Sammy's at PlayhouseSquare
I loved Starz Restaurant andI loved Starz Restaurant and was sorry to see it go but was pleased to know that Sammy's was coming in its place. We ate there on April 16th before seeing War Horse and were very pleased with the service, ambiance and food! The pre-priced 4 course selective menu for the evening did not disappoint... from the lobster bisque to the chocolate torte, we savored every bite! Our entree choice was the Chilean Sea Bass and it was perfect. They also offered a Late Night Menu with small bites. The staff was great and got us out in a timely manner for our play. My only suggestion would be to expand a bit on the overall menu selections. We will definitely return!4/16/2013 12:00:00 AMThe four course menu was aThe four course menu was a tad more "mediterranean" than I care for. But the dishes were excellent and better than I expected.4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMI would have given the foodI would have given the food 5 stars, as I know Sammy's is capable of 6 stars...however the Salmon retained a large portion of grease that as much as the outside of the fish was crispy, the greasy flavor interfered with the mild flavor of the Salmon. The potatoes were starchy and gummy / made me feel as though they had been overcooked. I try not to be too critical, but if I were Sammy's, would want to share with the chef.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMAn enjoyable experience, butAn enjoyable experience, but too pricey for what you are served.
