I took my teenagers for brunch on Easter. I know from previously working in the restaurant business that holidays with extremely high volume can be tricky for restaurants. That being said, my food came out lukewarm at best. I wasn't upset but I was frustrated that my daughter's fish and chips came out with a soggy sesame seed breading. We love fish and chips and have never seen breading like this. I feel the server could've recognized that a teenager was expecting traditional fish and chips, soft sesame seed breading is not the norm, and that she would've simply mentioned that to us. After waiting a very long time for our food, my daughter knew it was not an option to make another selection. She ate some of her fries and a few bites of the fish inside the breading. I was disappointed that she didn't get to enjoy her meal.

I expected more from SALT. The food lacked any inspiration or interest. The wine list was limited. The service was just okay - nothing remarkable. And, the prices were excessive. It reminds me of a TGIF that's not quite up to corporate standards trying to mascarade as a high end restaurant. In a town of great eatery options, I would try somewhere else.

The food was ok to good maybe. Nothing wrong with it other than the price. 2 appetizers, a cup of soup and a small salad with 2 glasses of the low end wine + tip $80 +. I'm not trained as a chef, but I know I could have done those at home somewhat better. However; if you have a packed house with ok food and stupid high prices, why would you change? You wouldn't! Congratulations! That is a great business model.

A recent dinner there was quite good. Unfortunately our waiter hadn't checked with the kitchen and a couple of the first things we ordered (at 7:00) were gone (and he confessed that chef fussed at him). But everything we ordered was tasty and well prepared. We'll be back.

We really enjoyed the fish special of the evening. Swordfish prepared in a different fashion. Oysters were tasty as well. One of the best fish dinners we have had in a while. Local customers to Sullivans.

I would not recommend the bistro steak with old bay frites. Everything else (seafood, cornbread, oysters, wine) was delicious. Service was outstanding and ambiance is casual. I will definitely be back to try something else!

The music was way too loud for dinner and was such a random selection it was distracting. Beach Boys followed by Presidents of the United States followed by Bob Marley. The seafood was pretty good, but the side item selection was lacking. The season vegetable was a huge portion of sautéed mushrooms. Disappointing for such a popular area.

We went to SALT because we were unable to get in to Obstinate Daughter. There were a lot of empty tables when we arrived and only a few people arrived after we did. The server was great as was the manager who gave us a few extra wines to sample. The problem was the food. The salmon was just ok and the rest of the dish was rather flavorless. One diner had raw oysters and was happy with them. I won't return to Salt any time soon.

This was my first visit to SALT at Station 22 but not my last. The experience was awesome and a friendly staff!
