  • "Food was excellent, but overpriced. Noise level was so high that conversation with our friends was difficult."

  • "good quality of food, good service, but a little bit expensive."

  • "Food was excellent, service was friendly and timely. View was wonderful and just a great night."

  • "This restaurant really benefits from great summer weather. We enjoyed the river view with the sailboats on it. Their service and food do match the view. Pick the rockfish/shrimp piccata dish for a very nice fish dish. In a group of six, we all found the food excellent, sadly didn't need dessert."

  • "I took my boyfriend here for his birthday on a 80 degree day for brunch. We sat outside on the balcony and it was gorgeous. The service was prompt and friendly. The food was amazing! I love the chocolate fountain :)"

  • "Beautiful setting and the food was excellent - went there for our anniversary and was treated really well. Live music is wonderful also."

  • "Everything was wonderful except my mom's food was over 20 minutes later than everyone else's. It arrived after everyone else was finished. They comped that plate and the dessert for a party of 6. However, it put a damper on the festivities."

  • "This Salty's has become an annual stop after an activity in Gresham each year with our group of 4-10. I come from Seattle (often members of our group come from outside the PNW) and although we have Salty's here, this one on the Columbia is special. The view and the vibe are great and we have been extraordinarily pleased with the service each time. Not only was our waiter, Wills, *perfect*, but the charming beverage manager also came through to inquire about our cocktails and share stories with us. It was a most pleasurable evening and did the job to refresh us and Friday HH / Attitude Adjustment. Highly recommended if you are in that area (Northeast Portland, PDX airport, Jantzen Beach, Vancouver WA)."

  • "went to salty's for my birthday lunch. I was treated like a king!"

  • "We went to lunch on Friday and sat on the lower deck. The salads and soups were very good, and of course, the view. We decided on Saturday to go back again even though we were in the car and couldn't book thought Open Table. We sat on the upper deck and enjoyed the same things all over again."

  • "We had not been there in ten years but wanted to take some friends from Albuquerque and its desert surroundings to look at the beautiful view while dining. We were not disappointed! We made reservations and had a short wait for a window seat. We had only two appetizers plus a soup or salad, same appetizers for each couple, so really didn't get to sample much of the food. The coconut tiger prawns were excellent and the crab cake good. The Oregon red house blend wine was fine too. Best part was the white cake w/raspberry syrup dessert, which was offered by the manager for our guests as a treat with a little champagne. It really made the visit extra special for our guests. They were ecstatic and said it MADE their visit to Portland."

  • "I chose Salty's as a special place to celebrate my friend's 70th birthday. We were not disappointed. Food was great; staff, friendly and attentive. The view is amazing. We will be back! :-}"

  • "This place is a regular stop for me, however this time it was only good, not great. The scallop ceviche appetizer was rubber acording to my dining guest who I assured would be impressed with it all. The spicy green beans and carrots side dish was a mix of mushy over-cooked beans and a smattering of tender crisp ones to cover up the grey color. My entree was delicious though, the Oregon rockfish and prawn picatta. The peach melba was also yummie. I'm still a regular. But I hope you take feedback to heart and stay great."

  • "This was our second visit to Salty's on the Columbia and we are sold on this establishment. We have frequented the Seattle area Salty's a number of times and they never disappoint. The staff is always friendly and efficient."

  • "I have been to Salty's several times for my mother's retirement and also for company events. But this was special, because I got to spoil my husband for his Birthday at Salty's! He has never been to the NW, so I wanted to share with him one of Portland's most talk about eatery's that everyone loves to go! My husband was impressed by the view, the food and just overall it being his Birthday, he was overjoyed! The wait staff was nice and friendly. He enjoyed his meal (crab dish) and said he wanted to come back again very soon for their Happy Hour! So I say thank you again for everything! We will for sure be back. And will recommend Salty's to as many of our friends as we can!"

  • "It was our 8th Anniversay. We were seated at a very nice table with an incredible view. Two bald eagles swooped down and got their brunch too. Our table was perfect, the food was outstanding, and the service was great!! We truly enjoyed our time at Saltys. All the food on the brunch was so good, really enjoyed the fresh crab and all the brunch selections. We take our friends from out of town here and like to go here for special occations. I highly recommend Saltys. Its been a favorite for years. :)"

  • "Greeters and wait staff were warm and friendly. Our river view was nice. Need to return more often."

