Diner Reviews
  • "Pricey but completely worth it for the ambiance and the food"

  • "Good food, great service, friendly staff. Whats not to like?"

  • "We ate their for lunch for my daughters birthday. I have eaten Sirloin before but it was so tender I thought I had a filet. Wonderful food and atmospher . A must visit place ."

  • "We are regulars at the Northpoint Diner owned by the same group. We have wanted to a try Sage for a couple of years now. We reserve 5 star ratings for over the top experiences, but Sage is a solid 4 plus in all areas. We had limited time, so skipped starters and dessert. Not a problem, since the food was very good with nice sized portions like we are served at the Diner. Service and decor are nice. It was very convenient to our concert at the Verizon Amphitheater. We will return again on a concert night."

  • "I've been to Sage a few times, despite some of the negative reviews, I've yet to experience anything but prompt friendly service and real good food at reasonable prices. Great wine list too!"

  • "Had a wonderful meal with good friends. Sage is a great place for good food , great drinks and has a very good wine list. The atmosphere is very cozy and classy. "

  • "Food was great and service was excellent. We were there fairly early at 6 PM and it was very quiet. they had live music that was starting as we left the restaurant."
    Dined on 5/31/2014
  • "There was a gigantic rip in the leather booth where we were seated. This is inexcusable. The server graciously agree to relocate our party of 4 but we reluctantly declined since it was a special celebration and we were enjoying appetizers. Since it only impacted me and my special occasion dress. However, it was annoying."

  • "Our Mother's Day experience was really great especially the Food and Excellent Service. Unfortunately is was all sub-optimized when my iPhone was stolen after I briefly left it in the rest room. What a major damper to an otherwise really nice day/experience."
    Dined on 5/11/2014
  • "Excellent food. Went for mother's day thinking it would be good for kids too but a little too nice for that! Good place for adults in the evening though."
    Dined on 5/11/2014
  • "Chef's special that night was iron steak which was surprisingly tender. I' glad I tried it but would probably order a filet next time. Appetizers are always a favorite and we have made a meal of them before. The scallops were perfectly cooked and a nice complement to the meal. Try everything!"
    Dined on 5/9/2014
  • "We arrived to a changed special menu for Mother's Day. They took off the low priced items ie. the burger or meatloaf and increased all prices by $3-$5 for the same items. The old menu was behind the special mothers day menu. I have teens who only like the burger. I server was rude and was hard looking. Nothing you would expect for $40 a per dinner. We will never be back."

  • "This restaurant had the perfect atmosphere for our Mother's Day lunch, the food was great, the waiter was excellent and the space was roomy for our large group. The only downside is it's not kid-friendly; there were no bathroom changing tables or kid menus."
    Dined on 5/11/2014
  • "Sage was a HUGE disappointment. They were completely unprepared for the day. Very unprofessional. Brunch menu was uninspired and boring. No mimosas? No butter or jelly for biscuits. Staff was confused and unprepared. It felt like we were eating at a restaurant that was open on their first night. Amateurs. I should have taken heed when I got an email the day before that the menu had changed."
    Dined on 5/11/2014
  • "The lighting was so low numerous guests were using cell phones to read menus. Sound system went nuts with high pitched noise for a few minutes. Then violin music began at a very loud level. Asked several times for it to be lowered. Food was excellent. Service was a little slow to start but improved. Wait staff got the order wrong (they don't write anything down) but corrected it quickly. "

  • "We had not been to Sage for four years but have always gone there in the past for special occasions which we did the time for our anniversary and were not disappointed. The quality of the food is still great and we would recommend the restaurant to anybody."

  • "food for our table of 3 was great. our server, not good. She was never there when we needed her and lunch took longer than our schedules allowed. Also the server reached directly across my FACE more than once! She nearly got her sleve in my food. I will go back, BUT I will SPECIFICALLY as to NOT have this particular server."

  • " We came to ATL to get away for the weekend and have some awesome food adventures. Sage did not disappoint with that tall order! Ralph, our sever was fantastic! He had a great wine recommendation and was very knowledgeable about the menu. Our meals were cooked perfectly and everything was delicious. The only regret I have is that we both ordered salads before our meal and they were so large that I was full before our entrées arrived. Ralph suggested the dessert special, raspberry cheesecake. I'm not a cheesecake fan but my husband is, so we got a piece to go. It smelled so amazing that I tried a bite and proceeded to eat the whole thing! This restaurant is worth the 4 hour drive just to eat there again!"

