Dining at Salute was grand...it was quiet, we were treated with consideration, the food was terrific and the view of the harbor was very satisfying...what more could a person want?6/3/2013 12:00:00 AMTake your book club here for brunchOur book club met here for brunch on Sunday and we were given a lovely round table, perfect for including everyone in our discussion. The brunch menu (which we concentrated on) was very appealing with good food and service. The views are of course lovely. We plan to have our next meeting there as well. The regular menu is also very nice, but we chose from the brunch menu on this visit. The noise level was also very nice, and conducive to conversation, so I hesitate to tell people about it, just because we liked it as it was...tough balancing act, to like a place well enough to recommend it, but not so it gets so popular, we can't hear ourselves think. Food was great as always. I love to sit by the window and watch the bay. We had a booth along the water which is always nice and is a lovely way to enjoy a meal. I had the sole which was good but very small pieces - not what you would expect with petrale sole. I love the spinach that comes with the fish. My friend had a pasta dish which he said was excellent. Salute is a wonderful spot in a city that only has a handful of really good restaurants.3/22/2013 12:00:00 AM
