"Salacia was ok. I took my husband their for his birthday. They make it there business to call and confirm your reservation and to remind you of there dress code, but seated next to us was a guy in a hoodie and flip flops -_- The food was ok. I've had a filet at long horn steak house that was just as good for a lot less. Also when I made reservations I ask the young lady to serve my husband a cheese cake which was suppose to be a surprise, they forgot so I had to remind them in front of him, annoying! Over all I give Salacia 3stars because they gave us a reason to get dressed up."

"We have been to Salacia three times. Each time the food and service were outstanding. April- October their outdoor patio area is open, which looks out over the boardwalk and ocean. My husband and I feel like we are in paradise, without the flight, when we go there. In the winter it is cozy by the fire. The food is spectacular, our needs are always anticipated before we ask. We feel that it is the best fine dining restaurant in the Hampton Roads area. We travel an hour each way to get there. My husband has tried several of the steaks and he says they are "better than Ruth's Chris". I enjoy the fish dishes and they are perfection: local, fresh, yet somehow unique."

"I'm extremely easy to please so writing a negative review is new territory. Too much noise pouring in from Catch 31. Tables were too close to each other so it felt like couples to either side were part of our conversation. Food was only average. For the price, I expected much more. With tip and cheapest bottle of wine our bill topped $200. Totally unacceptable for the average food and non-intimate atmosphere. Terrific hostess and server didn't make up for sub-par experience. Wouldn't recommend or go back."

"Food and service were great! Bacon wraped shrimp was a little over cooked but to cook the bacon you almost have to overlook the shrimp. Filet and crab cakes were excellent and the crab bisque was "to die for"! We sat at the table by the fireplace which was nice but the " comings and goings" through the door was a little distracting! Next time we will request a table by the window!"
