Outstanding! Great for sushi
lovers & novices. The mongolian lamb pops were the standout of the night, cooked to perfection of medium rare & luscious tasting. The lobster bomb was another highlight. Great menu variety of sushi & other asian fare - raw & cooked. Not the largest sushi menu, but the perfect balance of creative fare. Great wine & sake selection, but wish Momakawa Pearl was by the glass. The food came out a nice pace through our dining experience. The host and staff were polite and warm. Our server, Sandro (sp?) was perfectly attentive, very personable and truly made our evening so enjoyable for our first visit with some great recommendations. We will be back!"

My friend took me to SAIA for my
birthday. I love Sushi and I am very picky when it comes to sushi. The rainbow roll was really good. The fish was fresh, the roll was fresh, it was delicious. Our waiter was not very good, he did not follow through on my friends request for utensils or my request regular sodium soy sauce. However, I did see a waiter tending to another couple and from my standpoint seemed very good at his job."

The place is nice....excellent
location.. Nice service, minuscule but outstanding food presentation, etc. The only problem is that after spending $135 plus tip, for 2 people, we were hungrier that when we first arrived. Mind you, we are not big eaters. ( I only weight 165 lbs). After we left the restaurant were almost tempted to get a pizza next door. We would like to go back, since have a place around the corner and will go back in 30-40 days only one more time, just to re-check. Advise: please eat something before dining at SAIA"

Service was a little slow at first
but our waiter eventually got what kind of night we were looking to have...keep the food coming and keep the drinks full! We ordered several small plates to share and most were very good. The hamachi jalapino was delicious as were the miso scallops, but we ordered the mongolian lamb pops and even though there were only 4 and we had asked for them to be cooked medium, 2 were well done and two were rare...too rare for us to eat. We also ordered the Saia-Rita which was way too sweet so we asked for something else (with apologies) but the coast was not taken off of our total bill (which was large!) All in all a good experience. Really enjoyed the bi-polar martini's."

Small, creative menu choices, very
friendly hostess and wonderful windowside table overlooking A1A and the beach. We thoroughly enjoyed the evening. The restaurant validates, so valet parking was only $5...very reasonable for premium beach resort/restaurant. We're locals and didn't even know this place existed...will definitely be back."
Dined on 3/29/2014
Nice decor, average food, poor
service. The decor is trendy chic, and the beach views are great ... but that is where the good part ends. The food was simply an unimpressive "okay." Lamb lollipops was good, as the lobster bomb roll. The pomegranate duck was bland and overcooked. The tempura rock shrimp were just okay. The service was terrible: nobody came yo the table for over 15 minutes, and it was another 15 minutes until the server returned with the wine. It wasn't like the place was full: a quarter of the tables were empty. It was just really poor service. Not worth a return visit."

For sushi lovers and novices,
sushi by the fresh roll is not to be missed. Friendly staff and a menu with signature sushi rolls and mixed plates make the choices simple and satisfying. It is not cheap, even with a Groupon, but it is hand rolled fresh with a flare. Save room for dessert--the tira ma sushi looks just like a sushi roll, but is a roll of chocolate cake, tiny, round red gelatin on top that looked like fish eggs, a small scoop of green tea ice cream to look like wasabi and real chocolate in a soy sauce dish to dip the dessert. Outstanding!"
Dined on 3/23/2014
Not only was the food great, but
the service was excellent Out waiter made a great suggestion for a choice of sake and dessert. Everyone was very polite, the food came out fast, and presentation of sushi was great."
Dined on 3/21/2014
Had a great evening here for girls
night out. Everything we ordered was tasty and the cocktails were amazing. Highly recommend the lobster bomb roll. Our waitress was fantastic."
Dined on 3/15/2014
Just okay. Definitely better fine
Asian dining optionson the beach, but good service and good food."
Dined on 3/15/2014
This upscale sushi/Asian
restaurant in the main floor of the B hotel on A1A and the beach is one of our favorites. We seem to have a special table and naturally a special waiter. The lamb chop appetizer is always terrific. So much so we had 2 orders. The Lobster Bomb Sushi role melts in your mouth and the Shrimp Pad Thai with its watchful giant langostino on top was wonderful. The manager is very knowledgeable about the wine list and extremely gracious about the changes in their cellar. Be wary of walking through a gaggle of Hotel entrance smokers on the way into restaurant. Valet parking makes this a great place to eat on the beach. A decent bar crowd. A nice outside on the ocean dining area.Signup for eMail for monthly specials."

