A word from Salotto Ristorante Siciliano and Wine Bar
Salotto is unique in many ways. First of all, our Location; we purposely chose not to be on Atlantic Avenue for several reasons; overcrowding, noise, traffic, car fumes, limited get the idea. We are well within walking distance of "The Avenue" but it seems miles away as you dine in a quiet, relaxed & breezy atmosphere. Secondly, we are a Sicilian restaurant, not Italian. All of our dishes are created from our family recipe book & are prepared quite differently than what most people have grown accustomed to. Lastly; service. As a family owned & operated restaurant each customer is treated "con amore" (with love) as we strive to make each visit to Salotto a truly rewarding culinary experience. The combination of our amazing home-made food, along with our casual atmosphere, allows us to welcome many regulars from the Delray Beach area as well as our loyal customers who return year after year to enjoy our fabulous dishes.

Salotto Ristorante Siciliano and Wine Bar reviews from OpenTable diners
  • nothing as advertised
    OpenTable Diner Since 2011

This place is terrible. First of all, this is nowhere near a wine bar. Its basically a small restaurant (10 tables inside, maybe 5 outside) there was no one when we arrived, the place looked closed. Look on google street view and see for yourself. Nothing like advertised. We were not able to call the restaurant for directions, their number was disconnected.

We arrived, not knowing what to expect. It is a very small restaurant with more seating outside than in. Being that it was too hot we opted to sit inside. We were given a few slices of Italian bread with oil to dip. We ordered our entree which came with a very small side salad in a little bowl. Something you would see at a low end restaurant. I ordered veal Piccata with pasta. Simply put, it was awful. The veal was tough, sitting in a watery liquid along with the pasta. Not only did it look unappetizing, but it was. My husband order a different veal dish which he said was just okay. They are way overpriced for the quality that you get. Give me quality and and I don't mind paying. Give me awful and I feel I got ripped off.
