  • "We go here for special occasions. I had the filet and it was delicious. I was a bit disappointed because the main reason we go there is to have the Chateau Briand for two, and they have taken that off the menu. We also go there for the Bananas Foster dessert, which they have also taken off the menu. Otherwise the food and service were great!"

Could be they're looking to redefine their customer base by going more upscale and more for the business person clientele? Very few patrons on a Wednesday night even though it was half price wine bottle night."

  • "Although the seafood entrees sound delicious we always end up ordering meat to compliment the fabulous red wines they have on their menu. Steaks are cooked to perfection; my husband opted for the duck this time and he said it was wonderful - had a cherry sauce that had the right amount of tang and sweetness. Our apps were a perfect start - tender calamari; one order was enough to share for 4, and artichokes francaise that melted in your mouth!"

  • "Once again I had a special experience at Salvatore's. After choosing a wine from the very extensive and creative wine list(the best in WNY) we started off with fresh oysters and wagyu carpaccio. The oysters were very fresh and delicate and paired perfect with the champagne we ordered.The carpaccio is served very creatively on a hot stone where you can literally sear the incredible pieces of wagyu steak. Cool concept and it really fun to eat this dish. For entrees we had the Australian lobster tail and NY strip steak.This was a very decedent meal with incredible sweet and lush lobster meat and a full flavored robust steak. Everything was cooked perfectly. Two double espressos to finish the meal. Great service. Amazing food. Not to be missed!"

  • "A very welcoming atmosphere. Many food choices (maybe too many) and an impressive wine list. We have been going for years on special occasions and always had a positive experience. The prices have increased to a level that will definitely limit the number of visits for us. There are other options when spending 150+ for two people and with wine, tax and tip, it's tough to be under that. For a Saturday night, there were many empty tables and I suspect prices are the reason."

This time we took my partner's sister and her husband and introduced them to our special waitress (Laurie). I think Laurie is half of the reason we enjoy going there, besides the wonderful food.   • "Food was excellent and at a very reasonable price for a Fine Dining place; especially during Valentine's Day. 1. Table was not ready at reservation time, 9:15 pm; Seated 9:35; 2. We were there 45 minutes ahead of our reservation. We expected that the bar would be available. It was, but it was too small and overly crowded to place an order. There was about 3-concentric guests surrounding it. There should be two designated waiters walking around the bar/waiting lounge taking orders; 3. The waitress took 15 minutes to get to us. Manager reminded her; she said she was working as fast as she could. However, she was exchanging stories with the table next to us for about 10 minutes."

  • "Excellent service and spectacular food. Went during Valentine's weekend so had the special menu, meaning the normal menu with it seems $19 added to each entree price. The extra made it a 4-course special so we all had an appetizer, soup or salad, entree and a desert with coffee or tea Wine list was extensive and well-varied in region and price. Appitizers...recommend stuffed meatball or stuffed olives. The caesar salad was also great. My filet. .. wow! Medium well to perfection, great flavor ... wife loved the bone in ribeye medium rare, niece's strip was perfect. Deserts... canoli cheesecake and tiramisu all winners. I don't like tiramisu and I liked theirs"

  • "We had valentines day dinner there...the prices where high for the quality, but hey Valentines day ... to be expected...what was not appreciated was unordered flowers at the table with chocolates...clearly not ordered or requested...what am I going to say the wife thinks it is great so she get two sets of flowers?...$50 added to the bill for flowers never wanted or asked for...got me once shame on you get me twice shame on me... will never be back...ok meal but no class which I would expect for "fine dining"..."

RARE is what he ordered and was given a MED WELL.. this is the first time my brother and his wife come the salvatories... small mistake it was handled very well by the staff and was fixed right away... the staff were very sorry for the mistake , and the meal was only delayed by 6 mintues... thank you paul jeffrey"

The service was excellent as usual The ambianceis wonderful - romantic, low ligting, on the quiet side and of course, beautifully furnished and decorated. My husband and I both had the Steak Salvatore, which was cooked tableside. The best steak we've ever had. Cooked perfectly, it was so tender that it practically melted in your mouth and the flavor of the wine sauce and mushrooms was delicious. We've been to Salvatore's a number of times and have always had a great meal there no matter what we tried. We also like to upgrade our salads to the Vermont salad - well worth the upcharge."

  • "What a perfect way to celebrate my birthday. Everything was perfect from there perfectly cooked food, amazing service and extensive menu and wine list. I truly love the growth this restaurant has done with every experience I have. The menu is phenomenal; it still has great traditional Italian Dishes plus a vast variety of wonderful cuts of meats and seafood’s. The wine menu is also out of this world, with hundreds of bottles from all different regions and countries. Wonderful prices and if you go on Wednesday they have great special for this phenomenal wine menu. After everyone enjoyed there dinners, and a few great bottles, we ended the night with a after dinner drink and dessert which made a great night perfect."
