Diner Reviews
  • "If you have dined here before, do not expect the same quality of food as your prior experience. The food was really bad last night, especially the rice. I was surprised the restaurant felt comfortable enough to serve it to diners. Not worth the money. Definitely, the worse restaurant our party has experienced in Las Vegas. Please, please spend your money elsewhere - not worth it!"

  • "We were in town for the NAB (trade show) and wanted to find a good place to eat at the last minute to escape the trade show insanity. The ratings were good here, so we booked our table and hoped for a romantic evening after a super hectic day. It was not what we expected. I blame it more on not being able to see much on the OpenTable app. We were happy with our meal and the service and would recommend it for groups of people who want to sit on the edge of the casino's action. If you're looking for something a little darker, quieter, or more romantic, go somewhere else."

  • "I have been here many times over the last 10 years. This was the only bad experience I have had, but it really felt like the restaurant was in decline vs. just having a bad night. Meat variety was limited, most was overcooked, and the service was very, very slow. The manager tried to help out and things did improve slightly, but overall it was not what I had come to expect. He did manage to send some rare meats to our table, but many were cold and ultra-rare as opposed to a nice rare to medium rate. So it was one extreme (well done) or the other (raw). The manager was nice and did take 20% off our bill, however I would have preferred to pay full price for a great experience."

  • "Normally we go to Vegas alone. We have had 2 romantic dinners at Samba in the past. The booths provide a romantic experience. We were with the family on this trip. Of all the places in Vegas she could have picked to have her birthday dinner my wife chose Samba. Everyone of our family members were very impressed with their meal. I think her brother would have bathed in the chimmichuri sauce. When I made our reservations I mentioned that the trip was for my wifes 50th birthday. I didn't give it another thought and was astonished at the end of the meal when they brought out a dessert with a candle in it and sang Happy Birthday to my wife. The servers and management helped to make this a trully special occassion. Thank you"

  • "If you don't mind eating in the middle of the casino, Samba is a nice experience. As such, the restaurant is noisy with "outside" noise. But the food makes up for it. My husband had the unlimited dinner and was not disappointed. In true Brazilian steakhouse style, the meats just kept coming and he enjoyed all of them. I wasn't as hungry so I enjoyed the chicken which still came with unlimited salad and sides. I loved their salad so much (sort of a Brazilian-style Caesar) that I ordered a little more at the end of the meal as my dessert. All in all, a very lovely dinner."

  • "Out of all the restaurants in Vegas, did not want a buffet, this was recommended for meat lovers. A little disappointed."

  • "I'm probably being a little over the top... as the food was decent, but it wasn't over the top. I consider myself a foodie as I travel a lot and eat at a lot of high end restaurants. If you're really, really hungry, this is the place for you as you will definitely leave full... well stuffed is more like it. They have a good variety of meats, lamb, steak, sausages, etc. but by the end, the flavors seemed to run together. I'd like to see more sauces than just the chimichurri. Rice & beans were great as well as the plantains. Overall, a good experience, not a great one for the money. Dinner for 2, with 2 cocktails each... $175 with tip. Ouch..."

  • "I would NOT recommend this restaurant, its overpriced, bad service, and the food tasted old, NOT freshly prepared like the Samba in Los Angeles. Sangria was okay, but was very dissapointed with the overall experience. Do NOT waste your money here."

  • "most of the reviews I read cautioned about the difference between the true Brazilian feast and the Samba experience, so we ordered other dishes off the menu. our food was fantastic! we had seafood, rib eyes, salads, a chicken dish and dessert with drinks. our service was fantastic, and the online reservation process was a snap even though it was a Saturday night during March Madness. A key to our experience as locals, we knew to tip our hostess immediately as she called us forward...asking her for a quiet corner and an attentive waiter. Remember people, these employees depend on customers not their employers to make a decent living, so do your part."

  • "We have been to several similar restaurants and the servers were constantly coming around with the meat options, here the service was a bit slow, the quality and taste was very good. A bit pricey, if I had to pay full price I may have said something but since it was mostly comped we enjoyed it."

