SaisonAmazing experienceAn 18-course meal, each one delicious & inventive. This is food-lovers paradise.6/7/2013 12:00:00 AM17 Courses! We enjoyed this very much. The wine pairings were very good. It was nice to be able to watch the chefs at work from our table. The service was impeccable. The food was on par with what we have had at the french laundry, etc.6/5/2013 12:00:00 AMDivine.........Saison is a REAL GEM OF A FIND in San Fran! Absolutely superb food and wine and service! And the open kitchen - the Chefs looked like they were performing an Opera albeit without the sound! Would recommend Saison to all our friends looking for an "adventure" - good value for money!5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat DiningFabulous cuisine and service. Outstanding in every respect.5/29/2013 12:00:00 AMC'est MagnifiqueThis is a restaurant for someone who is looking for an experience through both ambiance and food. If you are budget conscious this place is not for you. This is for the sophisticated foodie and nouveau riche taking over San Francisco. The atmosphere is perfect; spacious, music is set at the right decibel, not too pretentious but enough flare and arrogance that a restaurant of this nature should have. The food itself was spectacular, an 18 course story brought to life over the course of three hours. Great for two people but I believe the perfect number of guests for Saison is a seating of four.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMArtisan balletThe service is impeccable & adds substantially to the enjoyment
Of the creativity of the genius chef & his flawless
team! It's dinner & a show!5/22/2013 12:00:00 AMIt was a special and outstandingIt was a special and outstanding meal with wonderful and innovative food.
Nice to see the open kitchen and watch the work, very entertaining as well.
Outstanding wine program !5/22/2013 12:00:00 AMFantastic!I have been to a lot of Michelin starred places and this ranks amongst the very best. The concept is really well considered and the integrated dining room/kitchen kitchen is an great compromise between chef's table and normal dining room. It is a great experience and it IS worth the steep price5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious!Delicious food-a real culinary treat. Great friendly and professional wait staff. Interesting decor but the focus is the food and dishware. Liked the open kitchen to watch chefs perfecting everything.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMCasual yet attentive.Wonderful overall experience. Service was world class while being informal and comfortable. Food on the whole very well executed and pleasing. The beer and bread pudding was a wonderful savoury transition dish to the final protein. The black and white sesame soufflé slipped into first place for forty years of eating deserts. Matched wines passable, but as most dishes contained many subtle flavours, possibly the dishes should be left to stand alone and drink a favourite varietal between courses.5/16/2013 12:00:00 AMBest Restaurant in San Francisco. Not a single one of our 18-odd courses was questionable. With each bite, each course was, without a doubt, put together with care and expertise.
This is definitely the best restaurant in SF, down-pat.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMGood service but poor desserts...Had a great night until the first dessert where presented. All the pastry work where very poor. Non technique. It looked like we had came to a different restaurant. The first part were brilliant.5/2/2013 12:00:00 AMOut of this world!!!!Best restaurant in San Francisco. Hands down. Possibly the best meal I've ever had!!4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMOn of my all time favoriteOn of my all time favorite restaurants in the world!. Excellent food! Creative, beautiful dishes. Top notch, knowledgeable friendly staff.4/25/2013 12:00:00 AMFantastic food and presentation.Fantastic food and presentation. Having the kitchen open to the intimate dining area was a great plus with the plates being presented in front of your eyes and the chefs presenting and describing their creations. The only critique is that we did the wine pairings and while several of them were great and elevated the food, as I believe these should, in several cases we found the food to stand on it's own and the pairing to not add much.4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had dinner 4/12. Wow. ThisWe had dinner 4/12. Wow. This is a must for anyone who is a true foodie. The chef and his staff create some amazing and unique dishes. My wife and I felt like the staff really wanted us to enjoy ourselves and did everything to make sure we had the best dining experience possible. Don't think of the price as "that's a lot for a dinner". Rather think of the cost as both dinner and a show, because when you watch the kitchen in action, preparing your food, it is a real show. It is poetry in motion. I can't say enough about the wonderful flavors and textures in each course. It was remarkable. We would highly recommend Saison to anyone looking for a great evening.4/12/2013 12:00:00 AM$1,350./2 people - prix fixeWe will not forget our night at Saison, nor the $1,350. bill for two, which included wine pairing, tip, and pre-dinner wine/cocktails. (There was a $100 surcharge for truffles which, in retrospect, seems at least double what it should have been.) We loved the contemporary, casual look and dress code and found the food to be extraordinary with the exception of one fish course that had more sinew than flesh. We don't usually lean toward community tables, but found it to be quite pleasant. One thing we did like, and wish to see at other restaurants offering wine pairings, was that if our glass ran dry before the next course, they would pour a bit more. All in all, a classy, beautiful restaurant with a kitchen and staff to match.4/4/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful restaurantSeriously amazing. The best meal I've had anywhere in the world in the last year. The food is amazing, surprising and always, always good. The service is relaxed and fun but perfectly attentive. I want to go back as soon as I can.4/3/2013 12:00:00 AMWell deserving of its twoWell deserving of its two Michelin stars. Excellent service and excellent tasting menu. Definitely memorable.3/27/2013 12:00:00 AMMust eat every time in SanMust eat every time in San Francisco, alway give you surprise!3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMworth itSaison is one of the best restaurants in the city. tt is in a class with San Francisco's finest - worth the hype.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing all the way! Incredible,Amazing all the way!
Incredible, so delicious and unique dishes, really creative.
Flawless service,
Beautiful wine list,
Beautiful space.
A definite Must for all foodies out there, and people intrigued with trying something out of the ordinary.3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was probably the bestThis was probably the best food experience that I will ever have in my life! The food was delicious and flavorful but not rich nor heavy. The service was professional, yet friendly and charming. The open kitchen was really fun and interesting to watch all night. It was just so special.3/8/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food, great wine, superGreat food, great wine, super outstanding service. Only thing lacking is for the $$$$ I'm dishing out, I would like to expect more ambience or decor of some sort. The place looked similar to a Cozy cafeteria inside a warehouse. The bar is not a full bar either. At $250 a head not including wine pairing it's a must foodies.2/27/2013 12:00:00 AM