Great location right on the ocean.
Everything we ordered was delicious, especially the "lamp lollipops". The drinks were also unique and delicious. It is actually now one of my favorite restaurants."
Dined on 3/13/2014
Our waitress was great but our
sushi rolls came out one after the other and the last one came out 10 minutes after the previous roll...so you sit there and get full from not eating just to get another roll to your table. Would have been better had they all come out at once and we were able to sample off of the one plate. The drinks were good and our server was great! We went at night so couldn't see the water but the vibe at night was very east coast Florida."
Dined on 1/23/2014
Sandro, thw waiter was great.
Sushi was good, but small. Lamb lollipops were spectacular."
Dined on 3/8/2014
Great find in Fort Lauderdale vast
culinary choices. Great varied fusions of Asian foods."
Dined on 3/7/2014
Awful food, horrible service ,
typically rude tourist like treatment, unaccomodating sushi chef...(wouldn't slice my sashimi thin ) water like soup. Loud techno music. I could describe more ways to waste your money here but don't waste yours!"
Dined on 3/7/2014
Not easy to find a good sushi
place in Fort Lauderdale. This is one of the better places. Nice decor, good food. Will be back."
Dined on 3/2/2014
We had a great time and it
delivered what we needed for being first time goers. Food, drinks and ambiance offered us a night to remember!"
Dined on 3/2/2014
We went to SA1A because we had a
Groupon. Excellent menu choices for Sushi and cooked food. We had sushi appetizers and Sea Bass entree. Enjoyed everything. Will go back with or without Groupon and seats by window facing ocean."
Dined on 2/28/2014
Location, ambiance, and food were
very good. Server knew menu and made good recommendations but was hard to locate and not attentive enough. Sushi was very good and original. Many other choices for those not interested in Sushi.."
Dined on 2/22/2014
I am really content with this
restaurant. The service was superb, the food was delicious and the ambience is breathtaking. I will definitely go again on another romantic occasion."
Dined on 2/16/2014
We went here for Valentine's day
weekend dinner out. We had a Groupon so we were able to try more foods then we normally would have been able to. The rolls were a great value and the drinks were great. Our server knew the menu and made suggestions to us and had nice conversations with us. All around it was a great experience and we want to go back again. Softshell Dynamite and Fire Dragon Roll were our two favorites that we tried."
Dined on 2/15/2014
Restaurant has a romantic ambiance
and decor. Great place to have a romantic dinner or simply dine out with family and friends. I did not have the opportunity to explore the full menu (fixed menu at the time of visit). Service was adequate, but for a restaurant that aspires to be considered upscale, improvements are needed. Ocean view available pretty much anywhere in the restaurant."
Dined on 2/14/2014
We did not get the chance to try
out SAIA on valentine's day as we expected. We booked a reservation and we were seated immediately, however, we had to leave as soon as we found out that they did not have vegetarian or vegan options. They had a set menu for the night, which is fine but on the website it does not clearly state that. Also, the manager who spoke with us did not have any suggestions for vegetarian or vegan options. He tried to pursue us to eat certain things because he did not know the difference between the two. In addition, he asked us if were choosing to be vegans. We wanted to try SAIA out because we planned to have our rehearsal dinner there. I know that we only been there once but first impression is everything."

better. highly recommend for delicious sushi!"

