  • "Saigon Sisters are trying very hard - and we are always very pleased - service, food, ambience everything works. Keep on going!"

  • "I'd never been to Saigon Sisters and have rarely eaten Vietnamese food, so my boyfriend and I were really excited to try this place out. It did not disappoint, from the attentive and friendly staff to the unique, delicious food we enjoyed every bit! I'd definitely love to go back to try some more items off the menu - we got the baby octopus and lamb dish which I definitely recommend."

  • "Delicious baos and whole fish special! A really upscale and refreshing take on Vietnamese cooking. Especially nice if you want the flavors of this cuisine without trekking to Argyle. Very well done."

  • "Had read reviews of Saignon Sisters. The food was very good. Enjoyed our eveinng. Loved the menu selections. Except they were out of their ribs."

  • "Newest location for Saigon Sisters offers full upscale sit down service. Food is well executed and nicely presented. Specials board featured whole Snapper. Really Good!!! "

  • "Saigon Sisters delivered to my expectations! The baby octopus was phenomenal. When ever I return to Chicago this will be a must"
    Dined on 5/15/2014
  • "Everything we had was wonderful, starting with spring rolls and ending with the banana bread pudding. We also had the bbq ribs, fried rice and the vegetable dish which that night was cauliflower. I don't even much like cauliflower but I am converted, really good. I think it is a bit pricey but worth it once in awhile. I'd definitely come back. Service was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu offerings. Dinner during the week is obviously a slow time for them."

  • "Absolutely love the food and service here. I need to have the papaya salad no matter what but I usually wind up ordering what the table next to me had. What can I say, I'm seduced by visuals. "

  • "Quaint neighborhood vietnamese restaurant. Delicious food. Fried rice and chicken curry were delicious"

  • "The food was delicious. Unfortunately, we were distracted by the poor service and close proximity of the group sitting next to us. I included a special birthday request for a surprise dessert when I submitted my Open Table reservation. The dessert was never delivered. Additionally, our waitress forgot one of the items we ordered. It was not included on the bill, but by the time we realized it wasn't coming out it was too late and we needed to leave. We also had to flag down the waitress every time we needed something because she didn't come to check on us. "

  • "Wonderful food (again), with wonderful flavors, and an all around wonderful dining experience. Having dined here some half a dozen times or more, the food seems to be getting better with time (and it was great to start with)."

  • "My husband, grown son and I ate at Saigon Sisters on a Friday night. We had reservations which are a must because it is a very small dining room. Our server was very helpful with answering questions and making recommendations. Everything was very special. Especially loved the vegetarian Spring Rolls and the Snapper was incredible. Cannot wait to go back."

  • "so glad I tried it out! Each dish was unique and flavorful, each staff member was extremely informative and helpful, allowed for much leisure in dining - didn't feel rushed. Great experience!"

  • "Saigon Sisters has amazing food! The different spices and variety of dishes makes dinner so fun. So many different things to chose from! Definitely recommend the papaya salad! Place is a bit cramped, but good service. Definitely recommend!"

  • "One of my favorites, I always love going to SS and ordering my favorites! Actually this time we ordered a bunch of new dishes, and all were just as inspired as my favorites. Don't miss this place."

  • "Saigon Sisters is simply an excellent and different experience. I had never been curious about Vietnamese cuisine and i was a bit leery of the tiny restaurant under the El tracks on Lake. however, I've been there four or five times now and they never disappoint. The food is excellent, spicy in most cases without being overpowered by the heat. Portion size is solid, prices are within reason and the service is generally good. It can be a little cramped in there; i don't think the restaurant can hold more than 35 or 40 people. However, the noise level isn't too bad. We plan to try more of the entrees and add this to our semi-regular list of go-to places."

  • "Really delicious Vietnamese food! Their dinner menu is different than the lunch menu so if you've only ever stopped by for lunch, I'd highly recommend checking it out for dinner. The baby octopus with squid ink rice was really surprisingly awesome!"

  • "Food was interesting and excellent Prices high but we enjoyed our meal Server very helpful with good recommendations Too bad just a few tables as it is hard to get a reservation"

  • "Every dish we had was fantastic and the service was amazing. Very knowledgeable staff. The custom cocktails were great. The food was fresh and good. Enjoy."

  • "Food was delicious. I feel that this place is quite expensive for where it is located."
    Dined on 3/4/2014
  • "The food was absolutely delicious: quinoa salad, steamed fish (Ca Hap), lobster sandwich, and muscles were our favorite. The deserts were excellent as well (banana bread pudding and sweet sticky rice). I can not think of a bad item here. The whole snapper is an art within itself - the presentation and flavor are both out of this world. We shared a bottle of white wine - the savennieres. It complimented the food very well. The crafted cocktails were excellent as well, especially the Dragon Pearl and the HaLong Breeze. I never think of this place having good cocktails since their list is limited but all the ones we had were amazing. Staff was nice and friendly and always willing to help!"

