"The food was extremely amazing! The guacamole and ceviche has a fresh and citrus flavor that makes me want to go back for more. We tried the quail as well, it literally fell off the bone and was just so tasty. The only reason I won't give this restaurant 5 stars is for 2 reasons: 1) We wanted to try the Chef's Taste Menu but were literally told NO because the kitchen did not want to do it (so that left a bad taste in our mouths) and 2) We ordered two quail dinners, but the waiter only brought one order out. We had to split our plate and wait until he brought out the other order. Kinda ruined the mood since we were there to celebrate a Birthday...but we got a free wine tasting because of the mistake."

"Another outstanding meal at Salpicon. The specials never disappoint. Friends are always impressed. Great wine list. Tinga Poblana is a stand-out, as is the flan. Fish choices always shine."

"Salpicón is a good restaurant. They have a good selection of tequilas, and their tequila flights are good. The prices are reasonable, as well. Food is authentic. If you are looking for an authentic restaurant that is not as flashy and as loud as Carnivale can be, then Salpicón is the place for you. I recommend."

"Disappointing. The host and waiter were inattentive. The food was bland and served on cold plates. The octopus salad was clearly taken straight out of the refrigerator. We were seated at a table that was jammed against the end of the bar. I had a great meal there five or six years ago. Maybe they lost their chef? This cannot be, still, one of Bayless's proteges. too careless for that."

"Went in for Brunch as we heard it was the place to go. Food and service was decent, but not a wow that would make me go back any time soon. Something was missing at least for Brunch, I hear dinner is a different story. Great, great, Tequila list."