Very much enjoyed our meal. the
food was fresh and well prepared. The staff was pleasant and helpful but not overbearing."
Dined on 2/5/2014
We went there as a group of 7,
ranging from 12 to 70 years old. The decor of the restaurant is beautiful, our waiter Anatoli was extremely nice. The food is beautifully prepared by the Thai chef and cooked to absolute perfection. Soups, pad Thai, udon salmon and the sushi/ maki were all excellent"
Dined on 2/3/2014
We were here Saturday night and
the place wasn't crowded. We sat outside which is right by A1A but still very nice. The ocean is across the street and breeze is definitely adding a nice touch. We shared a bottle of wine, had a miso soup each and also shared 4 rolls. The food was outstanding! It is not cheap but definitely worth it. Tastes were put together perfectly and fish was extremely fresh. Rolls were pretty big too; the two of us could not finish all 4. Our server was very pleasant as well. We fully enjoyed this experience. The only thing we found really not fitting was music. Very strange choice! P.S. Valet is $12 but finding parking in this area is a real challenge."
Dined on 2/1/2014
We had heard great things about
this restaurant. Maybe we hit it on an off night, but it just was not very good. The service was extremely slow and the food was disappointing to say the least. The setting was great however."
Dined on 1/31/2014
My wife and i stopped in for our
anniversary. We went in at 6pm and sat on the patio by the beach. The view was great and the food was even better. The server was very attentive and when we mentioned our special day they brought us out a off menu dessert from the chef. We just made reservations for Valentines day and can't wait to go back."
Dined on 1/25/2014
the food was excellent and they
made a wonderful presentation. It is inside the Ocean B Hotel which is fairly modern as is the restaurant."
Dined on 1/26/2014
Enjoyed our meal and the service
was excellent I ordered a hot sake and then another it cost 38.00 that's a little pricey The lobster bomb was very good and we had sushi which was good too Nice place we were staying at the b ocean hotel"
Dined on 1/24/2014
The menu has many intriguing
choices and the ones we tried were outstanding, including the lamb chop "lollipops", the tuna tartare and the knock out roll. Our server was very friendly and wanted to please, but our courses (it was just the two of us) arrived completely out of synch so we spent a lot of time watching each other eat. This was not necessarily the server's fault -- the kitchen may have been out of synch because of one large party that was in the restaurant - not many other tables were occupied on this Thursday night. The piped-in music is loud, making it difficult to converse, even though it was early in the evening -- 7:00 pm. It would be better to wait a while before cranking up the sound."

Some of the best sushi rolls I
have ever had. Very creative and tasty. A little higher priced but worth it!!!"

What a great experience at SAIA!
The food was delicious, drinks unique and service impeccable. I will definitely be back!"
Dined on 1/13/2014
Too expensive for the
taste.....the service was good, our server was very professional but we received our plates at different times(problem with kitchen)... my friend received his plate over 5minutes before me..... They have a problem with the air conditionning, we received water from the sealing. We had to move."
Dined on 1/10/2014
Food was excellent and received at
a fast time. The service we received was excellent!"
Dined on 1/6/2014
The food was wonderful, service
could be better. We will be back for of those yummy food."

I was looking for an upscale Asian
restaurant for my daughter's 18th birthday. I found this restaurant on the internet and it looked like the right fit not knowing how the food would measure up. It turned out to be the PERFECT fit!! The restaurant and hotel in which it is located is beautiful. The service was excellent, the food was excellent, and the atmosphere was excellent. They have a nice sushi menu, but they have many other choices for all tastes. They were also very accommodating for one of our party that had many dietary restrictions. I would definitely recommend Saia and I would definitely return!!"
Dined on 1/2/2014
I had high hopes for this sushi
bar on the beach. The two appetizers we wanted to order we out. We had to order the lamb popsicles, which were gristle and some meat. The sushi order was completely different then the menu. I ordered a roll with jalapenos and my girlfriend who can't handle anything spicy. My roll had no jalepenos and hers was full of them. We asked our server what happened and she said the roll my girlfriend ordered always had them and the menu was misprinted. I asked why mine didn't have jalapenos, again it was blamed on a menu misprint. Overall the food wasn't very good and the prices were high :( I have had much better sushi for less. You are paying to be on the beach."
