A word from Saffire
Nestled within The Factory at Franklin, the chefs at Saffire begin stoking the coals early in the day, well before any guests ever arrive. These Tennessee Hickory coals radiate from within the hand-built smoker and cast iron grill of Saffire's exposed kitchen.

Locally grown produce and indigenous flavors combine with exotic ingredients, deliciously tender meats and a phenomenal array of wines and libations to create a menu that is uniquely Saffire. A welcoming staff further distinguishes your experience at Saffire from anywhere else around.

Locally and nationally acclaimed, Saffire is a neighborhood restaurant with a big city feel. It's a sought-after destination for both locals and visitors who know it is well worth the trip outside of Nashville to experience everything that only Saffire can provide. Wonderfully creative cuisine and spectacular wine, welcoming surroundings and attentive service; this is Saffire.

Diner Reviews
  • "We were disappointed in the meals we had chosen. Fish was too salty and didn't care for the smoked flavor of the prime rib and fries. The cocktails were very good. There was not a great selection of entrees. Servers were very friendly and prompt."

  • "Yummy! App: deep fried avacado. Main Peach Glazed Pork & Shrimp and Grits. A liitle pricey at $63 no drinks, plus tip. Special occasion, superb flavor"

  • "Lots of hype and I've wanted to try for quite some time. I did not think it was that impressive, but may have just been an off night. I may go back."

  • "We ordered delicious drinks, there was great live music, and our server was amazing. However, my Black and Bleu pasta (penne) was so greasy, there was an orange pool in the bottom of the bowl. It also had an overwhelming flavor of burnt garlic. According to the server, who was very understanding and did not charge me for it, this dish is hit or miss. My husband's pimento cheeseburger was pretty good. Overall, we've marked it off the bucket list and won't be returning. However, it would be a fun place for drinks and live music."

  • "We have use Saffire's many times with different groups of people for lunch and dinner or just sitting at the bar and it has always been good from the food to the wait staff. Located in the Franklin factory make it an interesting place to go."

  • "This place was awesome, the food was wonderful and our server Brad was exceptional!!!! Pretty pricey, but well worth it! Peach glazed pork chop was great!!"

  • "Saffire's has always been our "go to" restaurant - the one we can usually get into on short notice, they have good music on the weekends, and their fried oyster appetizer is the bomb. However, recently we suggested it to 4 friends for one of their birthdays so the 6 of us met there with open table reservations which landed us at the table for six back by the kitchen as far away from the great music as you could get! I ordered the filet which was really tough for a $36 piece of meat, my husband ordered the prime rib which was also tough, and the birthday boy ordered the special "hanger steak" which was also tough! Maybe they need to change their beef source…we probably won't go back for awhile!"

  • "After reading about this restaurant in a book on Nashville chefs, we ate lunch there on Saturday. It was every bit as good as described in the book, and we will make this one of our regular stops. My wife had the chicken-fried chicken, and it was outstanding - especially liked the gravy. I had the french dip, and it was perfect. Can't wait to go back again!"

  • "Food was delicious. Sun and Tues bottle wine special were a very pleasant surprise. Service was attentive. Issue with the factory fire alarm system (kept flashing throughout dinner) was a bit disturbing and ambiance killing, but otherwise a fantastic "sans kids couples night"!"

  • "My wife and I always look forward to dining at Saffire and our latest visit did not disappoint. Great food, great service, as usual. It can be a bit noisy, but that's because it is so popular. We had a drink at the bar prior to being seated and the folks behnd the bar could not have been more attentive and nice."

  • "Been to Saffire several times before and continue to enjoy the restaurant decor and menu. Service was outstanding and food was very good. We ordered the Redfish special, the Fish and Grits (mahi mahi), and the chicken fried chicken. By far the Fish and Grits was the best dish as agreed upon by all 4 of us. Also, the Caesar salad is very unusual and very good. The smaller caesar is still enough salad for 2."

  • "Totally loved the bam bam shrimp! Our prime rib was done as requested and excellent; I just prefer mine sliced thinner, just a personal choice. Truffle fries -YUM!"

  • "Saffire is my favorite restaurant in Franklin. The food was great- as usual- and my husband loved the leftovers I brought home to him! Server was not quite as attentive as they usually are, but I will definitely go back."

  • "Great service as always. Keep up the good work. Our particular waiter was fast and efficient, knowing we were in a time crunch due to attending a conference. food came out fairly fast and still hot."

  • "Staffire has become my go-to spot for client lunches from my 1st visit. Atmosphere is an awesome shabby-chic, menu is clean & easy, service is great & the food is fantastic!! Keep it up!!"

  • "Everything from the mismatched chairs and tables to the brick walls and giant metal frame glass windows add to the incredible experience of dining here. The good is fabulous and local grass fed beef. Earl gray martini was amazing. We had prime rib and grouper. Both were fabulous, followed by pecan chocolate pie, yum. Love love love this restaurant!"

  • "Everything about my wife and I's experience at Saffire was wonderful. We had reservations and were sat quickly after arriving. Our server was attentive and always around when we needed something but not overbearing. I got the caesar salad with ham and molasses, and the prime rib with truffle fries. My wife got the peach glazed pork chop. Everything was delicious. The peach glaze could have been a tad less sweet or used a little less liberally, but it didn't detract from the overall meal. We'll definitely be going back."

  • "Saffire never disappoints, perhaps because I always order the fried chicken. Delicious! Service was great and our server very knowledgeable about gluten free alternatives."

  • "went here for the first time on a date. Very nice in appearance, combining historic with contemporary feel. Live music was at the entrance of a long but narrow room. We were seated in the back where we could only hear talking of other patrons and not the music. So not ideal. The server read the specials off of a list - - didn't bother me - - but my date has working experience in fine dining and was a bit turned off by that. But otherwise, the service was attentive. bam bam shrimp was fantastic. pork chop and filet decent - - seemed a little cold on arrival"

  • "It's usually always crowded for dinner. Reserving a table several days in advance is a must. Even further back if the date you want is a special day (like Valentines). I ordered the chicken fried chicken and Caesar salad. Both are amazing. Incredibly delicious. It is pricey so it's not someplace you would eat at very often. But it's great for special occasions."

  • "Inside an old factory complex which provides an interesting venue. This also creates the one downfall for Safire..it is very noisy. Food is great, as is service, just don't select this spot for a quiet nite out."

  • "I took my husband to Saffire's for his birthday and he was very pleased! The food was good and the atmosphere was great! We will definitely try it again in the future. It was a great place for special occassions.A bit pricey but well worth it."

  • "With children, activities, and career we don't often get a date night. Safire has made our valuable short list of locations when that opportunity comes around again. Service is courteous and thoughtful. Food is prepared and presented with wonderful attention to detail. The oysters will melt in your mouth while the signature grits served with various seafood dishes is nearly sinfull. This was a great atmosphere for quiet conversation and enriching relationships. We will return soon!"

  • "We had a friend in town, visiting the Nashville area for the first time. Since her hotel was in Franklin, we decided to take her to Saffire - normally a sure hit. Unfortunately every dish we wanted, including the filet, lobster empanadas, and a specific liquor my husband wanted were sold out. Very disappointed. The food we did end up ordering was outstanding, and great service as usual. Just wish inventory had been planned a little better over Valentine's weekend."
