Sagaponack Bar and GrillA most satisfying brunchTwo of us had the crab cake benedict, one an open-faced omelette of the day. The waitstaff was superb, the brunch menu had a choice as good as it gets (including a lobster omelette, lobster roll, steak and eggs, salads). The seating was extremely comfortable (we sat along one of the banquettes). Even their coffee is especially good. Be aware there's upstairs/ downstairs tables. A couple of the tables on the ground floor in the rear weren't well lit, the only drawback. The decor is attractive with beachy paintings on the walls of, I assume, the ocean views of the Hamptons town of Sagaponack. It was a perfect choice for a pre-theater brunch before an Irish Rep matinee down the block. A real find, highly recommended, I'll go again.4/28/2013 12:00:00 AMMy husband and I were joinedMy husband and I were joined by my daughter and her boyfriend for a delicious meal. This is our third visit to the Sagaponack. There were many lobster suggestions on the menu. We ordered the lobster pot pie and lobster mac 'n cheese. Pur portions were generous and contained more large pieces of lobster than I ever would expect. The food is fresh and the service is attentive, yet unobtrusive. Other diners were seated strategically so we were able to converse in privacy. We had a wonderful time and hope to return there soon.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMNice cozy neighborhood mealWe really enjoyed the quiet mid-week dinner date we had here -- the servers were lovely, the classic food well prepared, and the ambiance homey and comfortable, with a country home/hamptons vibe. I was a little sad that there weren't more fellow diners there (maybe because of the deserted location next to a parking lot), because I'd like them to stick around. I'm also planning to try the brunch, because it seems like a great spot for that.4/25/2013 12:00:00 AMOur experience was excellent. Our experience was excellent. The restaurant feels more like being in a lovely home rather than a NYC restaurant. The ambiance is quiet, relaxed, but upscale. Absolutely beautiful staircase. We were a party of 5 and could have a conversation in which no one had to yell over noise. Almost all of us had the crabcake benedict dish and enjoyed it very much. Nice waiter and overall positive experience. Thank you!4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMLovelyI have always passed by but gfs and I decided this time to stop in. It is the perfect lunch spot. The food is beautifully prepared. Lemonade was fresh, fresh, fresh. We will be back.4/16/2013 12:00:00 AMLove their lobster roll andLove their lobster roll and french fries. Meet friends and business contacts for lunch. Find it friendly and pleasant and one is never hurried out.4/15/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Seafood LunchWe went for lunch. We were seated right away (we did have reservations), and were attended to very quickly. I had the clam chowder which was far above average with a nice creamy texture and good chunks of clam and potato. After that, I had the lobster BLT, which was one of the better lobster sandwiches I have ever had. The mix of lobster and bacon was done in almost perfect proportions. My buddy had the korean BBQ sandwich, and he said that it was delicious. He said that he had been looking forward to it, because he had had it there a few other times, and he particularly liked it.
My only minor criticism was that other tables nearby that ordered after us were served before us. Not a big deal, but could have been explained.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMhad brunch, will return for dinner!Had a lovely family brunch here; table for 6 including kids.
The food was really good, the service nice, attentive and accommodating.
Will definitely come back. Like to try dinner here.