  • "Our party of 6 were a bit early (@20 min.) and the hostess pleasantly seated us almost immediately. We waited possibly up to 15 minutes for someone to attend to us and take our drink order. The waiter was pleasant but VERY soft spoken and difficult to hear. When the drink order finally arrived (@ another 15 minute wait) I thought the waiter was somewhat distasteful delivering the drinks. Instead of handing them individually to each person the waiter stood at the end of the table and reached over the table to deliver our drink order. Some of the meat was awesomely delicious and some we found very dry. There was a larger party of about 12 behind us and it seemed when a waiter would appear to head our direction then"

  • "I thought the food was great, and I enjoyed getting to try many different types of meat as well as the vegetables, salad, and wonderful pineapple. The drinks were very nice as well. It definitely had something for everyone in the family. We had seven and two of them tend to be picky about their meats, but everyone was happy. Thank you for a nice evening."

  • "If you are familiar with the dining experience at Fogo De Chao you will be very disappointed in Samba. No salad bar and less than appealing ambience. Food was average at best and service left something to be desired. Would not recommend, nor would I return if I'm in Vegas again anytime soon."

  • "Great food, good service. We eat there almost every trip about 3 times a year. We always take are friends there and they also fall in love. Can't wait to come back in a few months and eat there!!"

  • "Ate here because we were going to a show later. Booked for 7 pm, seated right away. Very busy and the waitress was too rushed. She was very robotic. Not until we engaged her in some conversation and let her know we were locals did she warmed up. Being local shouldn't matter. We were given our bread with a salsa and garlic/oil dips. The garlic/oil was good. When we asked for more we were told they were making more and then someone brought out a cup of oil with very little spices/garlic. No flavor. Salad was limp. Sides were Kale (underdone), white rice, plantains (cold), and something I cannot even remember. The meats brought around were OK. The steaks were best. Charged for dessert that was included? Will try Texas de Brasil to compare."

  • "The chimmichurri sauce was delicious, and the brown sugar sirloin was very tasty. However, the atmosphere and service was sub par for a Brazilian restaurant in Vegas. Our server was not very knowledgeable. He had little to no enthusiasm. We have been to rodizio style Brazilian restaurants that have exceeded our experience. We were left disappointed with the overall experience. Some fun and entertainment should be added to this experience because there is potential!"

  • "We hit this place because we are on a unique food intake challenge right now and needed a protein heavy meal. We have hit a few major Brazilian bbq's that were better (meaning they had more high quality meats) but this one fit our needs well. We were there to see the Beattles show at Mirage so this was convieniant and met our needs. I would go back but it was probably over-priced(as all on the strip are) for the quality of meats served compared to other like Brazilian steakhouses."

  • "Great time at Samba. I eat gluten free and the management and staff were very helpful and knowledgable. Only 3 items on Ridizzio that I couldn't eat. The servers knew that and never offered them to me. Awesome experience and food!"

  • "The salad was a little disappointing. The meat servings were very good. The service was a little slow to start and then got better. Never did get one of the little stop and go signaling devices. The whole experience was not up to par with other Brazilian Steakhouses I have eaten at."
    Dined on 3/3/2014
  • "Despite asking the servers to slow down the food kept coming. For those who have not been there there is a peg on the table with one side green, meaning bring the next course, and one side red to wait a while. It made no difference. Only truly enjoyable dishes were the salad and the lamb."

  • "My family and I have been telling the world about the fabulous Samba steak house. Especially the filet steak done to perfection and the lobster tail. There is no such thing as a Vegas trip without a stop at Samba. Some family members order the Brazilian all you can eat . This trip however, I ordered the Lobster but was told it's no longer on the menu. my son and I both ordered the Filet. It came smothered in a thick brown roast beef like gravy and the steak itself though cooked to my liking had not been seasoned with salt and pepper. All I could taste was the overwhelming gravy . My son said his steak reminded him of meatloaf. Not fit for the type of classic food that we remember from the past few years.."

  • "My wife and I met up with my nephew in Las Vegas. He was there for a convention and asked us to join him there. We had gotten tickets for Ron White's Comedy Salute to the Troops at the Mirage and wanted a nice dinner before the show. Samba was the perfect place. The food was outstanding and the service great. The servers were coming to our table so fast our plates were always full. If you like meat, this is the place for you."

