  • "Food was fantastic and so was the atmosphere! View from any table of the city was amazing! "

  • "We had friends from out of town and the night at Salty's was perfect. The Sound was blue with white caps, boats in the distance, the staff were all most welcoming and genteel. The food was delectable and our friends were MOST impressed with Seattle's hospitality and the spectacular showcase that Salty's gave for the Seattle andNorthwest experience from food to wine to view! Thanks "

  • "They had an amazing Sunday brunch, it doesn't get any better than what they had. Tremendous selection of food. Come very hungry you won't be disappointed."

  • "14 of us celebrated a co-worker's service anniversary with our company. We were accommodated nicely and the servers tried to make it a special occasion."

  • "We had a reservation for 6 but changed it to 5 last minute, if you call showing up 20 minutes early late. They sat us 10 minutesafter our reservation time. And when we were brought down to our sitting, over half the tables were empty but Then they crammed 5 of us into a 4 topper forcing my brother to sit in the main aisle where he was constantly bumped by everyone coming down the steps to their window view seats. And by wait staff going back and forth from table to table. It was my dads59th bday. And because of this and thoughtless service, bday cake issues and overcharging.. we wont go back. I tried to say more but website is limiting m-y review. And privare note to restaurant is only given 2 lines ...really?"

  • "Salty's has the best view for a restaurant. On a summer day, you can sit on the deck which is great. The view at night time is spectacular. Seattle at it's finest!!"

  • "It was suppose to be a special evening, but it wasn't anything special at all. Our server was great, the food was okay and over priced (the Crab Pot or Benihana are a better value), the restaurant is kept extremely dark and everyone seems eager to clear our plates while we are still eating. We asked for a window seat, the restaurant wasn't that busy, but we were seated with a view of people seated at the window and empty tables. Disappointed evening."

  • "Have been to this location several times and enjoyed our visits, but this time was different. The food (that was available; several items were "out"/not available as seen by empty serving trays) was mediocre. Both my wife and I had the prime rib and found it to be on the tough side and very dry. On the positive side, our server was excellent! She had lots of energy, was very personable, and was willing to participate in light-hearted reparte. Both of us were disappointed with our experience which was out of character with prior visits. Unless I hear from others that there is a turn around, I doubt that we will return and cannot recommend the restaurant to others in good conscience."

  • "I am never disappointed when I come t Seattle once a year and eat at Salty's on Alki. Not only is the food delicious and interesting, but the wait staff is wonderful. I made a promise to myself that I would g back to Salty's on Alki every time that I visit Seattle."

  • "I was very impressed with Deanna, a manager there. She was very polite, professional and friendly."

  • "We were fortunate to have a sunny April evening with reservations at 6:30. We were able to enjoy an incredible view of snow capped mountains and puget sound. But nothing compared to the spectacular view of downtown Seattle at night. My guests were wowed. Dinner was good, and we shared a yummy Grand Marnier cheese cake covered in chocolate ganache for desert."

  • "Amazing view and great food but very pricey. Can only dine there for special occasions."
    Dined on 4/5/2014
  • "While the atmosphere at Salty's is always vibrant we were put in an obscure corner where the waitress basically forgot about us. I had to ask for coffee refills several times which was unusual. Most of the "hot" food was lukewarm, the eggs Benedict English muffins was overdone and was hard to cut. The poached eggs were lukewarm as well. The other hot dishes were barely warm. Was probably the worst dining experience I have had at Salty's and I have been going there for many years."

  • "We come to Salty's periodically. The food is always reliable as is the service. This time was during the Seattle Restaurant Week when exceptional value is offered. It was the first day of the offering. We were surprised that they were not organized yet for it. The special menu was not even offered until asked or reminded. Perhaps short staffed after busy Sunday brunch, they also seemed overwhelmed with a few tables. However once over that we enjoyed the food and the service."
    Dined on 4/6/2014
  • "The Sunday Brunch is really expensive. It is chocked full of gourmet tasting food and a huge variety of it buy at such a high price!!!"
    Dined on 4/6/2014
  • "The restaurant was beautiful and the service was top notch. I didn't love the food. The crab cake appetizer was so-so. The steak had a great sauce but I was expecting a melt-in-your-mouth delicious cut of meat. I didn't love the beans which came with my lobster. So, while I enjoyed my experience, I don't think the food taste justifies the price."
    Dined on 4/5/2014
  • "Maybe the best view in Seattle, watching the sun go down and the lights come on in the city. Wait staff was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Food was good, but I suspect the real draw for this restaurant is the view."

