  • "Enjoyed good food, then great entertainment! Wish there were more venues like this! The oven made pizza is fresh, and to die for!"

  • "This restaurant is romantic, however because of the noise level, I recommend requesting a table in the back if it's a first date."

  • "The Drag Brunch entertainment was amazing!! Price was very high (more then most drag brunches around town) so don't know if I'll return. But the entertainers were fantastic"

  • "Our experience here was just...okay. The food was tasty, but overpriced and we were never served our appetizers. The drag show that was the real draw for us was mediocre, at best. The MC's outfit was so unflattering that it was a distraction. She also struggled through the entire show, having no real funny or interesting material ready for us at all. There was way too much lame talking and not enough entertainment. Each performer did only one song! It felt like they served up C-List queens who weren't being booked anywhere else, honestly."

  • "The food was very good. The waiter was great. And the atmosphere was the perfect date night. Not to crowded and the band was just right."

  • "Outstanding.., menu selection was wide, background was nice, drinks were outstanding"

  • "We rarely splurge but this was a special occasion. I had never been and I guess my expectations were to high. The waiter asked if we wanted salt ,we said yes, he never brought it. I order my steak medium, it was well. When a place charges you $34 for a steak you assume they will hire someone who knows how to cook it. I rarely send my food back because I don't want to be eating when everyone is done. I did tell my waiter about my overdone steak and did get a free dessert. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't an awful experiance, but I did expect better."

  • "Had a great time and great service at Sambuca. This was my first time to this location in Uptown, same for my date. We both had a great time. Food was very good for a night spot. Service was excellent. Our waitress allowed us to migrate back and forth inside and out to the patio, where we had a cigar after dinner. We went back inside after the cigar, had another drink and desert. Unfortunately, we had to leave before the music started. Next time we'll time it better inorder to see the show and do some dancing."

  • "Overall I had a great experience. My girlfriends and I normally go for birthday celebrations and we've always had a wonderful time. The music was ok the night I went but it was still lively. The food was excellent. I can't recall what I normally get but the shrimp pasta was to die for, there is absolutely nothing negative I can say about that. Oh and the mango mai tai was just perfect for the evening. Awesome awesome time."

  • "We enjoyed our anniversary at Sambuca. The food was great, the ambiance was mood setting, and the live music was just right for the occasion. I am familiar with Sambuca of Atlanta which was just as nice. I will definitely return to Sambuca in Dallas and recommend it to everyone I know. Thanks Sambuca for the lovely evening. See you soon."

  • "Expected more intimate seating and atmosphere...was comparing to Atlanta Sambuca. It was fun, but noisy. Not meant for "get to know you meal". Great music. Ok food. Great waitstaff"

  • "Sambuca from start to finish was one of my favorite dining experiences I have had in Dallas to date. The food was spectacular, the service was superb, and the atmosphere was on spot. My only regret is not making the reservation a little later so that we could have enjoyed the live music. Really looking forward to returning...especially for that lobster/crab dip!"

  • "After church, men dressed like women w foul language at an upscale restaurant like Sambuca was a shame bc the website didn't mention the event or the price for brunch. A $75 meal and we couldn't use our groupon? Nvr again! "

  • "Food , service , band was good . Way too loud ! Impossible to hold a conversation . Average sound system . "

  • "We had an amazing time at Sambuca. We were promptly greeted and seated upon our arrival. Our waiter, Eric was very helpful in selecting the best drink and food selections. The Special Edition band performed and the crowd going from the second set until we left. Valet was a little busy but the music was playing outside as well so u were still being entertained. We will definitely return to this venue. Thanks for making my birthday dinner a special one."

  • "Sambuca never disappoints!! The food is delicious, the service is great, and the live entertainment is worth it. We will be back!"

  • "Horrible loud band that sounded worse than bad karaoke. Margarita pizza was awful and when we told the server they took it off the table (70% still on the plate, but did not take it off of our bill). The music was horribly loud and glaring from every speaker. Surf & turf was just ok, but portions were small. "

  • "Great job, food was good, band was good, overall just a good job. "

  • "We were visiting from out of town & were looking for a venue with great dining/food & live music. We passed by/found Sambuca with the sign "Fine Dining and Dancing" on the building. Bad experience all around: fine dining is white table cloth, not concrete floors and bar type tables. We had one dish, a shrimp & crab dish that tasted like cardboard. But the crushing blow was the sound system. Terrible, with both feedback & distortion: plus playing very loud for a small crowd. Being a Sunday evening, the entertainment was one guitarist and percussionist not suitable for dancing. Listening maybe, without the distortion, but definitely not for dancing. If you are a 20-30 something & want a bar scene, this place MAY be for you."