  • "My husband and I celebrated his birthday here, both selecting the All You Can Eat meal. If you're going to dine at Samba, you might as well! This way, you get a fantastic sampling of their best items,,,,,It sometimes seems neverending --- and it is so worth it! Every item was delicious! You can't go wrong treating yourself to a dinner here at Samba :)"

  • "My first experience a a Brazilian steakhouse style restaurant. Being early dinners, we received the first cuts, which may explain the level of overcooking. The breads, sides and dressings were well prepared and quite good."
    Dined on 2/9/2014
  • "Not as pricey as some similar Brazilian steakhouses, and the meat was all moist and tasty. Limited side dishes. And it is in the middle of a casino, which may not be for everyone."

  • "The food was great and fun, we had like 10 people and they had time to talk and enjoy one another in between the servings of the meat. Show your Nevada ID for 20% off the entire group!"

  • "Beef except for the added special filet was tough even though medium rare. Few meats were marinated for added flavor. Chicken and turkey were too over cooked to be edible."
    Dined on 2/15/2014
  • "Great filet, beautifully served, but too open to the casino; so noisy it was hard to hear across the table"
    Dined on 2/15/2014
  • "Very open so ramdom people walking through the casino stare at you while you eat. Seating is something like of a buffet where you're seated really close to a stranger next to you. The style and colors is out dated, not very pleasing when you're spending $70 per person (Valenitne's Menu). Alot of the meats were over cooked and dry. I did notice that the cheaper cuts of meats where circulating more than the other better choices. And if you asked for two pieces of meat they give you attitude by not responding. In the end management Sam was extremely helpful and was able to make us a Fillet mignon that was so delicious and tender. Other than Sam being extremely accommodating. I just can't recommend this place."

  • "We went here because we only had one hour before our show and we figured it would be quick service. The service was indeed fast and wait staff friendly. The food, however, left a lot to be desired. After the salad - which was quite good, the rest went downhill. Each skewer of meat they brought was heavily over cooked and very dry. I was trying to find some steak sauce just to be able to swallow some of it. Chicken - dry. Sausage - dry. Etc Etc it was like everything was overcooked. We got there when the restaurant just opened too, so I left wondering if they just didn't reheat the stuff from yesterday. Having been to Foga de Chao, Fire de Brazil and many other churrascarias we were quite disappointed and would not repeat."

  • "I love a good Brazilian bbq restaurant but this experience was less than ideal. We did the all you can eat which included an ok take on Caesar salad, sides like kale and beans, but more so the star, meats, were not good. Lamb was dry and over cooked, all the steaks were served rare which is personally not my thing, Turkey blech, and garlic bread? Really? However, I never order chicken at a restaurant (Mark up is crazy) but it was the only decent meat as was the hanger steak. Caipirinha was yummy too. You're a restaurant in Vegas surrounded by top notch places. You have a hot to do better. Service also was lack luster at best. Friendly but inattentive. I won't waste my money there again."

  • "The restaurant is in the middle of all the casino action at the Mirage. We were seated promptly; the meat selection was not very good; however more importantly our "button" was green the whole time and we struggled to get food on our plate; we kept getting passed over. I had to make requests for more food. When they did bring some options it was not the best; the best part of the meal was the chicken which is sad since this is a steakhouse. I love the atmosphere but service and food need to improve. We had a party of 6 and paid over $300."

  • "We had a party of 8. They came by once and than disappeared. The waitress asked what we wanted them to return with. In the other Brazilian restaurants I have eaten at we did not have to do that. As long as the card said Green they kept coming. Very disappointed with the Meat service."

  • "I enjoyed this restaurant with a group of 4 friends. They were a little reluctant because of the price at first, but everyone left full and happy. Definatly recommend the all you can eat. When the servers bring around the skewers you get to chose from many different choices, with just enough time in between to enjoy it."

  • "A wonderful dining experience, fantastic food, attentive staff, fun surroundings. This is not a place for vegetarians or seafood lovers (although some seafood is on the menu). But if you love meat, served hot and cooked to perfection, this is your place. We make the pilgrimage anytime we are in town!"
