Most recently was to celebrate our birthdays. My wife and I have birthdays two days apart. The food was excellent. Our severs were very attentive to our needs. We have been to Sam's during a holiday weekend and the difference was like night and day. The food and service was excellent, but be prepared to pay the price. My husband did not like the glaze that was put on his Porterhouse steak and the menu did not say the steak would have a sweet glaze on it, and it also seems like an odd cooking choice to make. My Chicken Oscar was very bland. I also do not think frying it was the way to go. Even the side dishes seemed a bit bland and under seasoned.
I wish they had seated us as I had requested in a more private and quiet area instead of in between 2 large and noisy groups.If I ever go back I would probably request the non bar side as it seems nicer to me than the bar side. Everyone from the hostess to the waitress to the bus boy wished us a happy anniversary. The waitress gave us two wine tastes before we purchased a bottle to make sure we selected one we both could agree on. This was very nice. The food was great. The service is surprisingly fantastic and the wait staff is energetic. The bernaise sauce is sinful and the filet oscar is also quite good. I keep taking more people here to introduce them to it. Our waiter, Chuck, was able to modify the specials exactly the way we wanted them and the chef was amazingly accurate. The steaks were done to perfection. Our drinks were never left empty. We dine here a couple of times per year, mainly because of the price and how far the restaurant is located from our house. The food is always outstanding, the service great, and the overall evening a celebration. Our waiter this time was Mark, who took very good care of us in the front dining room. Food was delivered hot and in a timely manner. It was our 26th wedding anniversary and they treated us to a wonderful dessert. To top it off, some friends had given us a $100 gift certificate, so overall it was a wonderful evening.
