Diner Reviews
  • "I've been to Sage quite a few times and I've never been disappointed by the food. The tom yum soup has an excellent flavor and is perfectly spicy. The northern Thai basil chicken, pad prig khing, and jungle curry are always excellent options if you enjoy spicy dishes."

  • "This place is totally perfect. I love thai food but so many of the places in Williamsburg are super expensive. This place was priced great for the food and drinks. The waiter, Oscar was great. We sat in the little back garden and enjoyed the light breeze. Inside they had a live Jazz band. The only thing is that if you sit outside you have to walk around to the front to get to the bathrooms. Other then that all my party enjoyed the food and ambience."

  • "Sage is fun place for small or large groups. The food was great, curry puffs a must - bar area lively with good music. Saturday evenings there is a cool 3 piece band in the dining room"

  • "Went here to meet my girlfriend's parents for the first time. Service was excellent, and the staff was so accommodating and helpful! Chose this place because of good reviews. Ordered seafood pad thai and the tom kha (coconut soup). Pad thai was delicious, but I especially enjoyed the tom kha. It was so flavorful. Girlfriend ordered the drunken noodles. She said it was good, but too salty. (Her taste palate is very sensitive to salt.) Her parents ordered the SAGE noodles and the red curry. I was told the red curry was really well balanced. Overall, we were very happy with the food. I'd definitely come back here again."

  • "Sea cancelled my reservation and I had to find another Thai resturant in Williamsburg. I found Sage from open table and was pleasantly pleased and will return again. SEA may have just lost a customer. The waitress was very helpful and knowledgeable about the menu and very helpful in my meal selection. The Golden Talapia Salad, Pad Thai Noodles w/Shrimp, Green Curry w/Tofu & the Bellini were excellent! Lots of flavor and just the right amount of heat (spice). The Talapia was nicely golden and went so well w/the Mango and salad. The Pad Thai was very flavorfull w/a hint of spice and the Green Curry was the perfect amount of heat. The portions are great, I took food home as well and it was even better the next day."

  • "Made a reservation rather last minute not knowing when my son's college graduation would end. Host called to confirm while the ceremony was going on and was very understanding that we may be running late. When we arrived, we discovered a delightful open dining room and were seated in a very comfortable booth. The service was a little slow for the light crowd but it did provide for a leisurely and enjoyable Sunday afternoon lunch. The prices were in line with the food and area and we were pleasantly surprised at the quality and taste. Ordered an appetizer sampler to start that was very good and several entrees - red curry, shrimp and cashews, mango avocado salad - that were all good. "

  • "We just moved back to the area. We really wanted this to be a place to be a regular haunt. It has a nice atmosphere and is close. Unfortunately my seafood stew was not great. I bit into a raw scallop and had to spit it out on my plate. When I told the waitress she looked at me with vacuous eyes and said sorry. If there had been even the smallest gesture to make things right, we would have tried it again, but nothing. But, I will say, my husband's meal was quite good. He had the short ribs special. Never say never, but right now it will not be on our list of restaurants."

  • "The hostess and host were very friendly, welcoming, and had a good energy. The servers were just okay, seemed as though they were not as happy to be working that night like the hostess and host. This was our first time at this restaurant, and we found it last minute using opentable. I am always looking for dining options that I can get points from. Overall the experience was good, and we will go back. I have already recommended Sage to several of my friends!"

  • "If you enjoy spicy curry, then the jungle curry is for you. It is flavorful and perfect for warming up on a cold night. The pad prik khing is also excellent, and less spicy if you're looking for something a little less intense. The rum punch was quite tasty too."

  • "Visited Sage in Brooklyn and had dinner on their early bird menu (4-6 PM) which came with an app, soup or salad, and entree (large portion)for $13-14. Friends had drinks, the patio doors were open on a seasonably warm fall day, and Erika Badu was croonin' on the speakers. All in all, Sage has a chill vibe, minimal noise so very easy to hold convo with dinner mates. Clean, modern ambiance and decor. Would visit again!"

  • "They did not have the yellow fin tuna the night that I was there but the red snapper more than made up for it. The fish was a perfect combination of crunchy exterior with a tender and delectable interior, served on a bed of chinese spinach and eggplant. Loved it!"
