Sahara Middle Eastern RestaurantVery fine meal! The only thing missing was "Home Made Pita". Store bought and cold, does not cut it with such good food otherwise.
Gotta try the Hush-Puppies6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMLove Sahara, not Belly DancingWe are regulars at Sahara, which is near our home. We tend to get the same favorite dishes on most visits. The food is generally consistent and very yummy. Service is comfortable. Just keep in mind if you are going for a quiet dinner and chatting, check with them about their Belly Dancing performances. We forgot the other night, went at main dinner time on a Saturday and were seated under a speaker. When the Belly Dancing occurred, the music was very loud for us and we couldn't talk easily. I am sure the performance is enjoyed by many, but that night it was not of interest to us and was a little disruptive. So, depending on your interest, check the schedule -- it may be just Saturday nights. Overall, again, we like Sahara!6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMVery surprised to find thisVery surprised to find this local gem. Food was excellent and reasonably priced. Worth stopping6/6/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat eveningOur neighborhood group of 4 couples go out to dinner quarterly. It was my turn to choose the restaurant and I chose Sahara as I am trying to find a local Middle Eastern restaurant as good as the two we tried in London. This is as close as I have come to finding that... The food was great, the service good and the Lebanese red wine delicious. Every one enjoyed the evening. DG5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMgreat food as usualThe food was amazing and I am a HUGE fan of Lubna's Spicy Chicken. The service was poor on Sunday evening when we went. We have been to Sahara many times and this is the first time I can report bad service. The restaurant was very slow and quiet when we were there which leads me to believe that the service is better when the restaurant is full.5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat FoodWe had a very nice dining experience at Sahara. The lamb and plum tangine was wonderful, well worth the trip. The Sahara plate was a great mix of Morrocan specialties, very good.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMWhat a Gem!I had no idea what to expect dining at a Moroccan restaurant. I was looking for different and found the Sahara on OpenTable. The hummus was fantastic and the best I have ever had. The main course, Louba's Spicy Chicken was excellent. The spices were wonderful and flavorful. The chicken was tender and the sauce was outstanding. My date had the salmon and it was wonderful too. I look forward to eating there again. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive. I highly recommend the Sahara!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent food. Delicious.Excellent food. Delicious. Good portions and good prices. Service was a bit slow, but it was very busy so I understand that. The belly dancer was irritatingly loud. Would be better without her.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was amazing. However,The food was amazing. However, I feel it was a bit expensive. If I didn't have a "coupon" for a meal I don't think it would have been my first choice. I went on a Friday evening which was a mistake because it was crowded and the serivice was a little under staffed. I think we waited a little under ten minutes for someone to bring us water.
Once the staff got it together, the service was pretty good.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMTerrific food...Service wasTerrific food...Service was too slow and when food arrived was cold.4/10/2013 12:00:00 AMWe went to Sahara with ourWe went to Sahara with our children. We all had a great time. The service was good, the food was outstanding! We were all satisfied with the experience, and will definitely return!4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was great, the serviceThe food was great, the service quite good, but I was very disappointed in the seating. I asked for specific seeing by the window, 2 weeks in advance, and not by the kitchen. We were seated near the kitchen, right under the speaker. Maybe they could pay more attention to requested made that far in advance and try to accommodate that. thank you.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMBest Middle Eastern in SE DenverGreat owners and the best Middle Eastern cuisine in the entire area of south metro Denver. Top picks: gyros, almost any lamb dish, kabob dishes. The only negative--they charged for a side of cucumber yogurt sauce--I've never been charged for sauce anywhere. It didn't bother me but it might bother others.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMMUST GO!!! Food is fantastic!!!!Sahara has some of the best Middle Eastern food around. You definitely cannot find better hummas anywhere. The live belly dancer on the weekends is a fun extra.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMSuperb. Marvelous middle easternSuperb. Marvelous middle eastern food freshly prepared. I've been going there for fifteen years, and intend to keep coming back.3/7/2013 12:00:00 AMFar surpassed expectations!Nothing about Sahara prepares one for the absolutely wonderful food that appears from their kitchen. The location is not elegant (overgrown strip mall) and it's appearance from the parking lot doesn't give a hint of what's inside. But what is inside is a very pleasant ambience, good service, and outstanding food. It is our newest "favorite restaurant" find.1/1/0001 4:00:00 PM
