"An easy going and generally casual place, a place large enough to handle groups, and where you can get a bit loud and roudy with your friends without causing a scene - the food was OK but pricey (maybe not so much for the area), with service that is too diluted to be able to be good. The cheese plate appetizer was tiny, they ran out of the top sirloin, and the seared ahi tuna is served cold. Wine selection and pricing is reasonable, and there is a large an active bar with some acoustic-style live music. There is better food in Manhattan Beach, but not at that price."

"Food was really good for lunch. Service was less than spectacular. After the main course we were debating whether to have dessert. It took the server a long time just to come and ask. Once asked she brought dessert menus. But after she brought them we waited over 15 minutes for her to return to check on us and take our order. When she did come back she didn't acknowledge the long wait nor apologize. Not acceptable for a restaurant of this type."
