The first thing that impressed me was our servers ability to explain the menu in an exciting and descriptive way. She was attentive but not too much so. Wait staff is knowledgeable and attentive, the wine is good, and the food is excellent and creative. Everything we ate tasted wonderful and it felt like we were having a special experience. My only complaint was that the portions of my dinner were quite small (almost comically small) so if you want to fill up plan on getting an appetizer and a dessert. The dessert we had was spectacular. We were greeted by name at the door, and the greeter offered to hang up our coats! The waitress was attentive but not overly obtrusive - just about right. Then one of the owners came up at the end of the meal and asked how it was and seemed genuinely interested in our experience. It is rare today to find this degree of personal attention at at restaurant. We have always taken advantage of the tasting menu and have been surprised and pleased with the food selections. The presentation of the food is always amazing - worthy of pictures.
If you go, ask for Kim to be your waiter. She is pleasant, attentive and enjoyable to be around. We were greeted by one of the owners, Roger Kubicki, and seated right away. Our server, Kim was knowledgeable and funny and was attentive without hovering. The food was excellent and the portions were perfect, not too big but not too small either.
