"Wonderful food and a beautiful view. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience. It was a Friday night so we were also treated to live music. The bar area was busy, but didn't bother us. The music and the active bar area actually made for a fun and lively atmosphere. We had the special, (a rack of lamb with wild mushroom risotto and a pomegranate reduction) and the duck breast with root vegetable hash. Both to die for! Everything was cooked perfectly and was fresh and flavorful. The blueberry cobler was also delicious. A+. We will definitely return!"

"The food was better than most with a broad selection. The only downside was that on the day we dined, there was no seafood catch of the day, which is unusual for a waterfront restaurant. We also found it to be a bit on the noisy side, as patrons were trying to compete with the live music that was playing as well. I know from previous experience that if dining at the restaurant on Sunday through Thursday, this is not an issue. The view from every table is excellent. The waiters and staff are friendly, but sometimes difficult to get hold of, especially on a busy Friday night. For the Annapolis, MD area I found the prices to be reasonable. I also have to state that they have the best Lobster roll this side of Portland, Maine."

"Had an excellent Easter brunch at Sam's. Located south of historic Annapolis in a condo development/marina, Sam's is great if you want to get away from the crowds, and have a fantastic meal. Our server was very attentive and helpful, making the experience even better. Crabcakes with shrimp risotto was excellent, with large lumps of crab meat and little breading, and was fairly priced. Excellent views of the marina, with freedom to walk the docks after brunch. Highly recommended."

"Fabulous. A special place in Annapolis? This is it! Doting service without hovering; great recommendations. Live music in the bar filtering throughout. Pier side tables and bar outside. Dress casual with that high end feel. Crisp white tablecloths on tables inside, looking out above the harbor. What view! An eclectic menu - the duck breast and salmon were superb. Nice wine list - try the Sancerre. We'll be back! Next time we'll try the chef's mystery tasting!"

"I went to Sam's to celebrate my girlfriend's b-day and we had a really good time.
The food is delicious, the view is nice, the atmosphere is excellent and the service MORE than excellent!

"We had arrived early in anticipation of having a drink at the bar before dinner, but the bar was a bit small and there were no seats available so we were seated early. We started with an appetizer. I had the Chili and my husband had the scallops. Both were terrific. We ordered from the winter menu and my Chicken Limone could had used a bit more sauce, but was tasty. The special was pork loin with Coconut Curry sauce. That was great. Overall we had a nice evening and the food was pretty good, but we weren't impressed with the portion size for the price. The service was terrific and we would recommend this location to others looking for a similar experience."
