We recently discovered Sam's has a priced fix menu on Sunday's and we plan to take regular advantage of it. This past weekend we both had a sumptuous heirloom tomato/fresh mozzarella/prosciutto appetizer, prime rib entree with mashed potatoes and fresh green beans, and death by chocolate dessert. The total bill was scarcely more than we would have paid for a local chain restaurant. It really was terrific value for the money!

Over the years we have been to Sam's maybe 5 or 6 times. The food is pretty good and it's a nice neighborhood place to go (I'm not really in the neighborhood, but not too far). They are very friendly...not really sure what else to say. The decor makes me feels like I am in a hotel restaurant for some reason. I think the decor could use a little updating - maybe the food, too. I don't have anything bad to say but there is nothing outstanding to report either.

Had a very good fixed price meal. Salmon was delicious and service was great. Music was a bit loud when we got there but they were terrifically accommodating when we asked them to lower the volume a bit. I had forgotten how nice Sam's is.

It had been about a half year since we last dined here, but our expectations for great food were met as usual. We love the periodically changing menu that still also features some favorite, old standbys. The fixed price menu on Sunday night drew us in and we loved the marinated steak entrees we got. It's a great bargain. We've decided to make this a regular Sunday night spot.

Although our waiter was very friendly and funny, the service was really quite slow. It's possible that this was because there was a large party seated next to us, but who knows? The drinks were extremely weak, although expensive, and the food was not really tasty. I would not return to this restaurant.

We love Sam's of Gedney Way. The food is always great. Whether it is fish, chicken or beef it is prepared to your liking. The staff is warm and welcoming. Most lunch and dinner hours owners Karen and Peter Herrera are there to greet you with a smile and make sure that you have a good experience dining with them. Sam's has their own free parking lot and in the evening street parking is free. It is a neighborhood gem that we know we can visit for a great dining experience.

Went for Brunch with the Family as we are Brunch Aficionados and overall the experience was good. Service was quick, food was good and the Bellinis were very good too and served in big wine glasses. The only thing we felt was the table was too small and tight to be able to enjoy a comfortable experience with 4 people. We were seated at one of those tables on the elevated floor against the wall. Not bad but not comfortable. I would still go back and recommend.

We went for brunch. It's one of few restaurants we have found in Westchester that has unlimited mimosas with weekend brunch. The food was just ok. Waffle was chewy. Mimosas were good, but waiting staff was not great about refilling. We may just take the treck to nyc when We want a good weekend brunch with mimosas from now on.

Four of us met at Sam's for a Sunday Brunch. We were seated outside upon our request. The Cubano Tapis was delicious and the guys enjoyed the wings. Steak and Eggs was had by three of us. The steak (filet) was very tender and cooked perfectly. The frittata was a bit overdone but edible. The overall experience was great. We were there for three hours and the time just flew by. We will be going back to try Same's Great BBQ. Looking forward to a second great experience.

Cute Find, with good food and friendly staff, Awesome recommendation by staff to go for a walk across the street on a walking trail to top off some great waffles with bacon for brunch, noisy at the time bc they had multiple parties, but a nice atmosphere and large place, with good food for a decent price (look for parking behind the main street).. Worth the trip, would go back again.

From the moment I arrived until the moment I left, every detail was great. I received a warm welcome upon my arrival , like I was a member of the family. The menu had enough variety for any palate without being overwhelming. Warm bread with a delicious butter was brought to the table. I enjoyed the Gedney salad with scallops as an added protein. The salad was fresh and tasty, and the 4 scallops were a healthy size, cooked to perfection! A scoop of creme caramel ice cream completed my meal on a sweet note, and the service was impeccable. I would definitely recommend this for great, fresh food & welcoming atmosphere.

We've been to Sam's before but many years ago, before they spiffed up the decor. It has a high-end feel--and high-end prices, but the food is good, and our waiter, at least, was very attentive. He absorbed our need to make an 8:00pm concert at least 15 minutes away and delivered our courses accordingly. Both my wife's vegetarian dish and my Gemelli with chicken and artichokes were served in generous portions.

I visited Sam's during Restaurant Week and, while the full menu was offered, I opted for the special prix fix menu. The onion soup was, by far, the best I've ever had, the good-sized piece of striped bass was cooked perfectly, and the dessert biscotti were delicious. Glasses of wine were generously poured. The noise level was just enough to cover your conversations from the other diners, but not too loud where you couldn't hear your table mates. The waitress was fun, friendly and efficient. Food was served in a very timely fashion. This was my first visit, but will not be my last.

We don't often go out to a restaurant and I'm so glad we did! Sam's has justly earned their great reputation. Even though it was busy service was prompt and always courteous. The brunch menu offered a great variety. Both the butternut squash and french onion soups were really tasty. The P.E.I. mussels were great, and while I would have preferred them over the more traditional pasta, the accompanying steak frites were yummy. My son loved his pancakes and my husband his Reuben which was nice and thick. We were too full for dessert...always a good sign. Sam's of Gedney has not seen the last of us!

Ate in a party of six on a Saturday night. Place was full & jumping. Service was good, but waiter was so busy working other tables that we didn't see him all that often. Food was good, but definitely NOT plentiful ... especially for the prices being asked. Portions were small and side veggies and the like were even smaller. Prime rib dinner that was ordered Medium Rare by one in our party was BARELY pink (& definitely NOT red). Took FOREVER for our waiter to check in on us so that we could send it back, though he was very apologetic AND a medium rare piece was brought to our table in mere minutes.

We chose Sam's of Gedney Way because of its location, away from the hubbub of downtown White Plains on a weekend night and it far exceeded our expectations. Our party of four ordered from the Hudson Valley Restaurant Week menu which offered lots of great choices, and our attentive waiter even told us about some extra selections that were not on the HVRW menu but which were included. My salmon dish was outstanding, and I enjoyed the leftovers the next day for lunch. Very flavorful, a creative combination of tastes. The others in my party also enjoyed their selections, and we all agreed that the espresso gelato for dessert was outstanding.

So there were 8 of us for brunch. Service was outstanding! We loved the little room they gave us. The lattes were awesome. The food was okay. Everyone that got the steak and eggs had cold eggs and potatoes. Steak was not cooked correctly for one person. I had the waffle but the Lemon ricotta was missing. I really really wanted to love this place and make it our "brunch home," as I frequently get groups together. I am willing to give it another shot. Perhaps it was an off day.

A great bar scene on a Friday evening, but not a peep could be heard in the dining area. A private room that was accommodating a small dinner party. A larger enclosed patio room that could accommodate about 50 it appears would be great for a rehearsal dinner, shower, corporate lunch/dinner, and would you know, downstairs is a ballroom that can seat 200! What a hidden gem!!! Their own parking too. But wait, the food! The service! See Phil at the bar, he's worth the trip. I was so impressed I saved myself a trip to the mall the next day for a birthday gift and walked out with a gift card for my dear friend. Not to be missed!!!
