bread while we waited. Our food was there within in 15 min or so! Very quick service. A lady brought it out and even took the time to see if we needed anything else. Our waiter checked back on us and kept making sure our iced tea glasses were full. It was a really great place and we loved sitting on the patio where we watched everyone on bikes, walking, dogs etc. We will definitely be coming back and will definitely be going to Duke's (affiliated with Sandy's) in Hawaii in December.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMSweet RedemptionI've enjoyed TS Restaurants for over 30 years! Tahoe/Maui/SoCal. Mother's Day in Huntington Beach; doesn't get any better with the Sandy's staff (Chris[Oahu} and Robert managing) ensured one of the top five restaurant meals I've ever enjoyed! The cheese plate featuring homegrown California cheeses with chutney was exquisite and perfectly balanced. Shrimp flatbread pizza was fired to perfection! Crispy with shrimp that tasted fresh-caught! Mom had lobster/seafood cocktail for an entree. It was of perfect size AND the sauce with heat made the flavor burst incredible! For me, the portobello/heirloom tomato stack was THE BEST EVER! The food isn't cheap, and quite honestly, you're better off eating appetizers than the main courses as they are bigger servings. We were celebrating a group 40th birthday (all 12 of us turn 40 in 2013) and we were being a bit loud. We were seated at a spacious table in a corner; the corner was actually 2 walls of windows so we had a great view too. Our waiter was funny, personable, attentive, knowledgable and totally understood our needs without hovering. The food was wonderful; I had the sea bass and friends seated near me had either the barramundi, tomato and portabello mushroom entree or the tofu wraps; everyone raved about their meals. I ordered the shrimp flatbread that was just the right amount of food for the price. The mixed grill is kind of a rip off though. Overall the experience was nice and I would defiantly go there again. Everyone enjoyed their food and the service was friendly. Right on the bike path, you can watch all the people and the volleyball games played while you dine. Just enough air to give you that open feeling, but the staff keeps the windows monitored so you are not chasing your napkin down the restaurant. Great food, properly cooked, and brought to your table hot and on time. Combined with a cold beer or your favorite beverage, a wonderful dining experience. It started out rough since we were a party of 12, but they only set up a table for 10. Once they fixed the table, we waited a long time for a waiter to take our orders. However, once a waiter came with our drinks and the bread, the staff was very friendly and welcoming. Food-wise, it was awesome! I ordered the New York Steak while my friends ordered an array of flatbreads, ribs, and fish and chips. We all loved our meals and even took our leftovers to Prom. Not only was the food and beer outstanding, what made it the best was the excellent management, chefs and servers.