  • "Waiter could not keep up with his tables. He was walking around focusing on cleaning empty glasses & bread plates off tables when we were sitting with no drinks or food. "

  • "The ambiance at SAGE was wonderful! My 3 friends and I we were all set for a nice dinner. We arrived at 6:30 and were quickly disappointed. Service was poor and food served cold. "

  • "I have eaten at this location numerous times. The food is great, creative and presented very well. There were four of us, we dine out every week together and all decided this was the worst experience based on service we have had in seven years. The waiter was so un attentive that we kept asking others for everything wee needed! I spend a lot of hard earned money to enjoy evenings out with my wife and friends. This particular event was a total waste of good money. I will never return to any place owned by this group. The best food in the world served poorly is bad food. This waiter needed training, "

  • "Great food! Service was just OK. Our server didn't do very much to enhance the dining experience. Basically just took our order and brought things out. The food was awesome, though. Steak was cooked perfectly, great spinach and lump crab shrimp were delicious!"

  • "First time at this restaurant, but always enjoyed their sister restaurant Spice, so thought we'd try it. The atmosphere was very cozy and romantic and the food was so good, our server Nick was very nice and helpful, and we will go back!"

  • "This is my second visit to Sage and I am still underwhelmed. The service was slow despite the restaurant being half empty. The biggest complaint I have is that our drink glasses (water, tea, coke) were always empty. That really takes away from the enjoyment of a meal for me. The food was fine but not exceptional."

  • "Unique flavors--- from one of the best martinis ever to fresh, vibrant salads, Sage puts its own flavors and personality on food. Alpharetta has many restaurants; Sage is a standout. Live music that all can enjoy."

  • "We love Sage! We have out of town guest visit often and we take them to Sage! Food and service is always 5 star!"

  • "I have been a customer of this restaurant for years and the menu and food continues to get better. If one wants a variety: this is the place for it . If you want a particular dish, ask them to prepare it. Most times it will be made for you."

  • "The venue is pretty, the food is pretty average the service just ok. Prices are average. Good if you feel like going out locally."

  • "We went to celebrate my mom's birthday. The service was exceptional, and the food was delicious. We each had the filet - it was tender and prepared just as requested. Very nice touch - they surprised my mom with a delicious dessert "platter.""

  • "I understand the "mood lighting" but it's almost so dark you can't read the menus. the waitress was one of the best I've ever had. the food was average. my fettuccine was overcooked. my boyfriend's baked potato was dry. the mushroom appetizer wasn't good, the mushrooms were chewy and you couldn't tell that was crab meat inside it was mushy. his drink was excellent (martini), my sweet tea was good. his steak (ribeye) was cooked to perfection he said better than Longhorns even."

  • "Very good food but service was slow. It was a busy night, so would give it a second chance."
    Dined on 3/8/2014
  • "We got the Sea Bass special and the Yellowfin Tuna from the menu - the Tuna trumped!"
    Dined on 3/7/2014
  • "Menu looked great, but execution was poor. Waiter was excellent. Atmosphere was cheesy, amplified by synthesized jazz that was reminiscent of the music they play in Singaporean hotel lobbies. Black walls and red lights ... This place is a pickup bar for the 50 year old and plus set. Overpriced for the overall experience. Disappointed."
    Dined on 3/7/2014
  • "I wanted my experience here to be better, it just wasn't. I was charged the wrong price for my entree and the waitress insisted I wasn't. I saw the manager as I was leaving and........turns out I was incorrectly charged. He offered me a dessert to "make up" for it but at that point I told him not to worry about it. The best thing I could probably do is just not dine there anymore."

  • "Food was great, as well as service. We had a table in the back but the noise level was still too loud."
    Dined on 3/1/2014
  • "Sage is personal favorite restaurant- the steaks are amazing. & plated beautifully! I think we hit an off night, but waiter forgot my wine order and when reminded brought the wrong one (Who drinks white wine with steaks?). Other than that it was terrific and the creme brûlée was excellent ! Very popular among business people ..."

  • "I would not plan a return to Sage. It was so noisy I couldn't hear my wife across the table. The waitress was pleasant, but the service was the slowest I have ever encountered. My wife had a filet, which, she said, she enjoyed. I had scallops, which were fair. As far as I am concerned, the menu lacked sufficient choices. That was my last visit."
    Dined on 2/15/2014
  • "My wife went on 2/15, bar service was good. we had to wait 35 min to be sited, and then another 30 min for or waiter to show up. from time of order it was another 50 until our food showed up, we were just getting ready to leave. my wife's food was warm and my rib eye and baked potato were cold, the steak was very tough and the potato was microwaved and hard as a rock. They did take that off the bill. we would never go back again nore recommend it for it."