  • "Had fried clam appetizer, pizza (meat lovers-to die for!) and listened to best band in DFW-Moving Colors! What's not to like?"

  • "I did not enjoy the service I had. They were not nice did not try to meet my needs. I will not be spending top dollar for poor service again!!!"

  • "Sambucca has a great balance of quality food, good wine list, and great music. We enjoy dancing the night away."
    Dined on 5/9/2014
  • "We've been coming here for years, and Sambuca has definitely gone downhill in our opinion. At these prices, I expect more than laminated placemat-style menus and wait staff dressed like they were going to the neighborhood supermarket. And where are the nice cloth tablecloths? The Bruschetta was lacking in cheese and basil. Fettuccine with shrimp was good but had too much pepper and onions and shrimp tasted fishy. Flat iron steak was good. We've always been able to count on Sambuca for a nice dining experience, but the experience no longer matches the prices, unfortunately."

  • "We were married at Sambuca Uptown and we truly love and adore this place. I always get the porkchop (best in the world!!) and wife ate the champagne chicken. Food was great.. Our server was very attentive and always checked on us. The General Manager and the events coordinator came to our table to wish us the best. Awesome place to enjoy a meal and listen to live music. If it were up to me I'd give this place 10 stars because of the food and employees."

  • "Sambuca is a lovely place right in the heart of Dallas. My past visit on 05/03/14 was a bit disappointing. Our server could have checked up on us a lot more. We were done with our meal for 20 minutes which means we waited about 20 minutes for our check. There wasn't barely any people there as it was 6 pm. Could have been a better experience. "

  • "My husband and I had a great time tonight. The band was awesome and they sat us promptly. The food was just okay - more seasoning could have been given to the dishes. Overall it was great"

  • "Food is priced too high for entrées not bad for appetizers. Loved the live music. Why have vallet service every night (maybe do it on weekends on week days there is plenty of room to park myself)..... should also be for tips not a mandatory $5. Also was a little too dark in the restaurant for me. "

  • "the layout of the restaurant is very nice. I love the dimmed lights and live band very romantic! on the opposing end my service was horrible. it took quit some time for the food to come out. The food was good but not good enough for the what was being charged. me and my date paid over $130 for appetizer, dinner, dessert and a glass of wine. "

  • "The area outside is wonderful, once they turned down the speaker. Our waitress was a bit unattentive. Food was brought a bit soon after we received our wine. The food looked wonderful, and tasted even better. Both of our meals were great. Had to ask two other wait people for silverware. When leaving had to walk through the main area. The place was crowded and blasting live band. People were having a great time, just not my thing. "

  • "We had a fabulous, relaxing meal and with plenty of time to made it to the musicals."
    Dined on 4/26/2014
  • "While the food at Sambuca was good, the evening was ruined because the band (extra, extra loud Beatles cover band) was so loud you could not carry on a conversation with the person next to you at the table. It was very disappointing. I was expecting jazz in the background."
    Dined on 4/25/2014
  • "We were able to sit in the courtyard which was pleasant but the food was average and our waiter appeared high."
    Dined on 4/25/2014
  • "We can have fun just about any place we go, but I felt like I was at a wedding ... young kids (ages 8 thru teens) were there through the second band set, past 10p, dominating the dance floor, watching any/all intimacy we might have shared, even at our table (adjacent to 3 families of kids). Ridiculous, and it held our evening back, not to mention the $10 drinks and just average food. For a beautiful Saturday in April, you'd think the place would be packed, but it wasn't even close, not much energy. Swagger was a good band, but the evening was not worth the $200 food/drinks price tag for 2 people. "

  • "I have been to Sambucas's in the past. The energy has changed. The food was marginal at best. However; the waiter was good and the energy of the other guest was fun. I was so surprised it was not that crowded. Not certain if I would return. Not bad, just not great!"
