Sage Restaurant - TallahasseeSpecial DinerBesides the food being absolutely great, Daniel, our waiter and his trainee, were perfect in their service. He helped make the event excellent!5/7/2013 12:00:00 AMGraduation CelebrationOur son graduated from Florida State University and we chose Sage to go to for lunch after the ceremony. It was the perfect choice and we were a party of seven! Everyone there is super friendly and they even accommodated us when we had to change the reservation time twice due to scheduling conflicts. The food is phenomenal, Steak Frite, Prime Rib Burger, the Pulled Pork Special, Trout, Portobello Sandwich and the list goes on and on. The desserts are all unique and a must have! Upside-Down Carrot Cake, Guava Cheesecake, Brownie and the Cookie Selection were all to die for! We all wished we could try everything on the menu, especially all the desserts! We will definitely visit Sage again when were are back in Tallahassee!5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMLadies LunchWe celebrated a friends birthday on Wednesday and sat on the patio..... Everything was wonderful ! It was like lunching in Paris!4/30/2013 12:00:00 AMOutstanding! When I arrived for my reservation, I was warmly greeted and promptly seated.
I ordered the mussel special that my server told me about and was very pleased.
They were perfectly cooked in a flavorful saffron tomato broth with grilled bread and
Tarragon aioli. For my entree I decided on the duck and quail with sweet potato fries and
North Carolina ramps (you don't see those on menus in tallahassee). Once again it was
Amazing. My server Caitlin suggested an awesome Bordeaux that complimented my meal
Perfectly. For dessert I tried the ice cream sandwich that was a delicious and playful ending
to a great meal. All in all this was one of the best meals I've had in quite some. Highly recommended!4/24/2013 12:00:00 AMCrab cake appetizers wereCrab cake appetizers were chock full of crab and cooked perfectly. All entrees were great: cobia, pork, duck and quail.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMDivine dining at SageFrom the complimentary bubbles and amuse-bouche sent out by Chef Terry White (a delectable lamb meatball) to the round of appetizers we shared in lieu of entrees to our fantastic roasted Brussels sprout salads, this was one of the best Sage dining experiences yet (and I am a devoted fan who dines there as often as possible). It was a perfect evening to eat on the charming patio and share a bottle of wine (or two) with old friends and catch up on their news. It was truly divine dining!4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMMy husband and I went to celebrateMy husband and I went to celebrate our 5th Wedding Anniversary. The service was top notch, we werent ignored but server popped over at just the right times. He suggested a great wine, and it was a treat to be able to purchase a bottle to take home. A very special night, we will be back again, definitely before another anniversary comes around!4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMFabulous Tallahassee find.Fabulous Tallahassee find. Elegant dining and food.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat fine dining experience.Excellent, creative food with excellent service. The brussel sprout salad was tasty and the andouille-crusted fish was different and excellent.3/28/2013 12:00:00 AMSage is great! One of our favorites! There was a large, energetic party when we arrived at 9 pm, but they left before too long and it was a quiet, romantic dinner after that. Food was excellent and very innovative. Not your average menu. The asparagus veloute was outstanding.3/28/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was my first visit toThis was my first visit to Sage but not my last. I would rank this one of Tallahassee's best restaurants.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMIt just keeps getting better!I don’t know how it is possible but Sage just keeps getting better. MY wife and I had dinner at a special event last Wednesday (the anniversary of their reopening after the fire) and it was wonderful.I had salmon (from Scandinavia, I think) that was marvelous—light and incredibly tasty—by far the best salmon I ever had. My wife had a sea scallop and shrimp dish over pasta that she loved. Craig, the sommelier and the partner of Teri the Chef, recommended a sparking wine that was perfect for both dishes. RGinTally3/20/2013 12:00:00 AMI've been hearing about SageI've been hearing about Sage for quite some time and was more than pleased with the service, food, and atmosphere. This is by far and away one of the best spots for dinner in Tallahassee. Highly recommended for date nights! Good variety on the menu, generous portions, and everthing was delicious.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMHave wanted to try Sage forHave wanted to try Sage for a while. Was not disappointed at all. Even though we did not order wine, the list was great. The food and service also great. Would definitely go again3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMTallahassee's BestMy wife and I have been dining here at least twice a month for years and we can’t ever remember having a meal we didn’t think was great. The servers are young and friendly and very well trained in the art of service. The wine list is extensive, excellent and fairly priced and the servers are quite knowledgeable about the available wines. Craig, one of the partners, presides over the wine list and used to be a buyer for the largest wine store in Tallahassee. The décor is pleasant with lots of art that is rotated by various artists every month or so. Outside dining is available on a lovely small patio that has gas heaters for cool weather. Sage is usually crowded for both lunch and dinner so reservations are a good idea and can be made2/23/2013 12:00:00 AMSage has become the best high-endSage has become the best high-end restaurant in Tallahassee. My wife and I go there several times a month and it is always great. Wonderful food artfully presented by knowledgable and friendly staff. Excellent wine list at reasonable prices, and the staff is well informed about all of the wines. The patio for outside dining is lovely in good weather and gas heaters keep it cozy even on cool days. If you are a foodie you must try this place.