  • "Loved our experience at Saigon Sisters. Everything we had was fantastic except for the sticky rice dessert. Service was attentive but not pushy. My only criticism is that it was a little pricey. I'm not sure there was anything on the menu under $10. We would go back for sure, but maybe 1-2x per year only."
    Dined on 2/21/2014
  • "Good but pricey. Don't be fooled by the waitstaff's recommendations that you need to order 2 plates per person plus appetizers. It was too much food and expensive. Why does the wine per glass have to be priced at $15/glass? Have some selections that are in the $8 range that are good as well. The eggplant and short ribs were good but a bit too sweet. The vegetable of the day of cauliflower with fish sauce/paste was just ok. Not sure why opentable indicates the price is $30 per person when it's more like $50/per person without alcohol."

  • "food was terrific. Wine was a bit overpriced. Took a while for the food to be delivered. Cold air rushed in every time someone entered. The food was good enough to make me want to return and wait staff was very friendly."
    Dined on 2/15/2014
• "A friend recommended we go to Saigon Sisters and I was not at all disappointed. It was fantastic. Great sharing options, familiar dishes with a twist on taste."
    Dined on 2/7/2014
  • "Went for dinner. The food quality did not match the price that Saigon Sisters' restaurant charged for its dinner dishes. With the exception of the Lamb Luc, which was made fresh (it was also the most expensive item on the menu), everything else (Baby Octopus, Pork Belly Bahn Bao, Fresh Spring Rolls, and the Beef Pho) seemed pre-made and tasted more like fast-food quality dishes than restaurant quality dishes. Ambiance was small and tight, instead of intimate and romantic, and made it difficult for conversation unless you almost shout. If you must, go for lunch, but not for dinner, as they serve almost all the same food items (at cheaper and more honest and reasonable prices) during lunchtime."

  • "Having dinner there during Restaurant Week was amazing. I was able to try all the different plates they had meticulously prepared for the occasion. And they were great. The level of food provided in the restaurant is absolutely the best. I cannot be more grateful with everyone in the restaurant who really made me feel like home."

  • "The lamb and the crispy spring rolls were outstanding!"

  • "This is the second time I have eaten at this restaurant and the food was excellent but not unusual. Perhaps I am just getting jaded, but it seems to me that now that I have visibly aged (I am 67), my food is usually prepared more blandly than it was when I was younger. I could have used more spice. Our wait person seemed not to be on the ball. Rather than seeing that my shearing coat was too heavy for the chair and offering to hang it up, he let the chair fall over. He assumed that I would want to drink my beer out of the bottle, and he suggested what turned out to be fruit drink for my companion when she wanted a white wine recommendation. Nevertheless, I still think this restaurant offers an oasis of good Asian food in the West Loop."

  • "Nestled underneath the tracks on Lake Street, Saigon Sisters is right around the corner from the French Market. Having selected this restaurant from the Open Table list, we were not disappointed with the food which had good flavors accompanied by a variety of sauces. The menu was limited for lunch, but there were sufficient entrées from which to choose. While the restaurant was clean and decorated, the delicatessen atmosphere was not what I expected. Saigon Sisters has a wine list, but with most glasses of wine in the $15 range, it was easy to pass up for lunch. I thought that they might be trying to recoup their profits on the wine to compensate for moderately priced food. All-in-all, we had a good experience. The service was great."

  • "Very good food, even better service. We will be back"

  • "Had the gin drink, the one with basil seeds and the cognac drink and all were delicious. The papaya salad was perfectly flavored as always. The beef pho was very nice as well. The pork belly bao and the red snapper were very good but not quite amazing. Also, had a chardonnay which was great. Been here multiple times, never had a bad drink or glass of wine."

  • "Saigon Sisters is a true gem - world class food and attentive, experienced staff. We will go again and again."

  • "I enjoy this place more every time I visit. It's been a perfect spot for me to enjoy lunch with a colleague, dinner with a foodie friend, and a romantic dinner date with the husband. The ambiance is quiet, intimate, and modern. Very small, but that only lends to the "quiet and intimate" part of the experience. The food is phenomenal -- SO flavorful! Some of the dishes truly conjure up memories of some of the best dishes I ate while visiting Vietnam. Not a place I'd recommend for a big group or a rowdy crowd."

  • "This was a wonderful find in West Loop. The service was wonderful - the servers were helpful in teaching us about the differences between Vietnamese and Thai cuisine, and made us some excellent vegetarian meal suggestions. I would highly recommend this restaurant and will come here again."

  • "Friends had recommended the restaurant and we weren't disappointed. Food was excellent, waiter, David, and someone else, can't remember name, were energetic, helpful with suggestions and conscientious. The only disappointing part was the loudness. Overall, a great choice. Looking forward to our next visit."

  • "I really love this restaurant. I am from out of town, but have eaten here twice. The food is very well prepared, unique and carefully presented. Service is excellent. It is a small space but comfortable and I never feel rushed. You can tell that everyone who works there cares about your dining experience."

  • "My friend and I had a great dining experience here. Atmosphere is cozy and warm and the food is delicious! I was a bit leery of the location given it's next to Dunkin Donuts and a 7/11 and under the El but the restaurant is very nice inside. The service was very good. We will be back!"
