A word from Sam's Anchor Cafe

Located right on the bay with views of the San Francisco skyline, Angel Island, Alcatraz and the Corinthian Yacht Club. Dinner items include fresh fish such as Salmon, Petrale Sole, Seared Ahi Tuna and Cioppino. Lunch fare consists of inventive sandwiches and salads, seafood specialties and… classics such as Burgers and Fish and Chips. Brunch features include Omelets, Huevos Rancheros, Crab Cake Benedict, Cornmeal Waffles and lunch favorites.

"Known more for eating and drinking on their deck but the dining room was very pleasant overlooking the yachet club with an excellent view of SF skyline in the distance. Food and service was excellent! We arrive and depart via the ferry from the city."

"Caters well to those who must dine gluten free. Salmon was terrific, and the steak very juicy. We were there on a rainy April evening. Quiet, great service and delightful to see the twinkling lights of San Francisco shining in the distance."

"Completely unprepared for 5 of us who arrived on time, with no table set up, all good tables taken by tourists....crammed us into two small tables which took some time to set up...unwelcoming and felt very disappointed In all aspects of this place....will not reserve here again! They have no respect for your reservation system, and could care less about local repeat customers vs. tourist crowd!"

"As Open Table guest, we were not able to get outside seating, which was disappointing. The quantity of food served was less than I expected per entree. The waiter was very attentive; I was surprised that Arnold Palmer ice tea was not refillable, contrary to what host advised. We also arrived 30 minutes after 2pm because our ferry was late, but we were not allowed to order brunch items."

"Took my daughter here for lunch and we had a wonderful time. Clams and crab and oysters and wine. Lovely, with peanut butter pie for her birthday desert presented with a candle. It was a wonderful experience! Lots of fun!"
