Enjoyed our outdoor dining experience overlooking the harbor very much. Everything was good and we would definitely return again. Made a comment that our seared scallops were overly salty (not sure why, but they were very salty tasting). Service was good, perhaps a little on the slow side, but we were not in any rush.

While staying at the Hyatt, I enjoyed two meals at Sally's, dinner one night and lunch one day. Both were good. They have decent choices. For dinner, I was not that hungry, so I enjoyed the crab cakes and a side of asparagus. Both were good. The asparagus is served with a poached egg, which was really tasty. For lunch I enjoyed sushi off their sushi roll menu. The sushi was expertly prepared and the fish was very fresh. They have a decent selection of wines and beers, as well as signature cocktails.

Food and views are great for outdoor dining. It's San Diego after all. But the rickshaw cyclists taking people to/from the hotel and Gas Lamp district ruin the mood with blaring music every 15 seconds as they pedal by trying to attract riders. If they could turn that down it would raise my rating by a star.

I made a reservation for a client lunch during a conference. While we were there during lunchtime rush, the service was horrific. 4 people in our party had a to leave after an hour and we let the server know. Her response (and I'm serious here) was "Wow! That sounds intimidating. Not sure I can make that happen." Once she took our orders, we never saw her again. Our party of 8 had been relegated to support staff, who were clearly in over their heads with the lunch rush. Finally, after our order was still not out after 50 minutes, we asked the staff for some go to boxes. They brought them--with no silverware, no napkins, and no bags to carry the boxes. How they thought we would eat a salad with our hands, I have no idea. It was truly awful.

We chose Sally's from the array of choices in our hotel and it didn't disappoint!!! Our server was very well versed in the wine selections and the meals. She was prompt, courteous and we never lacked for a thing. The sweetened butter with warm rolls was a very pleasant surprise to start our meal and the rotisserie roasted chicken was fabulous as was my dining partners fish and octopus plate. To end the meal we chose the gelato trio and were transported back to Italy! Don't miss this place!!!

The fish and chips were amazing, I don't even like fish but this was melt in your mouth amazing! Not greasy at all either! The filet was cooked perfectly and the portion was generous! The only item we weren't thrilled with was the black truffle Mac n cheese, the truffles were dried out and flavorless and the Mac was cold, other than that everything tasted great and the service was good

My wife and I came here for dinner on 15 Aug - Fantastic! Nice view eating outside of the bay. Must try the fish and chips, my wife really enjoyed. The Paella was really good too; however, it is a large sharable portion for 2 or be very hungry. Service was top notch as well. Great place for date night or in town visiting San Diego.

We expected great seafood. And we did get a great presentation when we ordered the tower. Although the shrimp and crab were good, the oysters were dry, and the lobster was soggy and bland. It seemed like it was left in water for too long or something. The omikase sushi was supposed to the "best" that evening but the fish was just okay and not super fresh, although large in size and the rice was dry and hard. I would not recommend this place since the price is high for rather low quality. It was also a birthday dinner for my husband and I specified that on Open Table reservation but they didn't even acknowledge it with my husband. The hostesses were young and inexperienced.

I met some business associates for lunch at this restaurant on a business travel trip which I had never been to the restaurant before. The weather was good and we had a shaded table so it was very comfortable. Our table ordered a variety of dishes and everyone commented that the food was very good. Making a reservation I believe was very helpful because we did get the shaded table. I definitely would go back again.

Visited Sally's with my wife on my B-day. Started with Seafood Selection Small Tower, very suitable for 2, incl very "Large" Lobster and Crab legs and fresh oysters, with 4 different sauces. As a main cource, ordered "Sea Jewelry Paella". They did perfect job to my request to exclude calamari and octopus, and instead they increased shrimps and others. It was first time to enjoy such large lobster in paella. Since food ware so excellent, we emptied 2 bottle of Napa Cakebread!. As a last surprise, when we asked bills, they brought cute dessert we didn't order, with "Happy B-Day! " in chocolate cream!!. It was one of the best my B-Day dinner. I do recommend Sally's where perfect seafood and warm service guaranteed.

We had dinner at Sally's on July 5th. We sat outside - it was a beautiful night, the restaurant is next to the marina, and it made for great people watching as the crowds walked along the walkway to Seaport Village. Our food was delicious and the waiter was knowledgeable about both the food and wine. And at the end of dinner, fireworks went up at the SD Pops concert. A great night!

The food had outstanding flavor. The service was very professional; however, up to three people would ask the same questions at times. The only real complain was the presence of bones and scales in my crispy skin Hawaiian snapper and cartilage in my wild mushrooms. It showed a definite lack of attention to detail by the chef and became a choke hazard.

Excellent seafood restaurant at San Diego Marina, adjacent to Marriott Marquis and Grand Hyatt. Food quality, preparation and presentation are excellent. Service is spotty with long forced waits for a group dinner for 9 people while restaurant was less than half full. Sit outside and enjoy the marina views and San Diego weather. Dinning room is noisy with its hard surfaces.

We had a great lunch on the patio. We didn't expect great food at a hotel restaurant, but this was an exception - food was excellent (we both had a fish/steak special combo that had creative presentation & seasoning). Prices were not that bad given the location. One tip: in the confirmation email it said you had to specifically request the patio, so I called them to ask for that. They graciously said yes. That was fortunate because the patio tables sit out right along the boardwalk by the Bay, a very nice experience. You can probably add that request when you reserve online.

Had a celebratory brunch in the outdoor dining area. Angel was our waiter and did a fine job. Food was great, I had the crab cake eggs benedict and a Bloody Mary. The bloody mary seemed to be made from shrimp cocktail juice and wasn't something I'd re-order. It was another perfect day on San Diego's waterfront and all 5 of us had a very enjoyable brunch.

We come at 7 pm and were seated at an inner-yard table with a good view of the bayfront promenade. Found a great wine list. The salads were small (especially the beet salad) so not noticeable. The crab cake and fish-n-chips were really good. But expensive. Had to wait for 15 mins for a glass of wine and to remind 2 times. Overall - very good.