  • "Service was good--but not outstanding probably due to the fact that the restaurant was pretty busy. Food was well presented and very tasty, albeit expensive. The indoor temperature was slightly warm (it was a hot day) partially due to the fact that the entrance door was held open so much. We were celebrating our anniversary and looking forward to having halibut. There were no entrees for it listed but we were pleasantly surprised to find a halibut special. It was delicious. Would be great if they should employ some noise-absorbing ceiling panels as it was loud to the point of being distracting. Excellent food though."

  • "I like their salmon, oyster and delightful deserts. The salad is also very good. I personally like to have warm crab, but all their dungeness and snow crabs are served on the ice. Still they are tasty."

  • "Your date will suck your dick so hard if you take her here"
    Dined on 7/11/2014
  • "We made reservations and didn't have to wait at all before being seated next to a window. It was Friday night and the place was jammed. Our table had a view of the Columbia River as requested in our reservation request. The seafood (salmon and rockfish with shrimp) was excellent and very fresh tasting. There is free valet parking which also enhances the experience as parking otherwise would be impossible. There is also outdoor dining when the weather cooperates."

  • "We sat upstairs on a busy summer midweek evening and had lovely views but it was hard to converse with our friends from out of town."
    Dined on 7/9/2014
  • "I love this place, always have. But, the lunch menu was limited and prices are very high. Four of us for lunch with 2 drinks was $195 including tip. I used to love to go to brunch here, but again, prices have gone thru the roof. Still for a special occasion you can't beat the views."

  • "Great food all around. Chowder is excellent. I had the small steak and half lobster tail dinner. Both were great."
    Dined on 7/6/2014
  • "We loved the view and the ambiance of the out doors, we had the perfect corner outside table. our waitress was over the top and patient with us as we kept visiting with our friend instead of ordering, she continued to keep checking with us to see if we were ready yet, she didn't make us feel like we had to be in a hurry and order, she aloud us to enjoy our visiting. The food was exceptional from the appetizers to the dessert. I have never had clams and they were wonderful as well as the calamari, will definitely order those again. The grilled seafood was very good, I would have liked some garlic butter with it, my fault for not asking for some. going for brunch Sunday."

  • "Salty's is a great place to eat. The food is impeccable and the place is beautiful. The scenic views outside the windows is very relaxing."
    Dined on 7/5/2014
  • "It is hard to find fresh, well-prepared local seafood these days. Salty's does it right and has a lot of options for all tastes. True, it's not cheap, but you can choose a chain restaurant if you don't care about quality."
    Dined on 7/5/2014
  • "It was my mom's 60th Birthday and we had never been to Salty's before. We even rented a car because Salty's is not on a bus line. No one made her day special...No drink, no balloons, no nothing...The food was so-so but I thought there was room from more offerings like mashed potatoes or hash browns and a waffle bar instead of the creep station...The layout is somewhat unorganized with Oster's and Clam Chowder being so far away from the seafood table...I don't think we will make the effort to come back."
    Dined on 7/5/2014
  • "Salty's staff is always great at making us feel special!"

  • "I have been traveling to Portland for many years. Salty's has always been my favorite, because of the view, the sevice and the great food. Many restaurants are inconsistent from year to year. Salty's is always at the top of their game."

  • "On a warm evening we sat outside in a wind sheltered area that overlooked the Columbia River. Watching a barge honk his horn at a sailboat, the river seemed serene. Above a bald eagle swooped down over the water, then plucked a fish out for his dinner. The salmon and halibut were delicious and moist, though a little slight on the accompanying vegetables. Without blaring music, it was quiet outside. We would recommend this delightful spot."

  • "we always look forward to dining at Salty's and will come back soon."

  • "It was very nice and our large party was taken care of nicely. I personally have been here many times and wanted friends who have never been to love it as much as I do, mission accomplished. The only criticism some of my guest had was for price portions almost seemed like large appetizers rather than full dinners. We did order several large appetizers and I'm sorry to agree that many of the 30 plus dollar entrées were no larger. I will always return and I hope my friends will too."

  • "Once again, we did an early dinner on Sunday evening with young children, and we were extremely pleased with the food (as always) and the great service. There were several other family groups with young children, and of course, the noise level was "energetic," including our 2-1/2-year-old guest who announced in a fairly loud voice "boat" every time she noticed a boat going past. Of course, my husband and I also enjoy outdoor Happy Hour or later-evening dining by ourselves...just for the food."
