We've had a different main course each time, and all have been outstanding, my personal favorite is the chicken and waffles it's the best I have ever had.. All of the staff are friendly and really gone out of their way to provide excellent service. Sainte Marie sets a very high standard in a city known for it's restaurants. This place just works. Menu for lunch is going to have something you want. Service may be best in CBD. Convenient and professional. And food is excellent. Both times the food was amazing. The oysters are excellent. The Sam's Sak a mein was a surprise as I have never had this dish - but likely will on my my next trip to New Orleans. I particularly appreciated the local foods like the Alabama peach salad with pickled watermelon rind. They were extremely friendly and seems honestly interested in making the meal a good experience. We came for lunch and both had sandwiches. My wife had the burger and I had the chicken sandwich, and we were both very happy with our choices. Appetizers included the "grilled" Caesar, St. Marie salad, gnocchi and fromage plate. High quality and delicious. The fish-of-the-day fresh speckled trout really was fresh speckled trout and the entire plate was just right. The duck two ways was a generous serving of perfectly cooked breast served alongside a creamy duck risotto. And three of our party - yes, the youngest three - all had chicken and waffles. The chicken was boneless and amazing. The Crystal Hot Sauce syrup was a little spicy, it was a good idea to have it on the side. We were happy traditional maple syrup was also available. Marie for a great cocktail venue, but when we had Mother's Day lunch there with my wife, in-laws, and daughter, we were plesantly surprised at the quality of the food at such affordable prices. We were staying nearby and the reviews looked good so we gave it a try. Drinks were good, service was great, and we loved the chicken and waffles! The bread pudding with strawberry sauce was excellent as well. Our waitress was incredibly nice and brought us two complimentary glasses of champagne to celebrate. So yummy. We both loved the cheese plate that we shared. I had the chicken and waffles. OH. MY. GOSH. I can't stop raving about it. Best I've ever had. We will definitely come back. Any restaurant that treats us this well will definitely be getting our business.
