A word from Sam's Tavern
Sam’s Tavern started in the1940’s, the original birthplace of Red Robin standing at the corner of Furhman and Eastlake in Seattle, at the south end of the University Bridge, before they served gourmet burgers, offered bottomless fries, and adding the name “Red Robin.” It was just “Sam’s Tavern” and then “Sam’s Red Robin” and after dropping the name “Sam” the rest is history. Or is it? Fast forward 70 years later to 2013 the originator “Sam’s Tavern” is reborn. This time it’s in the heart of Capitol Hill off 11th and Pike with a vibrant setting, convivial ambience and hip American tavern concept. Sam’s Tavern is an energetic place to visit on a Friday and Saturday night, but also your “go-to” take-out on any night of the week. We dish out top notch specialty gourmet burgers with endless fries using locally sourced ingredients, from scratch recipes and sourcing fresh buns from local bakeries. Continued

  • "On the day we went they had just lost power to their kitchen so almost everything on the menu was out the window. they did have a grill set up to make burgers which was nice. i saw a sign however for gourmet burgers and any restaurant that claims to have gourmet burgers and then as the vegetarian option serves a Boca burger, is very disappointing. from what i could see their idea of gourmet meant smaller portion. I had an enjoyable time but i dont think the restaurant lives up to the name the owners are listing it as."
