Sally's on the WaterAmazing! At the end of our meal - I told my girlfriend that this was the best meal ever! Great food, Excellent Service. The appetizer sampler was amazing, so was the main course. We were so full by the end of our main course and bottle of wine but we just had to order dessert. The couple at the table besides ours seemed really happy with their desserts and I think we made the right decision. I loved this place and will definitely go back the next time I visit San Diego.6/15/2013 12:00:00 AMSome of the other things maySome of the other things may apply but we were seated in a small area out front so didn't really see much of the inside. Food was very good, as was service. Our table overlooked the marina, and we could see all the people strolling and biking along the boardwalk.6/13/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat ExperienceThe servers were polite and the restaurant is right by the water. The food is expensive, but the quality was great.6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMSally's reviewThis was our first time at Sally's, we had crab cakes, very delicious, my wife had the Baja crab club sandwich, very tasty and I had the Lobster salad roll, yummy sandwich, both sandwiches came with a side of sweet potato fries or salad. We also had cocktails with our lunch outside under patio umbrellas overlooking the marina area. Awesome Saturday lunch!6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMBirthday DinnerLove the Halibut dinner and the Cosmo Martini. San Diego was a bit cold in May for outdoor dining. The heat lamps made it comfortable. Food was terrific. I would recommend this place if you enjoy seafood.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMHigh Price, but good food.Pros: Great food; great service; yummy drinks; seaport village.
Cons: Very high prices; loud hotel guests; for some reason at this restaurant where you spend so much money to eat, there is a hostess wearing a sweater and a pair of leggings. Shouldn't there be some kind of dress code for employees?
Overall a good place if you want to spend major $$.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMI very much enjoyed my mealI very much enjoyed my meal the Ahi entrée served atop garlic mash potato's and spinach, the citrus sauce was amazing; however, my husband's entree was overly salted and he rated it a "D". We had the crab cakes and poke appetizer's and they were pretty good. We sat outside, which has heaters but it was still chilly...the view was nice.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent Wine ListThe selection and quality of the food at Sally's was top. I was most impressed with the winelist. It was very extensive and, unlike most Southern California restaurants, the mark up from retail is very reasonable.5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMsolid food...stay away from seaportVillage parking....that is a racket. But MUCH better than the fish market nearby. This is my new seafood place in san diego.
They should mark NOT to park at Seaport Village. Otherwise it is a great place. You need to park at Hyatt or get a $25 ticket at closer parking lot.5/23/2013 12:00:00 AM- Quality of Raw Fish is so-so- Quality of Raw Fish is so-so or lower compared to them in Japan
- However, cooked sea food were excellent
- Pino Noir from Russian River Valley was marvelous5/21/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat dinnerSat at the bar and had a great view of the harbor. Service was prompt and dinner was delicious5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat seafood, charming locationWhile visiting from the east coast, I invited a few friends out for seafood dinner in San Diego. Sally's didn't disappoint: The food was excellent, presentations were appealing, and service was friendly and prompt. The location in the seaport village is charming, and though we sat inside because of a chill in the air, it looks like a phenomenal place to dine outside on the marina. I recommend Sally's and plan to go again someday when I get the chance to visit San Diego again.4/30/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was fantastic theThe food was fantastic the service was excellent. Highly recomend.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AM'A Must' dine in San DiegoNicely laid out restaurant with high top tables and a semi circular black granite counter over looking the marina. Super friendly and fast servers and assistants. I had the lobster paella. Wow! So delicious and served on some kind of silver skillet that seemed to be heated and kept things hot te duration. My wife had a rib eye and potatoes. Steak was good but we could do without the vinegar soaked onions that were served atop. Overall, excellent place. I've been here three times and have been impressed by food and staff every time.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMThoroughly enjoyed our dinnerThoroughly enjoyed our dinner as well as the service..very nice and I would recommend for others and hope to come back when I am in San Diego again.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMA great dining experience!A great dining experience! And hats-off to the Chef.4/11/2013 12:00:00 AMSally's was recommended bySally's was recommended by the concierge at our hotel, and it did not disappoint! The outstanding wine list and menu made the foodie in me very happy. Service was a bit slow and it was pretty hard to have a conversation, but the food and view more than made up for that. Awesome dinner experience! Would definitely go again next time I'm in San Diego.4/8/2013 12:00:00 AMEnjoyed the seafood diningEnjoyed the seafood dining experience very much. Had not been to Sallys in many years. The dining room could be modernized, but the sushi was very good4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMPhenomenal food, service andPhenomenal food, service and atmosphere.
