  • "Salvatore's Italian Gardens has has always been one of my favorite special occasion restaurants. It is the first time I have to say I was disappointed. The menu has changed and the prices have gone up. They no longer offer a Dinner for 2 special. The salad is not included in the cost of dinner. We ordered the brushetta bread - which was always outstanding - this time it was just fair. I ordered the chicken milaneese. It was OK - but nothing that I would expect from an upscale restaurant. My husband ordered the pork chop - and he had the same experience - it was good - but nothing outstanding. I expected better from Salvatore's. It is the first time in the 32 years I have been going there that I had a disappointing meal!"

Service was really good. What a great evening, dinner, dancing and romance. Wish we had more spots where we could dance and have a great dinner. One of the few spots in Buffalo with a big dance florr. What a fun way to burn the calories off!"

  • "Anyone who thinks this restaurant lost any zip in regard to the quality of food since Russell was there is sadly mistaken. Brunch and Event food as this establishment is average , but off the menu dinong is still one of the top 5 in Buffalo IMHO."

  • "Salvatore's seems to be trying to rebrand itself into a high-end steak place. Almost nothing on the menu is Italian food now. Prices have really increased (e.g., $42 for lobster ravioli), plus salad is not included any longer, so a dinner is much more expensive. Service was ok, not great, and something was missing. The salmon was good but the risotto was lukewarm. The prime rib was ok but came more well done than the medium that was ordered and had boiled potatoes. Little boiled potatoes like you have at home! Why go to a high end restaurant for boiled potatoes? Got there at 6pm on a Wednesday when bottles of wine are half price and the place was dead. Large parts of the restaurant were closed off."

  • "I had to entertain clients and there was a group of 12. We were seated in a corner area at a round table that was conducive to conversation and sharing appetizers, etc. Very good service. Kind of an odd atmosphere-similar to a banquet hall, ornate furiture, and low lighting. food was Excellent!"

I had zero complaints! The bar was a nice area too with the band playing in the room in front of us. Would absolutely come back again!!"

  • "My friends and I took advantage of a beautiful night by dinning on Salvatore's impressive patio. They without doubt have the nicest patio in town along with live music every Friday night. We all shared the famous sausage bread as well as an assortment of chilled shellfish. This was very fresh and refreshing. It paired perfectly with the bottle of incredible growers champagne. several of us enjoyed the prosciutto wrapped Caesar salad. The best part of the meal was the incredible stuffed veal chop. It was seriously on of the best dishes I have eaten I a long time. The veal was the most tender chop I had ever eaten. The sausage stuffing and sauce laid over it was devine. I ended the night with freshly baked cookies and an espresso."

  • "Beautiful night to sit on the patio. We had an appetizer cheese platter and a couple glasses of wine to start. Then my husband had the short ribs and I had the red snapper. Although the portions of food are a lot smaller than some Buffalo restaurants, the quality of food is fabulous. Pricey but sometimes you just have to spoil yourselves a little"

  • " Dining here is never rushed which suits us just fine. Tried a couple of seafood dishes on this visit and we were both pleased with our choices. Only glitch in the evening was our seating. I had requested a booth, if possible or a table not located in the middle of the dining room. No booth which was surprising because we had such an early reservation. But we were seated at a table by the wall. However this was in what I call one of the "off" dining areas, which to me looks like an overflow area. Not much atmosphere. So we asked to be moved to another table, and that was somewhat better, and the service was great. But next time I will have to be even more specific on just where we would like to be seated to enjoy our dinner !"

  • "My wife and I had the most incredible night at Salvatore . my wife and I enjoyed a pre dinner drink with a personable bar tender that assisted with choosing the perfect wine . We were then seated on the patio . Service was impeccable , food delicious , and the best was the entertainment . He was a singer that sounded better than Frank Sinatra . The night was so enjoyable that we ordered another bottle of wine to enjoy the entertainment."

  • "We dined at Salvatore's Italian Garden Restaurant to celebrate my in-laws 50th wedding anniversary.. All I can say is outstanding!! A few of us had the Salvatore's Classic Sampler (steak, chicken and tortellini), a few others had the steak entrees and my daughter had the salmon.. They even brought a dessert with a sparkler for my in-laws! Everything was cooked to perfection, the steak was melt in your mouth delicious, and the Chicken Milanese was to die for. Everything was drizzled with the best balsamic vinegar that I've had since my return from Italy last year!! Paula Salvatore had designed a flower arrangement for our table and it was so beautiful and fitting for our celebration. Definitely a night to remember!! A little piece of Italy!"

  • "We are in our late 30s and easily half the age of the majority of the diners. I don't know if our waiter assumed we wouldn't tip as well as his more mature customers, but he was terribly inattentive. We were seated and had time to look at the wine list, the entire menu, finish 2 glasses of water before our waiter even came over to ask for or DRINK order. He checked back to see if our steaks were cooked to order when we had nearly finished. When we paid for our meal, he disappeared with our credit card for more than 10 minutes. For fun, we do mystery shopping for various chain restaurants. You would think a fine dining establishment would EXCEED these standards set by a simple chain restaurant, let alone fall BELOW it."

  • "I don't have high expectations for restaurant performance on Mothers day, but this was surprisingly bad for a place that really is known for it's banquet business. We were seated a full 40 minutes past our reservation time. It would have been longer, but we were offered a table on an outside patio area with a temporary enclosure. Would have been OK, but the heaters they had going made in uncomfortably warm (outside temp was ~70. Wait staff was fine, but the brunch buffet was chronically out of... pretty much everything (the omelette & carving stations did fine)."

  • "Overbooked on Mother's Day - just as they were on Valentine's Day. We waited 45 minutes past our reservation time to sit. Tried to get a drink in the meantime and were unable because the single bartenderwas too busy getting tgethe waitresses their drinks to even look around the bar. When we saw him putting Bacon and other edibles into bloody Marys with bare hands we gave up on wanting a drink anyway. Foodwas mediocre...just not worth tthe money. Will not go back for any popular holiday as I've confirmed on this second attempt that they just can't pull it off. "

  • "We where a party of 6 canadians celebrating 4 of our birthday's. (We are all in our early to late 50's. I love itialian food limited extremely limited choices. With what we did order and also my husband and myself had the water guy dump water all over us, was small portions, uneatable. mushrooms so salty just plan disappointing. Not one of us that the meal was worth the money and none of us would go back. I felt awful as it was my idea to go to Salvatores."