  • "Our server, Nash, was amazing and paid attention to every detail!! We were very impressed. The lobster was outstanding too."

  • "I've been to Salty's brunch several times and quite enjoyed it, this visit was for dinner to celebrate a birthday. The service was great, and the food was tasty but costly for what you got. The sunset view of the Seattle skyline is hard to beat."

  • "I find no fault with this water-side gem. On a nice day, the view of the Seattle skyline is spectacular."

  • "We had the best server EVER!!! Keen was thoughtful, helpful and met our needs before they were even expressed The food and view were spectacular"

  • "Great food, great staff, and great views. we we're a little disappointed with the small size shrimp. tasty, but not worth the effort to peel. the crab was very difficult to remove from the legs. maybe overcooked? everything else was excellent. loved the seafood bisque, blackened rock fish, and even the mac and cheese. would definitely return."

  • "This is such a great place. For a lazy Sunday brunch or special occaision - with or without kids. The brunch - and accompanying cocktails - are fantastic. I have been here 4 times now and have never left disappointed. The service is exceptional and says a great deal about the ownership/management as everyone seems to really enjoy their role and service is helpful, cheerful and a pleasure. If you are thinking about going - stop dithering and book. You will love it!"

  • "We recently celebrated a first anniversary of good friends with Brunch at Salty's on Alki. They are a neighborhood place but we don't normally go. Brunch was really good. They give you a map of the stations, there are all of the usual brunch suspects but the real amazing part is the fresh oyster bar and seafood extravaganza! Yes...it is spendy ($45)...and yes they helpfully remind you that you have an hour and a half at your table...but seriously, the crab legs, freshly shucked oysters, prawns and all manner of smoked salmon make it worth it. Ok..the dueling chocolate and caramel fountains are a nice touch too. We had a toddler and they accommodated him perfectly. They brought cake for our celebrating friends. View? Outstanding!"

  • "if only for the endless fabulous oysters on the half shell, the flawlessly poached eggs on the traditional and seafood Benedict, and the lump crabmeat available for the high-speed acrobatics at the omelet and pasta stations. And the piano man."

  • "We took our best friends to Sunday Brunch at Salty's, and it blew their minds. I had been lucky enough to have attended their brunch before a few times, and wanted to treat a couple that is very close to us, and huge seafood lovers. Every time I get the chance to attend Salt's incredible brunch buffet, it wow's me even more than the previous visit. The food was incredible, and love the Bloody Mary bar, great idea. The food was spectacular, worth every penny this special occasion cost. The only thing I did not care of was being sat by the piano, with all the people chatting, and food servers working, it was too noisy."

  • "We went to celebrate a birthday. When making our reservation, we asked for a window table. Salty's replied that those tables were first-come, first-served, which we accepted. Upon arrival, we were shown to a non-window table even though there was a vacant window table nearby. We asked to be seated there, but were told that it was reserved for someone else. Ten minutes later, a couple of women arrived and were seated at that table. As for the food, I ordered stuffed prawns over risotto. The prawns were very flavorful but the risotto was too oily and the entire plate was covered in oil -- unappealing in appearance and taste. Despite the spectacular view at Salty's, this overall experience left a bad taste in our mouths and we won't be back."

  • "Ambiance great w view of city. However quality n flavor of food was average. NY steak $54 n no salad or soup Included. Lobster $52 for what was delivered I canno recommend either dish. My grilled Steelhead was almost without flavor n buried in something. I would not return for dinner But would visit lounge for cocktails n appitizers. I spent $329 for 4 and came away Disappointed. The food was much better at Stanley n Seaforts in Tacoma but with Less ambiance."

  • "food is not the quality I would like but the view is good and service works hard. location for a w. seattler is hard to beat."

  • "This was a special occasion dinner (anniversary) on a Sunday evening. Although the food was very good and the waiter (Danny) very friendly and competent, the kitchen service was unacceptably slow. They were fairly busy, but not THAT busy. We won't go there again for dinner, and will discourage others from doing so. (The buffet brunch is of course a different matter, since you can go and get your own food whenever you're ready for it.)"

  • "The view is second to none, seeing Seattle across the sound on a sunny day is terrific. And, the food, drink and service all matched the view. Our servers were friendly, courteous and attentive, the food was done perfectly and the ambience was great. We haven't had such a good time in a restaraunt in a long time. We definitly will be coming back."

  • "The service was great! Esp the our server Patrick is awesome! I requested for As seat by the window which we didn't get at first but they find a way to give us a good seat as requested! All staff are polite and great! Food is awesome although the porter house steak needs some improvement! Otherwise everything is great!!!"
